?Why don't I get a configuration screen?

I am just following directions and have plugged HDMI cable into TV and plugged in AppleTV but the next step - configuring- just isn't happening. I turn on the TV with its remote and all I get is regular programming. What am I doing wrong?

It's the TV that needs to be set to use the required input. Generally, TV's have a number of inputs on the back for different types of connections, there will be a button on your TV remote that allows you to switch between different inputs. It may say, Input, Source, AV, A/V, Mode or some other similar phrase.
What model and # of TV do you have.

why does my imac get a black screen when turning on, and logging in is very slow.

I would first reset the SMC:
Shut down and unplug the Mac.
Keep the Mac unplugged for at least fifteen seconds.
Plug the Mac back in and do not turn it back on for at least five seconds.
Press the power button to turn the Mac back on.
Then I would reset the PRAM by rebooting the iMac while simultaneously holding the Command-Option-P-R keys until the machine restarts a second time.
Let us know if these procedures don't solve the problems.

None of the vertical pictures will import. I don't even get the black screens so can't even try the edit option that others suggest. Sounds like we all have to report it to apple to get a fix?????

I Cannot import any vertical pictures. I don't even get a black screen and therefore can't edit. After downloading from the camera the vertices pictures show with a red ! And won't import. Sounds like we all have to report this to apple ....but anyone had same issue and how can I fix, we are on trip and need to clear the camera for more photos.

We wouldn't know that. They could be in your Junk email box, or the Rescue email address that you have on your account may not be what you think it is. Just FYI - the Rescue email (where that email would be sent to) is not the same as your Primary Apple ID email.
If you are not seeing the email at your Rescue email address, contact Apple Support to get them reset:

On a Mac computer the Facetime ringtone is VERY weak, even with the volume turned up. If you have your audio level adjusted to a normal level you may not hear it. A number of people have complained about it on this Facetime for Mac forum. On my iPad the alert tones when receiving a FT call is much more robust.

Iphone won't get past configure screen

I had to restore my iphone from a backup because I got an error saying there were problems and it needed restored.
Upon restoring, the phone has gone to the "configure" screen and lets me get to the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When I connected, it synced and I can access everything through itunes, but when I eject it, the screen never goes away. I cannot get to anything on my phone because it says to connect it to iTunes.
Should I restore again, but not from my backup? I really don't want to lose all my cached info unless necessary.

What did you do to fix it? I have the some problem since the new IOS7 update. I hate Apple, that is official. Their devices are pure poo. Anyway, I need to retrieve very important data I have on the phone and the configuration tool doesn't work, neither via wi fi or when I connect to I tunes. Any help will be much appreciated. Please help, why do i keep getting the white screen of death?

ok i have a blackberry curve mobile, i dropped it in a pint of lager new years eve. i have left it to dry for months. first time i turned it on i was getting the white screen and it kept happning. so i tried updating the software and it worked fine for about 3 minutes. so i just left phone for a couple of weeks tried updating software again. last night it stayed on without turning off or having the white screen, but i get up in the morning to check my phone click it then the white screen appears again. making me very angry, because the white screen doesnt come on if i have my phone connected to USB to pc it stays on. anyone know why this is happning?

With moisture intrusion into a BB, the only thing that is predictable is that the results will be unpredictable. All of your symptoms could be perfectly understandable given the lager-bath your BB received. I'd recommend a new device ASAP (and get regular backups of your data, of course).

Why don't we get the choice to have an app or not

Why do we not get the choice wether or not to have icons for app? The YouTube, game center, and the video icons just take up space and I never use them. We should have the option wether or not to keep them. I understand that you either own the companies or have partnered with them but you should not force your customers to keep the icons on their iPad and iPhones.
Please give us the choice.
Other than that I love the iPad but now that I am using it for school, I need the space as much as possible.

You can always move them to a different screen, or, as you're on iOS 4.2, you can put them into a lesser used folder so that they are less visible.

Did you purchase the ringtone or make it yourself by taking an excerpt from a song?
If taking an excerpt from a song, it must be 30 sec or less. Once you get the 30 sec clip, you have to create an AAC version of the clip. Open the folder with the AAC version of the clip and change the file extension to .m4r I believe. Then double click the new file and it will automatically be loaded in the "tones" folder. You can then open the "tones" folder in iTunes and drag it to your iPhone which is connected to iTunes on your computer.

I understand you can't get any sound on YouTube since September 29, 2013.\
If you do a System Restore it should fix what changes took place on or before that date.
If I were to do the Restore I would take it to the 27th of September, that way you will be sure to correct the issue. Follow the link for how to options.
