Why doesn't the icon change when I go to different websites-example yahoo doens't change to the purpe circle with the y inside?
When I pull up mozilla, I have a gray circle in front of the att homepage. When I go to yahoo, this icon doesn't change to the purple circle. The gray circle remains in the address bar before any website . -possibly only unsecured websites since I see that I have a picture of a lock when I was directed to this website. This recently happened and it occurs every time I pull up the browser.
I have been going crazy trying to figure out what was wrong. I was ready to take my computer in. Thanks so much for informing me of this -now I can rest easy . have a great day. Angela

Ok, you should generally only get this when you are converting your ID to an iTS account for the first time.
Sign into iTunes with your Apple ID and you should get this.... IRC once you agree or accept it's now an iTS account and you wont get that again. -
Using previous version it always alerted when entering or leaving a secure website. After udating to 19.0 it stopped alerting. I checked the settings about:config and both entering and leaving secure sites were set as True. Tried disabling and then re-enabling but still no alerts.

How can I verify in firefox 4 if the webpage I'm on is secured? in prior versions the 'lock' sign was popping up on the statusbar in the right bottom.
I understand the reasoning behind removing this. I have worked in IT for 30 years, I like how this works in FF4. My concern, however, is that my 75 year-old parents do not, all they know is that for the last 10 years I have been telling them that if they don't see a padlock they should not enter any sensitive information. They will never click on the verification button, nor would they understand any of the information there anyway. In addition color coding the button does not help my color blind father nor my nearly-blind mother.
I have been a huge proponent of FireFox since the original beta, but I will now begin telling all of my non-technical family and friends that come to me for IT advice to use a different browser, because I have neither the time nor the patience to retrain them. -

are you sure your i-tunes is installed proper cause the icon is just a shortcut to the program.You might have some missing files. If so you may need to uninstall it and reinstall a new one.

On the iPhone, when the server rejects the email address and it sits in the outbox, why doesn't it automatically resend when the server is fixed?

The mail server worked when I originally set it up and continued to work for months afterwards.
What would make the outgoing mail server not be set up correctly after all that time?

Why my apps are not transferring from PC to iPhone 5? When I connected to PC the icon shows when I select apps it show 'will install' but it never show on iPhone, I re installed iTunes, deleted all apps and downloaded again but its not working pls help.
Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

Note that accessories that convert a VGA or HDMI signal to other video formats (DVI, Composite, Component) are not supported.

Why doesn't apple tv appear when playing video in safari?
Hi Guys:
I just bought an apple tv. I am able to use the mirroring function with no problem, and I can see the apple tv in the "Airplay" menu.
But When i play a video in safari(mirroring turned off), I can not see my apple TV in the "AirPlay" menu.
So my question is : why doesn't apple tv appear when playing video in safari?
Does the same thing happen to you guys??
btw, I just dont want to mirroring when play a video in safari, that's why i'm asking this question

Thanks!Experiencing the same issue. Everything used to just work. I'm up to date on *everything* and it's all apple devices (airport extreme, appletv, 2 macbook pro lion, iphone4s, ipad).
My gut says it's the AppleTV since it happens from both laptops that have itunes.

Shouldn´t that be automatic like it used to be in iOS6?Ok, I just realised that this only happens if the current page in iBooks has a video on it. If the page has only text and images, there is no problem.
I still think it is a bug though. If the video is not running, I don't see why the music player should be stopped. If I choose to start the video on the page, THEN the music player should be stopped. -
I used to be able to email photos from my Lightroom software 5.7 for MAC quite successfully. I needed to change my password several days ago in my gmail account. Now when I try to email photos I receive a message saying "Failed to establish connection with the outgoing email server. Please make sure you have entered the email account and password correctly."
I have been trying to get help from Adobe for 3 days. I have sent a message through "Get Support", 2 days ago, but no one has contacted me. I have tried by phone, but no one will help me. When I purchased Lightroom in May, 2014, I was able to receive phone help. I am now told that I don't qualify because I am not a Creative Cloud customer. I have been assigned a case number 186291729.
PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS PROBLEMI, too, have this problem. I see no one is responding with a solution? Hello? Can someone please advise?

I am living in moscow, but i have a mastercard in vietnam. I changed my location in itunes from Russia into Vietnam. But when I change my billing info, and write my card's informations. It said I have problems with the address. I typed my address in VN. What should I do now ????
To answer the second question first, the owners of the music (and that is not Apple) decide where their music can be sold. If they decide (for whatever reason) not to sell their music in a particular country, they will not let a music retailer (that is Apple this time) sell it in that country. So the "system" is beyond Apple's control.
As for your first post; (if I understand you correctly), the iTunes Store knows that you are in Russia, so using a credit card registered in Vietnam is simply going to look like you're trying to get round the system.
The credit card is tied to an address, and therefore to a country. Simply using a different country's address is not going to work.
By the way, this is a world-wide situation. It's not a matter of having to use a Russian card, whatever card you use has to be registered at an address in Russia.
Use the support link in the iTunes Store to contact Apple and see if you can straighten out whether you can buy songs, where ever you are and with whichever card you have. -
After installing the above mentioned update, my ipad will no longer turn on. I have just a black screen with the apple logo when I attach it to a power source. Anyone else having this problem, please advise on how to fix.
IF RESET DOESN'T WORK, FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

Yesterday, when I brought my laptop back from sleep, I tried to check my e-mail with the Mail app like I always do. But there was the lightning bolt sign next to the inbox, and the pop-up asked me to input my password, which didn't work. It says mail.mac.com has rejected my password. The password is correct (I'm able to check my e-mail through my browser at me.com), but for some reason Mail keeps on rejecting it. I usually don't have to input my password at all in Mail. Any clue how to fix this? I haven't changed anything at all on my laptop.
I did change my apple ID password though...
