Why doesn't the image show in the document window?
I am a Photoshop CS5 begI have tried to look for what button I need to click. I can see the document name in the window but there is no image showing in the window. Getting bit frustrated. Please help.

ok, i have a jpeg i want to email. i click on attach and the drop down comes up, i navigate to the image i want and highlight. at this point--always in the past up until last week--a thumbnail of the image shows up in the column to the right of the name of the image, so i can make sure i'm sending the right image. suddenly, i'm no longer seeing the image to the right. (see attached)
i fear this may be more a mac query than a PS one, but you folks are so knowledgable i thought i'd start here. any thoughts?

Since I upgraded to mountain lion, my Artisan printer stopped working. After talking to Epson and trying all kind of things, it was determined its definitely a driver problem. The PC ping the printer well but won;t print to it as it think its not connected (when it is as priven by the ping).
The new driver for Epson 50C20D are on the list of update available drivers on the OS X wen site yet trigering "Software Update" does does detect I need it... Why is that? ThanksThanks Mende1. The printer is there and installed allright. Even shows as "idle" until I try to print to it. The driver version shows 6.36 and I ned to update to 9 which is only avail from the App store... However, the app store don't detect I need it..

Why doesn't my calender show me the map location?
Hi!
I'm really excited about Mavericks. I really like the new feature of maps in the calendar. But inspite me trying all kind of different things (writing down the exact adress of my appointments, in the past and in the future), it does not show me the location in the calendar. Nor does it give me the option of putting in the route etc.
I just can't figure out why...

DavidThe last time I checked, version 1.0 or a x.0 release has never been completely bug-free or 100% from ANY company, including Apple. Bug fixes and features come with maturity, something many people lack.
If these are the kind of "innovations" you're used to seeing from Apple, you should know better than to jump on a first-release software right out of the gate.
Good grief! Apple treads waters many companies wouldn't think of until Apple does it, and everyone wants to complain if it's not 100% perfect or 100% to their standards. Meanwhile, you're all more than welcome to go to the dark side of Android and Windows for your expected timely updates of perfection. Good luck, and more power to you.
It's one thing to come here with a rational view of trying to be part of a community helping each other work on issues in a logical way. It's a lot different when you have nothing more to do than moan and complain the entire way. I, for one, can't stand cry babies, and I'm sure Apple has more to worry about than picking up your binkie.
Apple creates premium devices that are an overall pleasure to use. Overall, they've greatly reduced my stress levels. That's what we pay good money for. The last time I checked, a $250,000 Rolls Royce is an automotive luxury marvel, but they still have issues, even when they're fairly new. It's the way of life. You live with it and hope for the best no matter the product. Some are more prone to failure than others.

Why doesn't my image show up in itunes?
The image in my podcast does not show up in the iTunes Music Store. Here's the file:

Windows XPOops, I went back a second time in the Music Store
search and I saw it when I searched 'zipzeta' like
you mentioned. However when I clicked on the image
and was taken to the profile page I still had the
default Apple Itunes Podcast image with the dark
figure and purple ringed background.
I can confirm this, and I can't see why this should be. My own podcast has the same image tag as yours, and appears correctly: I can't see anything wrong with your page. Perhaps it's some sort of hiccup in the iTunes Store - it might sort itself out eventually - how long has this been the case? -

Why don't images show on the faces corkboard?
When I open FACES none of the images show. I have LOTS of pics and people assigned here. When I open any single person, the images show up. When I go to "Confirm Additional Faces" the vast majority of the images dont show there. HELP.
Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #2, Rebuild Thumbnails. It may take more than one run to do the job.

Should the folder show in the catalog?
No, by default, exporting does not cause the photo to appear in the Catalog, nor does it cause the folder to appear in the Folder Panel.
There is an option in the Export dialog box that automatically imports the exported photo into the catalog, maybe that's what you want, maybe not. I rarely see a need to have exports included in the catalog. Most people export only when needed for non-Lightroom purposes, and in that case, there's no reason to keep exports long-term, as you can always re-create the exported photo by exporting it again. -
i have an ipod touch 8gb model number MA623LL. How do I install apps on my ipod? Is it capable of transferring/running apps? Why doesn't my ipod touch have the basic-beginning app on the beginning screen after i erased/wiped my ipod and started new?
Googling shows that you have the 1G iPod. For apps you need at least iOS 2. The iG can go as far os 3.1.3 that you get here:

Just be aware that there are presently not that many apps that work with a 1G with iOS 3.1.3 -
I am using WIndows 7 64 bit, and the most recent version of Premiere Pro CC on an I7 machine with 8GB of memory. I have imported a HD .mov clip and placed it on the timeline. When I press 'Play', it shows in the Program Monitor window. When I stop the playing, the window goes blank. I have rendered the clip (it has a yellow bar above it). Even after rendering, the yellow bar remains and the sequence only displays when it is playing. The source monitor has the same behavior.
Not being able to see where I am in a clip is making editing very difficult. I have used Premiere Elements for five years, I have taken the Lynda.com course, so I have some familiarity with the program that suggests that the frame at the point of the CTI should show in the program and source monitors.
What do I need to do to be able to see the frame in the monitors when it isn't playing?
Update: I spent 35 minutes with Tushar in a technical support chat (case number: 0186148124), during which time we deleted the contents of the Media cache folder in C:/Users/Your User Account/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Common file (after using task manager to close coresync32.exe and creativecloud32.exe) and renamed both the Adobe folder and the 8.0 folder in Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/8.0. This didn't get it, but was necessary for the next step:
Going to the File menu, Project Settings, and selecting 'General Settings', Tushar had me change the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only (I don't have a GPU accelerator video card yet). I received a warning that all previews would be deleted, which I accepted. That brought the image back to the Program Monitor.
I've posted this for anyone who may experience a similar challenge in the future. Despite a lot of Google searching before I contacted Tech Support, I didn't find anything even close to the description of the problem. I hope this provides that source for future searchers.

As I mentioned in my post, Tushar correctly pointed out that, without a GPU accelerated card (which I don't have - mine is a piece of junk which I will be replacing with a compatible one soon) you must use the software only settings. I had changed my project over to the 'software only' setting, and I still had the problem. The value Tushar added was the procedure for clearing the cache.
What I did originally was a newbie error, no argument. I posted it here for others who may fall in the same hole. Your reply confirms that, without a GPU accelerated card, use the software only settings (sounds so obvious, yet I missed it.....).

Photos in iPhoto album are only a hash-marked outline the image only shows when scrolling how can I see the image and open the photo?
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I am using adobe photoshop cs6. I am facing a problem. When i save any image as "save for web". After saving image it show cropped. An image show many parts of the image after saving the image. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
Just go back in photoshop and use the Slice Select tool, then just click and select the slice and hit delete - if you're not sure which one is the active slice just right click and find the one that has the Delete Slice option.
It's possible you either added the slices by accident or if you received it from someone they just had the slices hidden. For the future, you can go to View > Show > Slices to display (or hide) slices. -

Some apps require updating when a new operating system comes out. Check with the developers of the apps you're having problems with and see if they have an update or workaround.
