Why doesn't the download button appear on the App Store for some apps?
Hey. So, I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.4. And the download button doesn't appear on the App Store for some apps. So, I would be happy if someone could help me with this problem..
Remove the App Store app from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the App Store app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
Try the App Store again

I'm getting kernel panics each day as I shut down, the message of restarting by holding down the power button appears on the screen - it began about a month ago and. Two experiments you can try.
1. Boot in safe mode and see if you can shut down normally. All thise additions won't be running in safe mode so this test would indicate it is one of them causing the problem.
2. Uninstall all the intego VirusBarrier stuff. That's my first guess and the troublemaker. -
After clicking the download button, I received the message, 'The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store.
This is not uncommon. Not all apps are available in all stores, just as not all OSx apps are available in IOS. The reasons are many, commercial, legal, copyright, whatever but it won't change your position. If it says not available, then that is the situation.

I downloaded a web site isytd video downloader on my macbook pro, to download videos. but it didnt work , so I removed the softwear from my mac, even I removed it the download sign appears on the left top of my video screen, so I want to remove this download sign. Many apps are not completely removed if the .app file is trashed (which is what I believe you've done so far).
If you don't want to dig through the system to manually remove library files, I recommend the use of AppCleaner, which does the job for you. -

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.<br />
Do not forget to re-enable the scanning in your anti-virus software after you are finished with downloading and installing.<br />

I upgraded MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) to yosemite. I have no more access to Finder, App Store and some apps. Since I have no access to App Store I cannot download the missing parts. How can I get access to App Store?

What do you mean by having no access to those apps? Can you start up your Mac and work with it, and only some OS X apps do not work?
Anyway, what you can try is to reinstall OS X. To do this, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up and reinstall OS X. You will not lose any file. -
Why doesn't my backup drive appear in the Startup Disk selection window?
I've been using SuperDuper! to backup my Mac HD to my internal Seagate drive. The Seagate is divided into Seagate1 and Seagate2. I backup to Seagate1. When I open the Startup Disk window from Preferences, only the Mac HD icon appears, highlighted, and a Network Startup icon. Seagate1 does not appear, although I've made it bootable while using SuperDuper!
I'm not on a network, as I'm the sole user of my computer at home. I am connected to the Internet via cable, but that shouldn't be a factor, I think. I don't know why the Network icon is there but Seagate1 but Seagate1 isn't.
Is there a way to make it so the Seagate1 icon appears in the Startup Disk window? As it stands if my Mac HD goes down, I won't have access to Seagate1 to boot the computer.
Would much appreciate any advice or referral to another source that could help me.Something I learned re: partitioning w/ Disk Utility: Dave Nanian at SD! referred me to SD!'s FAQs, the 1st one dealing with my problem:

I told (email) him that the original partitions already showed APM, but I went ahead, anyway, following instr's in the FAQ. Notable in those instr's is to click on Options, which I may have overlooked originally. This time, when I clicked on Options, APM showed as the default in the window. I went ahead & proceeded, thinking, "Well, if APM is the default, why did I need to click on Options"?
So I raised the issue with Dave. Here's what he said: "Alas, no - it uses the existing scheme, which was likely MBR."
Lesson: When partitioning w/ DU, ALWAYS click on Options, even if APM is the default. I know DU directs this, but all I can think of why the original partitioning failed is that I did not do this. Any comments would be welcome. -
If i click on the download button in the purhased section nothing happens. if i go into the App store and click download on Mountain Lion there it looks like it is starting to download and opens Lauchpad but it never moves off 'waiting'.
Any help would be great.

Apple products have changed my life for the better. Apple websites?... well let's just say that I find them difficult to use. Take the App Store, for instance, having just purchased an iPad I am interested in purchasing some apps to use on it. Alas when I check out the listings on the App Store I am unable to find the apps I am interested in. First off I am unsure which category to look in...would bird identification guides be listed under sports or reference? I checked both and neither appears to contain the birdwatching guide I am interested in, iBird Pro. Is there any way to conduct a search of the App Store for a particular app? I tried typing iBird Pro into the search window and it found nothing...

Problem Solved! If you can believe this if you go to the iTunes Store and click on the Browse Apps Store link at the bottom right corner of the page you will be brought to a page displaying the various App Categories (Books, Business, Catalogs, etc). In the upper right hand corner of this page there is a search box. I had typed iBird Pro and then birdwatching into this search box and got the No Suggestions Found error message. Today I spoke with a support person at Apple and together we discovered what the problem is. The search box on this Browse App Store page DOES NOT SEARCH FOR APPS in the App Store, rather it just searches on the Apple site. To search for apps you must do so through the actual iTunes Store site.
I pointed out to the rep (a very nice lady) that in labeling the option "Browse App Store" they are leading the viewer to believe that clicking on the link actually brings you to the Apps Store Page and thus should allow you to perform an Apps Search. She allowed as to how she supposed one might think that, to which I replied that it's not exactly "intuitive" to realize that clicking Browse App Store just brings up a dummy/model but non operative site.

Why doesn't the add button appear on the contacts app
Ever since I updated my iPod to the latest version the add button has gone from my contacts list
Go to Settings>iCloud and make sure Contacts is on. Same for Calender too if yo want to add events.

Why doesn't my mail signature appear above the quoted text?
Despite checking the box "place signature above quoted text" in Mail preferences signatures, my signature continues to appear at the bottom of the reply. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I keep hoping a software update will fix this problem. Do I need to trash my preferences or trash all of my signatures and start over. OS 10.9.3
I wonder if there is a way to trash prefs without losing my mailbox settings...
I don't think so, which is why I did not try that.

My iTunes could not find either my iPhone or my iPad even though it was found by my laptop running on Windows 8.1. After some basic trouble shooting I followed all the steps to uninstall iTunes along with all its components. When I tried to once again download iTunes I was taken to the next window which said thankyou for downloading iTunes even though iTunes was neither downloaded nor installed on my laptop. How do I download and install iTunes on my laptop now?

Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
I'm so frustrated and in desperate need of help, I don't know what else to do! Certain apps such as Tumblr (I've previously had the Tumblr app on my phone) and Vine will NOT dowload on my phone. I've tried deleting all apps from both my iPhone and iTunes, I've tried restoring my phone then backing it up, I've tried downloading the app from iTunes while my phone is plugged into my computer, etc. When I search the apps in the app store they show up but the 'FREE' button is white and unclickable, it's very frustrating. When I download it from iTunes while my phone is plugged in I can watch it download, but when it's done it immediately dissapears from the screen and from my phone. When I plug my phone into iTunes it say I have the Tumblr and Vine apps, but I assure you, I do not. I have deleted and tried to add them so many times but it never works. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

I just updated my ipad2 to ios7 0.2 latest update, but when I go to apps store to upgrade I don't see the upgrade button besides each app, nor when I go in for new apps I don't see free button to download new apps. Is there any setting that missed ? please help...
What do you see instead of update on the apps you are concerned about?
When updating to iOS 7 auto update for apps will be turned on. When an app has an update available your iPad will download and install the update with no input from you. Apps that have been updated by this automatic process but which have not yet been opened will show a blue dot before their name.
A record of updated apps is kept for your convenience. You can see this record by using the App Store app and select Updates, the right most choice in the bottom row.
