Why don't Audiobooks appear in a New Playlist on iPod?

Hi!
When I make a New, very basic playlist in iTunes (as I have many times) I know I can put anything I want in that playlist and iTunes will play it. The problem is that once I create a list and place actual Audiobooks in it, those Audiobooks do not show up in the playlist once my iPod is synced.
I ask this because I use my iPod in my car and while my car's display does a good job of showing options (artist, song, album, genre, etc.) it won't show Audiobooks as an option, so I figured that I'd just make my own playlist and put whatever I want to get to easily right inside of it. Apparently, my iPod doesn't see that I've done that or iTunes doesn't want me to do that.
Any ideas?

Some time ago there were changes in the way iTunes worked that effectively exclude mixed content from playlists when synced to a device. You can still use a playlist to select which books go onto the device, but you make the selection from the Books tab, and the books will only show up in the audiobooks section, not within the playlists menu.

When I edit a contact's email address and then type the name in the Mail App, I see both the new and old address. Why don't I see only the new email address?

When I edit an email address in the Contacts App, and the type the Contact's name in the Mail App, I get both the old and new contacts. Why don't I get only the updated email address?

Mail remembers previously used email addresses for a period of time. Those you no longer use will eventually disappear. After you have sent one or two emails to the new address the old address will move below the new one. Then after a period of time not sending to the old address it will disappear. Patience is the key.

Add new playlist to iPod

I added a new playlist to my iTunes but this has not been picked up when I synced my iPod. What do I need to do? In the past a new playlist was always picked up. I might be having a senior moment and have forgotten something. Thanks.

I figured this out by looking through some other responses to the new iTunes update.
Sorry for the wasted post.
While in iTunes I went to the VIEW menu and selected 'Show Column Bar' and now the format looks similar to the older version. This time the drag and drop worked in the side column.

Why don't songs appear on iPod?

I click and drag songs from itunes window into iPod window on my Mac. Then when I'm done and disconnect, they do NOT appear on the iPod, it's blank. Any ideas? I am running iTunes 7, Mac 10.3.9, with a brand new iPod, purchased Oct 11, 2006.

Dragging songs only works if you have selected to manually manage songs and videos? Have you?
Connect the iPod to the computer. When the iPod appears in iTunes, select it under Source (on the left) and click the summary tab. Make sure manually manage songs and videos is checked. Click Apply. Do not go and change any settings in the other tabs (for what is synced to the iPod), because doing so will enable automatic updating again.
When you drag the songs to the iPod, is iTunes showing that it is adding them (not just Updating iPod, but does it actually show the song names or 1 out of 10, for example)?
Are you adding all types of songs (from CDs), videos, purchased content, or what?

Why are my options to create a new version for ipod or iphone don't work?

I've just downloaded the digital copy of the little mermaid & in the end, it didn't wnt to sync, so I searched a little on how I can make it work.
It was mostly the same answer that I found everywhere:
select the File menu > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV version. Once the media has been converted, sync the iPad version to the iPad.
But the thing is, I tried & my options when I click on create new version, they all stay gray, why? It is so frustrating

Select all the tracks of the album and *Get Info*. On the Info tab fill in the *Album Artist* e.g. as "Various Artists" or on the Options tab set *Part of a compilation* to Yes. Ideally (see link below) do both. If iTunes is organising your tracks then those set as compilations will end up in the Compilations folder, otherwise *Album Artist* overrides Artist.
You can edit these properties before you rip a CD (1), or for existing files (2 & 3).
For further details see Grouping Tracks Into Albums. Although aimed at linking things within iTunes/iDevices if you fix all the potential problems described therein it will also do most if not all of the work required to tidy up the folders in Explorer/Finder. Windows users may find that iTunes fails to move artwork files created by Windows Media Player for which I have written a script called CleanDeadArt.

Why don't names appear when receiving calls?

