Why doesn´t sync the calendar work after updating iPhone 3G to version 2.21

Help!!!
I updated my iPhone 3 G yesterday to the latest version 2.21. Unfortunately the update didn´t work properly, so I changed the USB plug-in and started again. This time I had to do a complete reinstallation of firmware and software. Everything worked well so far. My phone was recognized again and was updated to version 2.21. But when I wanted to sync the contacts and calendar (with Outlook 2007), videos, fotos, music and programs, the sync didn´t go on when the calendar should be synchronized with Outlook 2007. Another complete reinstallation didn´t help either. So what can I do?
Best regards

I have similar problems and spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with Apple support to no avail. Here are the specifics.
I updated my 3G to 2.2.1 and the sync did not take, though it left my laptop iCal in tact. Apple had me do the following: Hard reset of the phone; restart the computer; restore iPhone; Run the following in Terminal: /System/Library/Frameworks/SyncServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/resetsyn c.pl full;run killall (i forget the rest) in Terminal; wipe clean and create a new user on the iphone and sync; numerous other ineffective attempts including discarding a sync related folder. Nothing worked. I could, at one point, sync iCal, but only "all day" events synced but that no longer works either. Also, my mail accounts were lost, but I had no problems with my music or apps. iCal and Mail are the two main reasons I have an iPhone :-P
Apple support was great and even made an appointment for me at the Apple Store, but I don't think I'll be going. Especially if Apple doesn't come out with 2.2.2 in the next 2 days.

  • Why doesn't my App store work after upgrading to 6.0

    IPad 2 wifi
Just got it back from the shop and they did a reset.  When I was updating the IPad so it had the apps I wanted, one of the apps stated I had to have 6.0.  I thought why not.  Since the update, I have not been able to see my list of programs in the App Store under purchased.  It cycles for 5 minutes and then shuts down the App prog.  Took it in to the Apple store and they did all sorts of things to it (mostly through information provided through the communities, Not Apple) and said I had to restore it again.  Wipe and restore it and now it has no Apps other than the original and my list of downloaded programs are still inaccessible.  All other functions of the App Store program worked.
Just as a funny FYI, I downloaded the updated 10.7 ITunes to my laptop and it doesn't have access to my account either.  Just cycles and says the web site cannot be found.  Have another computer with 10.6 and the list works fine.
So now in order to find out what I had on my IPad, I have to either wait for an update to unscrew this mess, or downgrade to 5.1.1 (which isn't available through apple), or go through a list of 4000+ apps and games and hope that I can find the ones that I had before.
I am used to this kind of crap through a PC based system so I learned to make backups.  I guess I need to start learning if apple has a way to do that now because they are as screwed up as PC's.

I would suggest deleting the Safari Preference Files and Caches.
    To do this:
Go to Apple Menu Bar> Go> Library. (You must hold the option key to have the Library option be shown in the menu).
Then go to the Caches folder and look for a folder that says "com.apple.safari" or something similar. Drag that folder to the Trash.
After that, go to the Preferences folder in the Library and look for a file called "Safari.plist" or something similar. Again, drag that file to the Trash.
Close the Finder window and relauch Safari.
    Hope this helps!

  • Sync no longer works after update to Firefox 29

After my desktop Firefox automatically updated to version 29,
I can no longer see "tabs from other computers".
Not my Firefox at work (updated by administrator after extensive reviews),
not my Firefox for Android (updated via Android Market),
not my Firefox on my Macbook (version 28),
not my Firefox on my Linux and Windows machines.
Note: Updating all firefox instances on the sync account at the same time is NOT an option.
Especially since not all of them are administred by me.

"The new version of Sync only works with the latest Firefox and you can't use both the old and new Sync at the same time. "
I don't want any new sync.
I want the old sync that works with all the clients I have,
that I have no power to update myself!
This is a very common situation after all.
"While the old version of Sync will continue to work..."
...aparently not. That browser never asked to update to any new version of Weave/Sync, so it should still be on the old one.

  • Why won't my HDMI output work after update my iPad to iOS6?

After updating my iPad to iOS6 it won't play my videos on my tv via HDMI cable. The tv displays "invalid format" I don't know how to chnage the display settings on the iPad because maybe there are none. • WLAN Sync does not work after Update to version 10.5.1

Today I have updated my iTunes to version 10.5.1.
Before the update my iPhone was showed under Devices in iTunes and I could start the WLAN Sync directly from iTunes.
After the update my iPhone is only showed when I connect it via the USB-Cable. I can't sync via WLAN.
I've got an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 and a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.7.2.
    Can someone help me?

I am having similar trouble. My Apple TV (first generation), and both my iPhone 4 and my wife's 3GS are missing from the device menu. The "Sync via Wi-Fi" boxes are checked and all devices can see the network. I looked at my router's (using the cheap actiontec supplied by Verizon FIOS for the past year) settings and they seem to be OK.
    Any help would be great.

  • Actual date doesn't mtach the calendar display on my iphone

I am currently traveling, and I noticed, that my phone had the wrong time listed in the diplay. I went to "General Setting" amd manually changed the time and went to change the date and noticed I had an issue. When I open the calendar, it may say "May 8, 2008" but the actual calendar display is "April 8, 2008" All the days of the month line up correctly, and if I click on an event, it display the corret date information, but the calendar heading is April 2008. Also, I have noticed that all my event times are also now incorrect. Any clue what is going on and how to fix it?

I am in the same timezone as the country where I live. I have gone on my phone and played with all the different setting. It is so bizarre--- my calendar displaysal the correct days for the month of may and says it is May when I lick an event, but the heading at the top say April. I return to the states tomorrow, so I am hping this is corrected when I get back on my regular ATT network.

It was created when someone installed ScreenRecycler on your system.
ScreenRecycler is a third-party add-on. ScreenRecycler  system requirements show the OS X 10.8 release version is still in beta.  It is possible that you have updated your Mac OS but not yet found a compatible version of ScreenRecycler.
ScreenRecycler is also mentioned in multiple other Apple Discussions problem topics including these:

  • Data services stop working after updating to new OS version for Q10

I am from Qatar, after i updated my device ( Q10 SNQ100-3 ) to new OS ( 10.2.1.537 ), the mobile data services stopped working, but it works everytime I connect to wifi. This is the same with Z10. Please need help.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
    2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!
