Why doesn't the new flash player I downloaded work? Tried it several times. Firefox 6.0.2.

Every time I've tried to watch a youtube video in the past week it asks me to update my adobe flash player. I've tried at least 5 times over the course of several days and now I'm convinced that it isn't me. Apparently, you can't get tech support from adobe without spending money and if you ask me that sounds like a scam.
Every time I download it I've followed the instructions perfectly. I'm using Firefox 6.0.2. After downloading it and closing my browser like it asks, I click "retry" then "finish" and it opens up a new firefox window that says I'm running the new adobe flash player. I'll try to watch a video and it doesn't work. It seems like a frivolous thing to spend this much time fixing but I want to watch the OU/FSU game online next week and I'm afraid this issue won't be sorted out in time

I was having the same issue with installing Flash player 10.3.183.10 in both Firefox 6.0.2 and Explorer 9 -- the Task Manager would show the installer running as a process, but it would never actually install anything. It would just sit there until I killed it or rebooted.
It seems that there are multiple versions of the separate installers needed. The installer that worked for me in Firefox was
install_flash_player_10.exe -- a 3,017KB file
and for Explorer, it was:
install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe -- a 3,054KB file.
Neither of those files was sent by the main updater page, nor did that page offer the 239KB uninstall_flash_player.exe, which is needed to uninstall the previous Flash version before one can even begin to try to update it. I had to pound through the messages in the forums to find links to those "full" installers.
It is working now in both browsers, but jeepers creepers, it shouldn't take all day to find the installers for something that gets updated as often as Flash does.

After downloading, you need to run the installer.

If Flash Player is installed in your machine, it will give you the version number.

im with internet explorer and i have downloaded the new installation of the flash player, i try to watch video's on youtube, game's, and other things.
it just tells me to get the new flash player, i dont know why this is, can you please help me out ?

Which version of Windows have you got? XP, Vista or 7? And is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

The New Flash Player Is Downloading Flash 9.0

I have downloaded Flash Player 10.1 & the link is downloading 9.0. Why hasn't anyone fixed this problem in the link?

The answer is actually Yes & No... The new Flash Player works on FireFox. It, however does NOT work with Windows. I am not apposed to using FireFox. I just don't understand why they couldn't fix the problem with Windows.
So in summery, I will use FireFox.

Why won't the new flash player show up on my computer?

Alright, so, about a week or two ago (around when the update came out) the flash on my computer stopped working, now browser-based is fine, but anything i tried to work with without internet no longer functions, So I've tried downloading this update atleast 4 different times, and each time, it downloads completely as far as i can tell, but it doesn't show up anywhere on my computer as well as the flash files still being un openable. any help?

Oh right, i meant to include that information but i must've forgotten.
1. I'm using Windows XP, 32 bit.
2. I use the 32 bit version of a browser called Rockmelt, but like i said flash in my browser works fine.
3. Currently i have no flash player, but i've attempted multiple times to install v11.2.202.228
4. As I said, starting around the update, the flash player on my computer no longer runs or opens any flash objects or .swf files. I get no error message after installation is complete, but i can't use it.

My doubt was correct. It was all due to the blank device list. After lot of struggle I found this solution worked for me:
1. As soon as the plug-in tries to access webcam, it will show you "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
2. Click Deny then Close to close it
3. Now press tab key on keyboard. It will highlight (in yellow) and show list of devices in video device dropdown control (This could be little bit tricky and you need to put little bit more efforts to see the list). You can now select your webcam as device here.
4. Press Tab key again to go audio dropdown and select audio device.
5. Then right click and bring up "Adobe Flash Player Settings" again.
6. Under Microphone and Camera tabs, make sure we select same devices we selected in 3 & 4 above
7. Come back to privacy tab and this time chose "Allow" and then close "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
8. You should now see the camera images in the plug-in
Conclusion: This is a workaround worked for me. Plug-in is quite unstable and there is definitely something here Adobe Flash Player plug-in developers need to do about.
Hope this workaround helps many other users.

Why doesn't the new ipad apps system not work?

When I saw the new system of updating apps in ios 7.0.3 I was delighted but unfortunately it doesn't work I left at least six apps to not update but unfortunately they all updated on their own last night. So what is the point of a manual update when Apple overrides it? Now I have to delete and reinstall. We need a way of removing apps from the update list before Apple overrides it.

If you delete the apps and reinstall them directly from the App Store, you will be installing the updated apps that you just deleted.
If you delete the apps on the iPad and still have the older versions in iTunes on your computer - you can sync them back to the iPad and that will work to retrieve the older versions.
When you delete apps, you delete the data and documents associated with those apps.
Settings>iTunes & App stores>Automatic downloads>Updates>Off. Is that how you have this set up in your settings. I set my iPad this way from day one and no apps have ever been updated without me initiating the update.

I can't get the new flash player 11 to work?

I am using windows xp pro and ie. I cannot get some of the games in Gamesville to work nor is the video working. I have removed and reinstalled several times now and I have done all that I could find on the flash webpage to fix the problem and nothing has worked. HELP!!

Note that FlashPlayer works with both Internet Explorer and other browsers such as Firefox, the plugins required though are different. If you use '''I'''nternet '''E'''xplorer and Firefox you have to install both types of plugin, you possibly have so far only installed the type used by IE.

After i updated to the new flash player, i am facing problems with my flash media, such as youtube videos and flash games, youtube loads very slow and sometimes it loads sound without video. flash games doesn't load at all.

Having problems installing the new flash player

As the title say im having great problems installing the new flash player. I have downloaded it many times and tried installing each time, still nothing. Ive tried installing it offline with my computer totally disconnected from the internet, nothing. Each time i try and install it, it goes through 2 windows (one saying if i want to run it, and one asking for permission) and after they disappear, the icon also disappears strangely =S. I checked it on task manager and it is just sitting there doing nothing. Please help.

The new Flash Player won't install?

I have tried installing Flash Player XI several times. The download seems to go well and finishes. However, when I try to view video, a screen always pops up saying I need to install the new Flash Player. I have Windows 7 with IE 10. Can anyone help?
