Because the sync operation confused a lot of people, and because the code behind it was not the most reliable in the world.
So, after talking to customers, we made it simpler and more reliable by moving to a push/pull (upload/download) model.

Why is Photoshop CC 2014 nearly crash with Wacom and fix itself when I move my regular mouse?

I have Photoshop CC 2014 (completely updated through Creative Cloud). I am currently using a Wacom Intuos 3 9"X12" with the Intuos drivers all updated. Everything is updated. I am working on Windows 8, on a computer with 8 GB's of RAM. I have never had this problem before using Photoshop until just recently. Before I updated Photoshop CC 2014, I was having trouble putting in text into my files. I would go to edit or add text, and it would say that the text function was unavailable. I was pretty ticked, since I'm in school full time for animation and NEED Photoshop to work as fast as possible and this was making things harder. So, I updated. The text thing got fixed, but for some reason, whenever I use my wacom tablet to draw, it will work for a little bit (like two minutes) before it pretty much freezes my computer. It gets laggy and doesn't show anything on screen. I have waited almost two minutes before. But, whenever I move my REGULAR mouse (trackpad or USB mouse) it catches up with what just happened (including going from layer to layer if I clicked on those to get things moving). It makes it REALLY hard to work with this, and it's increased my worktime by at LEAST 45%, since I have to constantly fix this with a move of my regular mouse. During that time, I cannot click on anything with my wacom pen or use the hotkeys on the keyboard (the default ones).
It, so far, doesn't seem that Photoshop CC has it, but I cannot update to that version. I always get to 75% or something REALLY fast, and then it says there was an error. I just don't know what's going ON with my programs. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall or something? My computer is set to optimize weekly, and I've done multiple scans to make sure I don't have a virus or something. Everything in clean, and I'm not overloaded on stuff, either. I usually only have two or three programs total open, Photoshop CC 2014 included. It ends up either being Photoshop and Firefox or Photoshop, Firefox, and iTunes to listen to music. I use a second monitor, as well, to make my flow go faster.

You a have a really wonderful PhotoShop CC product. It's really great, and I know new versions such as 2014 have their teething problems.
But I am getting really sick of my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit PC being crashed whenever I try to use PhotoShop CC 2014 Sharpen / Blur Reduction and also Noise Reduction.
This happens both with JPG's and PSD's.
Please sort your **** out and get some patches out to address this quickly !!

Chris,
It doesn't crash for everyone. A person could be forgiven for saying, in return, "Please sort out your **** system problems".
Trust me when I say many, many problems are caused by the computer system setup not being up to the needs of this cutting-edge graphics software. Photoshop is heavily dependent on the GPU, and GPU drivers are notorious for having bugs (they're primarily written to run games).
However, that being said, recent driver releases from both ATI and nVidia do actually work pretty well with Photoshop CC 2014.
What video card do you have?
What display driver version are you running?
If you're unsure how to tell these things, go into Photoshop, choose Help - System Info, copy the data, and post it here.

Why is Photoshop CC 2014 condensing my fonts?

I have tested this with various fonts and they all appear to be condensed even though the horizontal and vertical scales are set at 100%. At a guess I would say they are about 80% condensed. If I type directly into photoshop and copy it into illustrator it keeps the condensed visual attributes even though the panel in illustrator says 100% on both horizontal and vertical scales. If I then type out the same text directly in illustrator it is fine and how it should be. Has anyone else had this problem and more to the point has anyone managed to come up with the solution which isn't a work around, surely this should be working as it wouldn't be good if jobs were going off to print without people noticing it?
PS I am running a Mac Pro (Early 2009) with OS X Yosemite and Adobe Photoshop CC 2014.2.1

Hi c.pfaffenbichler, thank you for your response but unfortunately this happens no matter what PAR I use, please see below screenshot that shows e.g. of this: The text at the top is set in photoshop and the text at the bottom is the exact same font (arial regular) at the exact same size only imported from illustrator. It seems to be a definite glitch within Photosop to me as this doesn't happen in any other programs.

HT1414 Why doesn't my iphone sync automaticly?

Not sure I understand what you mean, but assuming you are syncing with iTunes via usb and you want iTunes to automatically sync you phone when you connect it, go to iTunes Preferences, on the Devices tab make sure you have not check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Automatic syncing has nothing to do with updating apps; it's initiated by connecting your phone to your computer and opening iTunes.

Je souhaites passer mes BMP assez anciens pour les convertir en Jpg
Je voudrais le faire sur 2000 photos donc en tache automatique, mais je n'arrives pas à bien faire ma description de tache
1) Je charge un bmp avant d'enregistrer ma tache
2) je mets enregistrer sous ==> jpg la je le fais réellement et choisi 100% et le répertoire c:\bbb (bien que ma tache soit déjà paramétrée de c:\aaa vers c:\bbb)
3) j' arrête l'enregistrement ! et je ferme ce bmp.
4) je lance la tache automatique.
Ors à l'exécution, parfois il me poses des questions ?? et le jpeg parait bien petit par rapport a l'image jpeg de mon test ?? (ici 4.215 Ko)
(en effet j'avais pris une photo de mon nikon 4512 * 3008 taille 300pp taille du fichier 7.200 Ko)
Donc deux questions,
A ==> comment avoir un jpeg le moins compressé possible,
B ==> que me conseillez vous (option progressive x passes etc ...)

Crashing seems to be related to GuideGuide extension. Since I turned it off, crashing stopped. Maybe someone will find this useful.

WHY DOESNT Photoshop CC show in my applications folder?

I have PURCHASED the whole CC suite and I have downloaded a few appa such as Bridge, illustrator and Photoshop. Illustrator and Bridge shows up in my applications folder and I can drag the icon onto my dock to launch, but photoshop is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND in my applications folder or anywhere on my laptop. Please help!

Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and try again. For anything beyond that you would have to provide much more info about your system and what exactly you do.

Are you signing out each time you quit? Normally you should just stay signed in. This "sign in" is basically the same thing as what we used to call "activation". When you sign out of Photoshop or Creative Cloud, you are deactivating the products. The products will only run while activated.
If you are not signing out, are you doing any sort of system cleaning, or maybe such cleaning happens automatically while rebooting your computer (possibly because you are on a company network)? If so, this cleaning is also removing the files that track your sign in/activation and they need to be recreated. It's like a cookie on a web page that prevents you from having to log on each time. If the cookie is removed, you have to sign in again.

Why can't I download Photoshop CC(2014) to my Mac Pro desktop running OSX 10.9.3. My Creative Cloud app shows updates for all apps that I have as CS6 on my desktop but I have only subscribed to Photoshop CC. Lightroom shows Install but it is installed. Trying to Install Photoshop CC(2014) results in and error message "Installation failed Errors encountered during installation.(7) more information.

I also cannot directly download from my account on the web. This has been going on for a week or more and I have tried numerous suggestions on the forums but got nowhere. I uninstalled Creative Cloud app today but could not find the installer again so I assume that was deleted. I cannot download that now as on Adobe's site it says we are experiencing problems. Aren't we all.
I was happy with CC until last week but now cannot recommend it.
I also have a Macbook Pro retina and Photoshop CC(2014) downloaded no problem on that.
