Why doesn't the artist and album name show up on my iPod?

I edit each of my song through "Get Info", so I just simply type in the artist and album name. When I eject my iPod, the artist and album name doesn't show. Solution?

That happened to me too... It's a glitch... what I did is press sync right when i put my ipod in.. sometimes it doesn't work... just do it some other time again...or change someting in the song (getting info) It appears randomly...

Without more information, speculation is a waste of time. At the least tell us what you do, what the results are, and how that result differs from your expectation. Then tell us what steps you have taken to resolve the issue, and what the results of taking those steps was.
once you choose repair does it give you an indication it is working?

You mean font previews themselves in the list? You can set the size and disable via Type > Font Preview Size.

I backed up my itunes library to an external drive.It's 119 gb.It took about an hour.When I looked at the files it list the artists and albums but then says the files are empty.On the C drive of my own computer it says they are empty.Why would this be ?

How to get back artist and album name

I have bought or imported all of my music through itunes. However, when I updated to itunes 10, most of my artist and album information was lost. Adobe Reader - FREE - reads PDF files, prints them, fills forms.
Adobe Acrobat - $$ - as Reader, and makes PDFs and edits them, sorta, and does a bunch more.
So if you had Acrobat try and find the license to avoid having to pay again...

I accidentally changed the artist and album title for half my library. How can I fix the metadata on these songs?

I am using Match. I have tried Tagalicious, as well as a script someone wrote to fix metadata, but they only caught about a third of the mis-tagged songs. Can anyone suggest a way to fix all of the metadata? Is there some kind of automated Shazam type thing that will analyze the track and identify it and update the tags?

I have a script called ExportImport for this task, but it only runs in Windows.
In principle something similar should be possible in AppleScript, but I don't currently have access to a Mac to write it myself.

Organizing albums with same artist and album name

This has bothered me for some time.
I have Bob Dylan's 1973 album titled "Dylan," as well as his 2-disc greatest hits of the same name. iTunes has merged the albums together. I made sure the release dates on the songs are different, and even tried changing the sort titles, but iTunes still treats them as one album and mixes the songs together.
Is there any way I can teach/tell iTunes that these albums should be organized separately??

There is Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits in 1967 and Bob Dylans Greatest Hits Volume 2 in 1971.
Then there is Dylan in 2007 but it is 3 discs.

The plugin is visually verified to be properly installed in the "Internet Plug-Ins" folder in the main library, and not the user library.

My doubt was correct. It was all due to the blank device list. After lot of struggle I found this solution worked for me:
1. As soon as the plug-in tries to access webcam, it will show you "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
2. Click Deny then Close to close it
3. Now press tab key on keyboard. It will highlight (in yellow) and show list of devices in video device dropdown control (This could be little bit tricky and you need to put little bit more efforts to see the list). You can now select your webcam as device here.
4. Press Tab key again to go audio dropdown and select audio device.
5. Then right click and bring up "Adobe Flash Player Settings" again.
6. Under Microphone and Camera tabs, make sure we select same devices we selected in 3 & 4 above
7. Come back to privacy tab and this time chose "Allow" and then close "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
8. You should now see the camera images in the plug-in
Conclusion: This is a workaround worked for me. Plug-in is quite unstable and there is definitely something here Adobe Flash Player plug-in developers need to do about.
Hope this workaround helps many other users.

Ipod touch isnt organizing music (artists and albums) and no search bar

my ipod touch stopped organizing the artists and albums in the music application since the last time i synced music... so when i go to music, artists, i see the artists not organized in letters.. it used to organize them, it used to put each artist in a letter section (the letter that the artist's name starts with)
and the search bar on the right side isnt showing up as well
and the same thing is happening with the albums section...
why is that happening and how ??

Artist and Album Panes in Organizer View of Media Sourc

When I plug in my older Zen Nomad, I see three panes in the organizer view for the player's library (select the player in the Sources pane)?-- the larger track pane to the right, full height, and an artist and album pane in the middle, split vertically. When I plug in my new Zen Vision:M, I only see the single track listing pane when I select the player (or select the Music folder). The artist and album panes are missing. I can't find any way to make them visible. How do I do that?Thanks much,Paul?

Right now, I have have everything installed on my PC?(MediaSource, both plug-ins, and the NOMAD driver). Obviously both devices have their firmware installed. ;-)? Everything is working, except for the inability to browse the Vision:M as a "music library." I had previously updated the NOMAD's firmware to the latest?..0, and I haven't changed it for all this. The Vision:M was already running the latest PlaysForSure?.20.02 firmware when I received it, so I didn't touch that. For the uninstall/reinstall discussed above, I was only changing software on my PC. I'm using MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38. The NOMAD plug-in is the Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox Plugin 5.00.22. The NOMAD driver is the Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver 2.0.00. The Vision:M plug-in is the Creative PlaysForSure Devices Plugin 5.00.36. I tried software both from the Vision:M CD (which installed that horrible web based organizer), and from the downloads section of Creative's support web site (which is what I have installed now). Looking at the compatibility notes for all the software, it doesn't look like I can go back to the older MediaSource 3.30.2 I was using with the NOMAD?and use any available?Vision:M plug-in with it, so I didn't try rolling MediaSource back. It seems from my testing that the PlaysForSure?plug-in/drivers for the Vision:M do not present the device to MediaSource as something that is a "music library" and therefore MediaSource does not browse it with the same interface as it does the NOMAD. As I mentioned, it's already become pretty silly to try and browse just the 20 albums I've loaded so far, when all I can do is navigate to the Music folder and see a list of all the individual tracks. I can't even find a way to browse a list of albums or artists -- all I can do is sort by those columns which has very limited usability. Any ideas or tips appreciated. I'm guessing most people use some other software for managing their Vision:M libraries. What do they use? I had gotten used to MediaSource with the NOMAD and was hoping I could still use it for both. Remove podcasts from Artist and Album list

It makes it difficult to select a particular artist if the large number of podcasts that are subscribed appear in the Artist and Album list. The way files are organized in iTunes this is not a problem- but in iPod it is a hassle. Is it possible to remove podcasts appearing in the Artist and Album list in iPod?

NO... I'm having the same issues and a quick search of the web reveals that Podcasts in 11.1 is COMPLEATLY BROKEN!!!
I've spent two days trying to fix this issue even including deleting all of my podcasts and restoring from the App Store and nothing works!!!
