Why doesn't Premere elements 11 run after instellation?

Bought Photoshop and Premere elements 11 as a package. Photoshop runs fine. But, after installing premere elements, the program will not launch after clicking on the icon. Uninstall and reinstall - same thing.
Any ideas.

Some apps require updating when a new operating system comes out. Check with the developers of the apps you're having problems with and see if they have an update or workaround.

Why Doesn't Premiere Elements 12 Recognize My Sony AVCHD Camera?

This is my first attempt at using Premiere Elements 12. Unfortunately, it is not recognizing my Sony HDR AVCHD format camera. It uses a san disk. I get a message "No supported devices detected". It does find the jpg photos, though.
So I directly loaded the MTS files onto my iMac and created a DVD. It looked pretty good, but not as good as playing the camera directly on a TV. I found something on another Adobe site that indicated if there were problems with Premiere reading from the card that the files could be loaded to the hard drive. It said "Be sure to copy the entire file structure of the card instead if just the clips". I'm not sure what that means. All I did was download the MTS files.
So I really have 2 questions here -
1 - why doesn't Premiere recognize my camera
2- Is there something on the san card I missed downloading that could improve the quality of the DVD being created?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think that we need to make distinctions between Quality (how good or bad the results looks or sounds to you) and Resolution (Frame Size, Display Size). Often the two can go side by side.
What you are seeing at the camera level is 1080i which is interlaced video at 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second. What you are seeing when you play back your finished DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc is based on 720 x 480 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second (if standard 4:3) and 720 x 480 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second accompanied by a 16:9 flag to stretch the 720 x 480 to 856 x 480 for display after encoding. Another factor is what the TV or computer player is doing to your interlaced video for viewing purposes - deinterlacing or not and with what method. Some TV's come with technology to enhance the DVD-VIDEO display. Most TVs larger than 32 to 42 in tend to show the differences between higher and lower resolution more readily.
Since you have interlaced video source, each frame has two fields, with either Upper or Lower Field First. Your source probably is interlaced video with Upper Field First. Consequently, in the project, you may have to adjust that to Lower Field First if your destination is DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc which is characterized by Field Order Lower Field First. Something to look into for the "better" aspects considerations.
Now if you decide to take your Timeline content to AVCHD format on DVD disc, note that the format of AVCHD format on DVD disc is different from that of the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc (Instead of OpenDVD and VIDEO_TS Folder, you have the BDMV Folder). Your AVCHD on DVD disc will have resolution (Frame Size, Display Size) of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under these circumstances, the capacity of the DVD disc can become a problem with larger projects. When you burn your Timeline content to AVCHD format on DVD disc, what is on the disc will be an 29.97 interlaced frames per second characterized by Upper Field First. So, if your interlaced source and the destination product both use Field Order Upper Field First, then no need for Field Options adjusts. However you do have one opportunity for a progressive frame rate for the AVCHD on DVD. It is not 29.97, rather 24. See Presets = H.264 1920 x 1080p NTSC Dolby in the AVCHD on DVD set up in Publish+Share/Disc AVCHD disc.
I have generated some very great looking DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc (standard and widescreen) and have been very pleased with the results and how my viewers received them. The thought is getting the best possible DVD-VIDEO on DVD and enjoying it without laboring on how it might have looked as Blu-ray or AVCHD if you do not have Blu-ray and do not have a player for AVCHD on DVD disc.

Why doesn't Wifi Sync work after updating ITUNE?

Hello, I updated my Itune to 11.1.4.62 version.
After updating, WIFI sync doesn't work anymore. I have to connect the cable to my laptop to sync it. Before this upgrade it was working fine.
Now, I have Iphone 5. I run Windows 7.
I did all the recommended trouble shooting.
I disconnected the model and router and reconnected again.
On Summary page the Wifi Sync is CHECKED
I ran the diagnostic, but obviously it says iphone is not detected.
I reseted my iphone.
It still doesn't work.
How can I solve this matter and why does Apple have so many irrtating problems like this?

The passcode screen shows as usual but when I enter the passcode it says the passcode is invalid. This is the same passcode I have had for over a year, so I am sure I entered it correctly. I stopped trying before the phone was disabled though.
I've seen other similar posts but they mostly say connect it to my computer, start itunes, then restore. I haven't synced with itunes in a long time, not sure restoring it would be a good idea. I back up to iCloud much more frequently but can't remember for sure when I last did that either. I'm afraid of losing stuff in the process of restoring it.

Customer ask--why APM agent stays enabled (running) after all APM profiles removed

We had a situation where a customer was suggesting APM overhead was causing poor performance during a load test. I suggested the nuclear option--delete the APM profiles, bounce IIS, and test without it. They accepted, and I deleted the profiles,
cycled IIS, and went as far as confirming PMonitor.config and starter.config were 'clean'.
The next day during testing I was asked why APM was still running--someone had RDP'd, noticed the APM service was still running, and set it to disabled. While I could show them the config files, they have a point, the service does remain running. I

By design: the FIRST time an agent gets configured for APM, the service gets configured to start.
Even after the LAST application gets removed from monitoring, the service is not set back to ‘disabled’ automatically (simply because the configuration rule doesn’t KNOW that it is removing the LAST app… so it can’t determine
whether it’s safe to do).
If not set to disabled, the service will gets started even if set to ‘manual’, because there are still rules in OM whose datasource is subscribing to it (see diagram
here) and gets started by Windows. But, it does very little, when in this mode, since there is no profiler/instrumentation loaded, so no data passes thru it... just a few machine-wide perf counters are sent.
But it is safe to disable the service manually, if that’s what you want… after making sure that you REALLY removed all applications from monitoring, got the messages that config was removed, done your IISRESET’s to unload
the profiler, etc J
But if you disable it, and there still are applications configured that you forgot about... eventually the configuration rule will enable it again.

