Why don't my tabs work anymore?

A few days ago my ability to add or remove tabs from my Firefox home page stopped working.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Why don't Hold keyframes work on Audio Level?

Hi -
In the past (AE6.5) I recall using Hold frames to keep the Audio Level really low until the exact frame I wanted to bring it up to 0db. Now in CS4 the Hold keyframes don't work that way. I wind up using lots of extra keyframes and sliced up layers. It's pretty messy.
For example I have a narration where I have to replace one word in the center of a sentence.
Is there a setting somewhere or, is there a new way to adjust audio levels quickly besides using key frames that someone could tell me about??
Why don't Hold keyframes work on Audio levels anymore??

In AE Preferences I have "Audio Hardware" but no mention of QT. It's currently set on "Built-in Output".
Under "Output" I have an Audio Block Duration set at 01:00.
In QT preferences there is nothing about hardware acceleration or buffer duration.
Are any of these related to what you suggest?

Why is Bluhell Firewall not working anymore?

Since one of the last updates Bluhell Firewall is not working anymore. It's installed still but not shown anymore and not working in the add ons. I reinstalled it. Didn't work. Installed a previous version of Nightly, worked again. It updated. Didn't work anymore. Please fix this.

The Nightly development channel gets checkins almost everyday and therefore a update each of those days. So that alone can make some Extensions get broken for a bit or needing to be updated.
If you enable e10s then no surprise as many Extensions not updated for the work in progress e10s does not work or work properly.
Is there a reason why you are Testing Nightly builds besides the build you have being Win64 ?.

Why don't gif animations work in Mail 3.4?

I posted this earlier today on what I thought was the 10.5 Leopard section and as it turned out, it somehow posted in the Panther OS section. Doh! I'm sorry if you saw the other post and this is the second time you have read this today.
I have read through the Mail discussions since the release of Leopard trying to figure out why gif animations do not work in Leopard Mail but they do work in Tiger Mail. I have read several explanations by several different people giving various reasons why they do not work. I have little faith in the answers I've seen to date as to why they do not work in Leopard Mail, as every now and then I get an email with an embedded gif +that does animate+ in Leopard Mail.
If I download from Leopard Mail an animated gif file to my desktop that does not animate in Mail and then open that gif in TextEdit, it animates just fine.
If I take some of the gif files that do not animate in Leopard Mail and publish to an iWeb page, they animate just fine when I visit the published page.
If I open the same email that will not animate in Mail 3.4 in my .mac/.me account using Safari, the animations animate fine in the webmail.
This one really gets me. If I forward an email that contains embedded gif files that are known to animate and that do not animate in Leopard Mail to my iPhone, +they animate just fine in iPhone Mail+. *Go figure!* Why should/would they animate in my little old iPhone 3G Mail but not my full sized Mac PowerBook, using the powerful mail application, Mail?
According to some people who have posted responses as to why Leopard Mail does not support animations, Apple does not read the Discussion posts! I have made more than one trip to the Apple Genius Bar and asked why Apple does not read the Discussions and each time the answer has been, "Apple does read the Discussions. Apple employees do not reply to them." I really do think Apple reads these posts somewhere along the line and that software changes do occur because of some of the posts.
Apple: If you are reading this, what gives with Leopard Mail and gif animations? Why the step back from gif animation in Tiger Mail to hit and miss (mostly miss) animation in Leopard Mail? Why not post an Article explaining why animations should not work/do not work in Leopard Mail?

I have used OS X Feedback on several occasions and have never heard back from Apple regarding any of my queries nor have I seen any software changes come about because of any of my queries.
Apple doesn't respond to Feedback; they get way too many to have any time for that, but their engineering staff do keep track of what comes in and evaluates suggested changes all the time. I've made a good number of suggestions and I do get replies, but that's only because I have the email addresses for those who make the decisions, and I can't give those out.
Just because you haven't seen changes doesn't mean they didn't consider your suggestions or that they aren't planning on incorporating a feature that you and others have suggested in the future. After all, the next version of OS X, Snow Leopard, isn't due until next year, and they're working on things for beyond that even now. Nothing has been finalized, so everything is open to more change after Snow Leopard.

Why don't my alerts work?

I have the data alerts set on my account but I am not being alerted at the appropriate time. I am being alerted when I am past my data limit. Why are you promoting a service that does not work? I do not want to keep paying overage charges. Then I can't even file a complaint....I am so frustrated with Verizon right now. It is never easy to get answers. I need to know why my alerts are not working.

You can set alerts at verizonwireless.com, and you can set alerts on most smartphones as well, and those can be highly customized as to when you are alerted.
Go to settings, data usage, and there are/should be options to view, limit, and alert you as to your mobile data usage on the phone itself.

Why doesn't the 'lock/protect' tab work anymore?

In Firefox 3.6.17,why don't the tab buttons work?

I've tried left and right click to gain access to new tab, but they do not work. I know they work in a later version, 4, but with version 4 I experience a lot of "freezing up".

I didn't have the plain Ask toolbar, as I have refused it whenever it was offered. However, I updated Foxit reader yesterday, and noticed it was included, but couldn't see any way to not install it with the upgrade. So when my New Tab button didn't work, and I read here that Ask was probably the problem, I went and found the Foxit Toolbar and got rid of it. That worked a treat, and my button works again. ok for the past couple of days ive used youtube enhancer its been taking me to another tab where i had to pick how i wanted to download the vid...b4 it did it all on the same page... now when it goes to the other page theres no options to choose from to click on to start the download. IE mp4 etc. so i removed it and went to reinstall it but its gone. i cant find it now. i loved this cause you could dim the lights etc. i use this on my students everyday so i really want to get this back asap. can you please tell me what you are doing to mk it stop working now and why its gone? please email me at xavier6909atyahooodottcom. its very important. thanx so much for your time. whats the next best youtube DL app that does everything the enhancer did?
