Why don't books download completely?

I have purchased 2 books from the iTunes store and both downloads were incomplete. I was missing chapters and pictures. Both books are popular (Steve Jobs and Thinking, Fast and Slow) so they aren't obscure. People must be downloading them all the time. All iTunes support has told me is they will refund my money but won' tell me why it is happening and how to fix it. Why am I getting incomplete downloads?

Why don't my downloads on Firefox complete? They get stuck at 98%.

I used to use Firefox 13.0 on my MacBook Pro 13'' 2010 model. Everything used to work fine. Now, I have a Sager laptop with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 installed and firefox does not complete downloads on Windows 7. It works fine till it reaches about 98%, and then gets stuck. If I pause and continue the installation, the file gets corrupt. If I restart the download, the same deal happens. Till now, I have had to download using the Ubuntu partition and transfer to my windows 7 partition. This is getting annoying. I would very much appreciate a solution.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files. 
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

You will have to re-download corrupted files.

How can I view (and cancel) downloads that are waiting to begin? Why don't pending downloads appear on the downloads list (marked as "Pending" or "Waiting for other downloads to complete" or ...) ? In general, Firefox is a great browser. Thanks!

I'm using Firefox 7.0.1 and Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2).

Can you try the following for me.
Run the microsoft fix it and have it uninstall AIR
Delete the folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe AIR (this might also be in Program Files(x86))
Delete the folder: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
Delete the folder: C:\Users\chris\AppData\Local\Adobe\AIR
Install AIR 3.2 by itself, from: http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/win/download/3.2/AdobeAIRInstaller.exe
Install Adobe Community Help from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/chc/air/350/AdobeHelp.air
Does the AdobeHelp.air file install if you double click it?

Why don't additional downloaded lens profiles show up in LR5?

Hi everyone! My name is Kai and this is my first post here. Normaly I find an answer to all my questions by reading already existing discussions. But this time I wasn't lucky...
Hopefully this is not a stupid question.
I downloaded lens profiles for the Rokinon 7.5 fisheye and created a folder named "Rokinon" in "Rsources", "LensProfiles", "1.0" (MAC OS) to put them in, but they don't show up in LR5 and I can't use them. What's wrong?

The correct location to place downloaded Lens profiles on a Mac is:
Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / LensProfiles /

Why wont adobe flashplayer13 download completely?

I have purchased a load of songs from itunes as i got my iphone a few days ago and it has taken the money for the songs but only 3 songs have downloaded and there are a quite a few albums still to go. When i go on downloads it says 'waiting' and this status hasnt changed for a few hours.. How do i get the songs to download??

You may want to see if the "Manually Manage" option has been checked (it may have been automatically set to this if you updated iTunes to work with your new iPhone); you may find the following article helpful:

Just changed to Lion - why don't my downloads now appear on my desktop?

Not a very savvy user here, so could use some help please.
Moved to Lion on my iMac.
Now when I download a new program it doesn't show on my desktop so that I can open and install it - have to go looking for it.
How can I make it appear on the desk top after downloading . Today it was adobe reader

Downloads are in your Downloads folder for your protection, so you know they are Downloads as it's possible to become a victim of a driveby download attack, or click a trick link.
It's best to not change this and keep the Downloads folder clear and not click on anything that appears in there unless your sure.
Mac's are increasingly being the target of trojan installs and driveby downloads taking advantage of persons like yourself that are doing what your doing.

I buy a TVShows and download it on my hard drive (PC) with iTunes 11.1.1.11
But by error I delete some episodes. So what I need to do to download them again.

First time its write "Download".
Second time its write "Downloaded" and we can't download again.

These books should still be on your computer. If you haven’t done so, open the App Store app, click Updates, and download the iBooks 1.0.1 update. Launch iBooks, then choose File > Move Books from iTunes. This should move the remaining books to iBooks.

Suddenly i do not get the "download complete" popup at the bottom of my screen when i download anything..also,download "box" at top left changed..why?

up until yesterday,every time i would download anything,i would get a "popup" at the bottom right side of my screen saying "download complete"...now i don't see that..also,when i click on my downloads option in my "tools" at the top right,the box that appears has changed in how it looks..it still shows my downloads,but the appearance of the box has changed..neither of these issues is any "biggie"..lol..nothing to fret over..but i would just like to know why this has happened suddenly if i made no changes to my firefox..anyone????

i tried to re download a purchased audio book after i contacted apple support team for iTunes they said it would be ready for re download or they said id have to re download it from iTunes store i cant remember, so i tried both couldn't re download it from purchased menu and the book id have to re download from iTunes store costs money as if i have never purchased what do i do? I don't have any warranty any more or money to purchase another warranty.

I have bought 1 MacbookPor 17, 1 Macbook air, 1 MacbookPro 15 , 2 ipads, 3 iphones, and this iMac27 and 2 of iMAC24 or 20 not sure   but I do not recall ever doing what you are telling me in your reply.   When you get a extended car warranty, you don't   sign up for it.. it is just there and is included in the sale.   You don't buy this warranty to use it.. You buy it, in case something happens.   Here a perfect iMAC with minimum 100 hour useage has a dead drive. That is not normal and I should not have to even be requesting anything since most MFG offer a 3-5 year warranty on their disc drives and I believe that is probably passed on to Apple regardless if an extended warranty is purchased or not.   Customer service dictates a more flexible approach to make sure the lifetime value of a customer is not lost due to some misunderstanding.
I was in the MacStore that I purchased the unit..and they found and pulled the invoice and confirmed
the purchase of it in front of me. I had paid with credit card and fortunately it was there in their system.   I do not also recall recieving any box or paper although most everything I ever get remains sealed.. I am not in the habit of opening anything since I have never encountered any serious issues before.
   I have used my Macbookpro warranty 1 time and that is all throughout the years I have been investing in Apple equipment.
I just recieved a letter from the store asking me to get the paper to them so they can register it... I don't recall getting any paper actually. But I do have several boxes sealed here.. On this iMAC27, it was a hurry up and get it done thing and I don't remember taking anything extra with it.   Regardless, my request does not seem unreasonable.

Flash was designed for computers with cooling systems, it runs fine on my single core Atom netbook even.
The new iOS devices come with dual core Atom-like A4 netbook processors, but atlas! no Flash.
It's because Flash needs cooling and those iOS devices don't have it.
So dump the phone if the lack of Flash is such a bother, it's a overpriced, over rated phone that has little purpose that a regular phone with text messaging, a laptop, a GPS, a camera and a iPod can do so much better and cheaper as they are separate devices with more abilities.

I have the same problem transfering Address book on iMac to contacts on iPhone (old version 3G - on iCloud). this is a hard wired connection

Might you have 200 entries in On My Mac groups and some of your appointments in On My Mac calendars?