Why doesn't Photoshop Elements recognize my internet connection?

I've installed Elements. I had to register online because I can't sign in on my program's start up screen because photoshop says I'm not connected to the internet or that my clock is wrong. After registering online (outside the program) I told the program I'd sign in later just so I could get to the user interface. Once there, it still thinks I'm not connected to the internet, and as a result the "help" button just gives me a message that I need to be connected to the internet to use help.
But, I am connected - as I'm typing and submitting this question "online." So, any ideas what's going wrong?

Often means a problem with your anti-virus and/or firewall blocking access to Adobe servers. Some Firewall software also makes entries to your hosts file that have the same effect.
Temporarily disable your anti-virus and firewall and rename C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts to hosts.old to see if that lets the activation complete. Afterwards you can rename hosts back, and turn back on your firewall and anti-virus.
Also for activation start by right-clicking the PSE icon and selecting Run As Administrator in case there is a permissions problem.

Downloaded trial Elements 13 in folder on PC desktop, but it doesn't automatically start. 1.6GB .7Z file is not recognized. What should I do?

The first method on Adobe's website didn't work; tried it twice. But the second method worked.

Why doesn't photoshop Elements 10 install on my mac?

I have bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, it has been installed on 2 different windows laptops just fine.
I am trying to install it onto my macbook pro (vs 10.6.8) and I keep getting the error message "Installation failed to inistialise. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem".
I downloaded the ASA but as soon as it opens, it crashes.
So i downloaded the free trial of Elements 10, which was downloading fine, but upon installation i had the same error message (as above)
Does anyone have any suggestions, or know what the issue could be?

First of all, remove any bits that got installed from the failed installation. Check library>application support>adobe as well as the applications folder (you have three library folders--this is the one at the top level of your hard drive, not system>library or your username>library). Then try creating a new admin user and running the install from there.

Why doesn't work Windows 8 after an Update?

I have a few PCs with Windows 8 in a network server in a domain that after the last update they present error 0xc000021a. It's not difficult to fix but when i update the PCs again they show the same message. What can i do
in order to prevent that error or how to patch it so it doesn't show again?

P.D. The default OS of the PCs is Windows 8, no other OS had been ever installed in these PCs. There are 6 PC with Win 8 that are managed
by a PC with Win server 2008 R2.

Please see that bug check 0xC000021A occurs in a user-mode process, the most common culprits are third-party applications, driver update.
Please just check for updates after you did last known good configuration and start system normally, then see if there is any application or driver update. If so, please first hide it and install others to check the issue.
Then, Contact the manufacturer of the software or driver about a possible update.

SpywareBlaster was ok with FF3.6. Why doesn't any longer work after FF 4 installation?

Same release of SpywareBlaster doesn't start (Error on unpacking) after upgrade to FF4. No other change made.
It happens despite FF4 opened or not.

Why is Firefox continuing to run after I shut down the internet connection?

I am having a problem with Firefox not shutting down. I shut down the internet, then go back on later and I get an error message that Firefox is already running and that I will need to reboot my system to clear the problem. I am running Firefox 3.6.17 on Windows Xp with sp3. I tried running Firefox 4.0 and it just did not run at all so I went back to the previous version.

Hanging at exit is usually caused by and Extension or Plugin.
Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

In iCal, for ALL my laptop and desktop computers, you are able to get an alert message before and after an event. I would like to also have AFTER the event on my iPhone, BUT there is NO AFTER option..........am I missing something?

Looking at your code you set the GridBagLayout manager to the ContentPane. You add the text area to the scrollpane and then try and specify the constraint of the textarea on the content pane, but its in the scrollpane. So you may want to change that too
Note that:
import java.io.*;
will import any classes required in the * directory meaning that you don't need the following line.
import java.io.IOException;
The same goes for
java.awt.*;
java.awt.event.*;
The java.lang package is imported as standard so you don't need to declare and import of this.

I close out of an internet site and then go to another link and I get the box that says "Firefox is still running," I wait and try again and it still tells me this.I try several times,I then reboot and start over.How do I stop this?

Why doesn't my iPod start after coupling it to iTunes 12? It is fully charged since last night

So I just downloaded version 12.1 of iTunes. When it was done I restarted my laptop, as requested for the download to finish. I then added the songs to iTunes and coupled my iPod Nano to my laptop. At first it reacted normal, then the screen went black and no synchronisation occured. My laptop gave the notification that "it didn't recognize the device", which is weird because this was not the first time I coupled my iPod to my laptop. When I detached my iPod it's screen remaind black and now I can't seem to turn it on again. What happend and how can I turn my iPod back on??

Why doesn't it repaint JTree after covering my frame with another window?

I have a simple application: there is a frame with a horizontal JSplitPane. The right component of this split pane is a JScrollPane with a geographic map (I really have a lot to draw). The left component of the main (horizontal) split pane is another JSplitPane - the vertical one. And I have a JTree on the left component of the vertical split pane.
Problem:
Any window that is dragged over my application erases the tree, main menu, and dividers of both split panes. (But it doesn't erase my map!). I even can "erase" my GUI with a message box! And more... My GUI restores when I change the frame size or if the tool tip expression over my tree appears. And everything is OK when I manipulate my GUI with no map on a scroll pane.
I'd appreciate deeply any working solution. Thanks a lot.