I've got a 8120 from O2 UK. When receiveing a call from someone stored in the phone's memory, their name almost never appears on-screen. However, bizarrely sometimes the names do appear. This has been the case since owning it.
O2 are not much help. They suggested doing two things (both have not solved it):
1. Remove the battery while the phone is on. Wipe the SIM. Put it all back together again. This worked but for only about 10 mins i.e. for about 10 mins after putting it back together, names showed up on the screen for incoming calls (tested with my home line, alternative mobile number, got some friends to call me, etc.).
2. SIM-swap. I now have the new SIM card and the problem hasn't gone away.
All my numbers are stored on the phone. Nothing is typed in manually. Everything syncs with Outlook using Bluetooth.
Can anyone help?

okay, this is actually a common problem. from your main screen select the blackberry key (next to track ball)->options->security->general settings->include address book->no->reset phone->problem should be fixed!

Why don't devices appear in iTunes after last update?

I recently updated to the latest version of iTunes (10.7.0.21) and I don't see any of my devices in the sidebar even when plugged into the USB. I tried performing a repair and still nothing. My PC indicates device drivers installed when I first plug in but still nothng. I can access the store, request help and authorize without a problem.

I followed all the steps and it still not recognizes my iPad.
I had to recover my iPhone to have it recognized by iTunes on Wi-Fi.
Do I have to do the same with my iPad ??! It's a nonsense for me and a real waste of time !
Things are going worst (since 2 or 3 years now) each time a new version of iOS and/or iTunes and/or OS X is released.
Come on Apple... Wi-Fi syncing worked perfectly before iOS 8 and iTunes 11 or 12.

Why don't invoices appear in F-44 for clearing?

Hi all. I have a problem where some invoices entered through MIRO do not appear in F-44 for clearing.
I have investigated and:
The invoices have been properly and fully matched against goods receipts for the relevant PO.
There is no payment block or lock on them.
They appear in FBL1N for the correct Vendor as open items.
They are overdue for payment
There is no block on the Vendor in Vendor Master Data
Other open debit and credit items for the same Vendor do appear in F-44
All of the information in the invoices appears to be correct and they posted without a problem when created.
The correct information e.g. currency etc is entered in the F-44 selection screen
The invoices do not have any special GL or other setting that appears in that list
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Check some table fields in the missing documents using Transaction SE16. The following conditions must exist:
BSIS-XOPVW = X (Indicator: Open item management, only for G/L accounts)
BSEG-XOPVW = X (Indicator: Open item management)
BSEG-AUGBL = space (clearing document number)
BSEG-DISBN = space (discount document number)
BKPF-BSTAT = space (document status)
BKPF-XSTOV = space (indicator reversal flag)
REGUS/REGUP -> see below
Should one or more conditions exist, items would not appear in F-44.

Why don't the photos display in new library on external drive?

Power Bk 10.5.8, iPhoto 5.0.4: Because of its size, I created a new iPhoto library on an external drive. iPhoto does see the drive and generates all the names of the albums but no images. All of the pictures are indicated by a generic gray box. Double clicking on the gray image icon does open it for editing in Photoshop or iPhoto. What do ya think? Thanks for any ideas!

When you launch Photoshop and choose File > Open... and open a file, can you supply a full screenshot so we can see what you are looking at?
If there is an error message please include it, and open the Layers panel when you take the screenshot.

Websites look narrow, why don't they appear to take up the full screen width?

It seems to me that in the last few days the appearance of some websites has change. When reading nytimes.com or other sites, the webpage does not take up the full width of the screen. There are vertical spaces on both sides. Therefore, the webpage and the text on it looks smaller than it did before and it is hard to read. This change may have happened shortly after I changed to Firefox4 from an earlier version. Is there a way I can change the settings to resume the previous appearance of the webpages taking up the full width of my screen? Thanks!

HT2486 why don't addresses appear when emailing group?

I am trying to send an email to a group I created in Address Book. I "right clicked" on the group and selected Send Email to "Group", whereupon the blank email message appears with nothing in the To: window. If I type the name in the window, it disappears when I hit Tab or Enter.
The group appears under iCloud in my Address Book.

Curious
When I do what you do, the contacts in the group propogate the Send To field, as I'm assuming they are susposed to do.
Check Mail Preferences
Under the Composing tab, there is a box for "When sending to a group, show all member addresses"...
is this checked?

Why don't my songs in the Library match my IPod Library?

It is set for "auto updates" to my IPod, however 6 songs are missing. Why????

do the songs have album names? the new ipod (video playback) does not allow you view songs without album names, which i personally find annoying. my guess is that they appear missing since they are not displayed.

You need to buy an iPhone to call people, or use FaceTime.
