WHY DON'T I HAVE MPEG-2 what can i do to get it back?
something is is very strange. after installing final cut studio 2. I no longer can export as an MPEG-2 through quicktime conversion. I have also lost it in my quicktime pro. It is on my other computer as MPEG in Final Cut 4 and quicktime pro but since I just bought a G5 2nd hand and reinstalled the operating system 10.4 from scratch hoping to use it as my main final cut editing bay. without MPEG-2 I am lost. I am not fond of compressor at all since my projects are around 3 and a half hours I like to burn my projects on a dual layer DVD.
I downloaded MPEG-2 playback component which did nothing but cost $20. I did this according to Apple care support telling me I should download that.
Please help.

The funny thing is, I recall distinctly setting up the DHCP reservation initially, but when I went to check it now, the reserved client list was empty. I have no idea how it could have become depopulated, thus opening the door for internal IP address reassignment of the Remote Desktop computer which led to the RDP ports no longer being forwarded to the right internal IP address and thus the failure of the Remote Desktop connectivity. -

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled). Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Then contact the police, giving them any location information you get.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Notify the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

After upgrading my iphone4 to iso5 the phone didn't recognize my sim card to activate it please what can i do t get it back to work. its factory unlocked. don't know why its not recognizing the sim card after upgrade
Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and run that. You may find the track there to be downloaded. If not, and you're in the US, just look under the Quick Links on the main iTunes Store page for the Purchased link. Click that and you should be able to find and re-download the track.
If it's not there, or you're not in the US, contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department from their contact page and explain the problem to them.

Yesterday I D/L'd a trial version of LR 5.6 and during installation it seemed to be copying my catalog from my LR 4.4. Now nearly all of my catalog and all my collections in LR 4 have disappeared. What has happened to them andhow do I get them back. The original photos seem to still be available in the myphotos directory on the computer, but without any of my lightroom editing.

Right now the best thing to do is be patient. The last six days many people have been reporting problems with FaceTime. The source of the problems remains unknown.

Is it possible that you have moved or renamed any of your Event clips through the Finder? If so, iMovie will not be able to find them. The solution is to move them back and change the name back to the original name.
Also, if the clips are on an external drive, make sure that drive is attached. -

Your contacts are helpd on the server, so if you sign out from your iCloud account and sign into another one they will disappear. If you sign back into the original account they will reappear.

My MacBook Pro is running very hot after lion install. Are there any hardware changes that will help? What can I do to get it back to normal?
I get the impression that most of the users on older hardware experiences similar temperature issues on Lion for a long time now. Awaiting for confirmation from the original poster.
In the meantime I'm just cautious with regards to pushing the machine to such extreme temps, since something tells me such behaviour which includes monitor flickering and the likes is nothing but abnormal for any type of use...

Along with checking to see if the documents are still there in the browser, sounds like maybe iCloud turned off on the iPad. You can check in Settings.
Go to Settings.
On the left hand side, go to iCloud and make sure it is on and the "Document & Data" are ON.
Then on the left hand side go to Pages and make sure "Use iCloud" is ON.
Do the same for Numbers and Keynote.
Maybe a long shot, but worth checking. -

Not much else you can do, but change your passwords.
IF you had find my ipod activated on the ipod BEFORE it was stolen AND it is on AND it is connected to wi-fi, THEN you may be able to find the registered address of the wi-fi router to which it is connected. -

Built-in apps cannot be deleted. However, there never was a FaceTime icon on the iPhone. FaceTime is accessed by selecting a contact in the Contacts app, and then selecting FaceTime. The same can be done from the Contacts tab in the Phone app.
