Why don't any of my gallery images show as hero?

For the life of me I can't work out why none of my images on my gallery page show up in the lightbox. I just get a blank space where the image is supposed to be in both preview mode and when I preview site in browser. All my thumbnails are loaded in there and do show as thumbnails but it's only when I actually click on one of the thumbanils that the hero image will show in preview or browser.
I can't find any help in the web at all for this.

I'm new to Muse and having this same problem. The gallery previews fine and exports to html but when it is loaded up to my server only the thumbnails appear. Frustrating.
I've been using the Thumbnails slideshow widget. When I load images in the large preview it automatically populates the thumbnails so their doesn't seem to be any point in doing the suggestion from Sachin. In fact when I try that it only loads everything twice.

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

Why doesn't a body tag background image show up in a browser?

I've set a gif image to repeat as a background in my body tag and I can't get it to preview in a browser. I see the background fine when doing a live view in DW. I've tryed other images and none will preview in a browser. I've tryed to trouble shoot everything I can think of why this is not working and at this point I'm dumb-founded. Any help here would be most appreciated, I'm swamped with work and I really need to get this file off for client approval. Thanks in advance for any response - Vanessa

Why don't some of the music artists show in my music list

I have converted and downloaded some of my CDs to ITunes and my Ipod. This works, except on a few compilation CDs with multiple artists. On these, the album, song titles, and artists' names show up in ITunes, but the individual artists' names are not listed on my IPod, though I can get to the music via the album or song title (which are listed).
I checked, and the artists' names are associated with each music file.
Any thoughts as to why, and how I can fix this?

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Why don't all my iTunes Library songs show up in my music folder

I have a lot of music in iTunes (16,000 plus songs) and they are stored on a LaCie external hard drive. Just recently I discovered that when I click on the file folder where all the music is stored, only files starting with A through B are listed. I can play anything in iTunes ~ nothing is missing, but the list of music when looking at the file with Windows Explorer is incomplete.
The reason this is of concern is because I am trying to back-up my music to DVDs (just for safe keeping in case of a hard drive crash). I have tried to do this several different ways, but nothing has worked. I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that maybe the directory of this large folder holding all my music files is incomplete or corrupted. If I run the Windows Back-up program on the folder, it acts as if only the A - B files are there and only creates a back-up of them. I know the rest exists because I can play them from iTunes. We are talking over 55 gigs of files that are not listed.
I am trying to back-up my library, but I think there is an underlying problem that is causing whatever method I try to fail. Is there anyone out there who can explain what is going on?
My question is two fold:
Why doesn't the list of songs in iTunes match the contents of my music folder?
How can I creat backup DVD's of 60 gigs of music?

Is that not a way to relocate the files? In other words, I have 16,000 plus songs in iTunes and they are all playable. They must be on my external hard drive in the file I have named "Art's Music" (verified by the check you suggested in your first reply). Let's assume that I want to put them all on a different external hard drive (my C drive is not big enough). What steps should I use to relocate my entire library? The plan I had in mind was something I found at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301748

I am going to borrow a friend's unused hard drive for this and then put it back on my hard drve after I reformat it.

Why don't my Lightroom 4 DNG files show up correctly in Picasa 3.9?

Although I have really learned to love Lightroom I still like the elegant, quick and simple Picasa for certain tasks -- uploading photos to my Google web albums, setting screensaver and desktop photos, etc. But I think that Lightroom 4 made some changes to the dng format which means that when Picasa imports the files into its database the dng files (not the accompanying jpg) come in squished and banded. Does anyone else find this problem? Is it something that Lightroom can fix or can they communicate with Picasa to solve it?
I know that given Lightroom's power and fantastic ability to "develope" photos, it might seem unnecessary to use Picasa and I do admit that I don't use Picasa frequently, but still it does have its uses and I would like to see the two programs play nice together. I am using Windows 64 bit, Lightroom 4 and Picasa 3.9 and phy camera is a Nikon D3100.

When you convert a raw file to DNG there are some options such as adding fast load data (prolly want to turn that off for compatibility reasons) as well as Lossy Compression (you don't say whether or not you have selected that option). For Picasa to be able to access your DNGs, the odds are you'll have to make sure you select an older DNG spec such as 1.3 instead of the current DNG 1.4 spec used in LR4. Other than that, you may need to wait till Picasa updates their software to deal with the new DNG spec.

My gallery image shows its missing once up on the site?

See photo attached. Testing through muse works fine also viewing in the browser through muse is fine as well. But, when its uploaded to the site it acts like this.
So, after uploading it several times with the same results I deleted the image and uploaded it again. Then multiple photos were acting like they were missing.
Is this a bug or whats going on???

I ended up rebuilding the whole dang thing from scratch and it still does the same exact thing with the same image. All other ways of viewing it works fine, only fails when uploaded. I have also resaved the image and still the same thing???? Going to rebuild without that image now and see what happens.

Why don't the pictures for my contacts show up in mail?

So I was tweaking my mail settings a bit and noticed I could set the application (using my iMac mail here), to display the pictures of senders. It does this for a few of the emails but only a few. I have gone into my contacts (address book) and verified that a particular sender does indeed have a picture associated with them in the address book. But for some reason it will NOT display said picture next to their email in the preview payne. I would like to see the pictures as it would help me to more easlily notice when a particular email comes in.
Again it works for a very few emails. I have alos verified that the email adress for the sender is tied to their card in the address book. Another possibly important fact, most of the pictures are being pulled from peoples facebook pics as I have address book set to sync those two. I dont believe that is the cause of the problem as one of the few that actually IS showing a picture has a picture from the senders FB profile pic.
Any ideas?

Connect your iPhone to you computer with the iPhone's USB connector. If iTunes doesn't sutomatically launch, open iTunes.
In the left hand column of the iTunes window, under Devices, your iphone should be listed. Click on it, and a Summary Window on about your iPhone will appear.
Just below the Apple at the top center of the iTunes window you'll see "Summary, Info, Apps, Tones, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Photos". Click on Info. You'll see options to check like Sync Contacts, Calendars, Mail, Other, and Advanced. Check the options you want to sync. Do the same for Tones, Music, Movies, TV Shows, and Photos.
Then Click on the Summary button. Under the Backup heading, make sure Backup to iCloud is checked. Then you might have to click the Sync button in the bottom right corner of the iTunes Window (not sure about this last one).

I have set up a group in Contacts for 23 people. When I go into my email and try to send the group an email, some of the addresses are missing when I type in the Group name in the To field. How do I fix this? I need to send regular emails to this group of 23 people.

Why don't my Facebook friends' contact photos show up in Mail?

I have my Facebook account integrated with Mountain Lion, which is working great, including the synchronizing of contact photos. When I open my contacts in the Contacts app, their Facebook profile picture appears in their contact card, which is great. But in Mail, they never show up. I can click on the contact in Mail and click "Show Contact Card" and I can see their Facebook profile picture with the little "f" icon in the corner. But it won't show up in the message, or in the list of messages. Instead it just shows the default "grey silhouette man" picture. Is there something special that I have to do to show my Facebook photos in Mail?

Why don't images show on the faces corkboard?

When I open FACES none of the images show. I have LOTS of pics and people assigned here. When I open any single person, the images show up. When I go to "Confirm Additional Faces" the vast majority of the images dont show there. HELP.

Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #2, Rebuild Thumbnails. It may take more than one run to do the job.

Web Gallery Images Don't Show Up On Web

I am very new to Lightroom, but have been using Dreamweaver and Photoshop for quite a while now. I took about 10 pictures that I wanted to be on a test web gallery, brought them into Lightroom as their own collection, selected them all and went to the Web tab at the top, HTML Gallery was selected by default and I left everything else at the defualt, just to see what I could get working. I then went to Export, and it export to a folder called 'gallery' on my desktop. I then went to the 'gallery' folder on my desktop, and inside there was a file called 'index.html'. I opened it, and the gallery loaded perfectly with all of the images showing.
Then, I selected the gallery folder and opened my FTP client, and uploaded the entire folder to my web server, whose domain is, let's say, test.com. I then went to test.com/gallery, and the gallery loaded but without any of the pictures. The outlines of the cells are fine, the defualt text all came up, but in every cell where an image should be, there is a little image missing icon in the top-left corner. This is the same in all browsers, and I have tried using the different kinds of galleries (Flash, etc.) but they all have the same sort of problem. The flash gallery specifically just says 'Loading' and hangs there, even though when running off of my desktop it works just fine.
In addition, I have tried configuring Lightroom's built-in FTP uploader to upload directly instead of exporting and then uploading, but that had the same results.
I have attached a picture which will show the difference between when it is on my desktop and when it is on the web.
Is there something I'm missing? Is there a file I'm supposed to rename for when it goes onto the web? I made sure that none of the folders I had the pictures in, none of the collections, and none of the names of the pictures themselves had spaces or punctuation so that it wouldn't mess up any coding that Lightroom would try to automate. I'm not familiar with the Lightroom settings and would really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

Well, I re-read what was said in that forum and made those changes. I'm not quite sure what the SDK was for in this case, I just went to the folder, right clicked, and opened the files I needed to edit with Notepad. Then I edited, saved, re-opened Lightroom, re-exported, re-uploaded, and...drumroll...it worked perfectly.
Thank you all very much for your help. I had been using the Trial version of Lightroom, but after reviewing all of the other features and, finally, getting the web gallery feature to work just fine, I think I'm going to purchase it!
I'm going to send in a feature request through the little option on the side of this Forum page, and request that either those options be used by default (I just had my friend upload them to his Unix server and it worked fine on his), or that there should be an option to choose what type of server you're using. I don't think a user should have to edit program files, especially for something so simplistic. Thanks again.
