Why don't these videos display in Final Cut Pro X?

I am very new to using my iMac and to final cut pro. I can't figure out why these videos don't display video in the application. They play fine with audio in FCP and they are perfectly watchable through quicktime on the Mac. I have a screenshot, just ask if there is any other information you need to help me resolve the problem, thanks!!

Tom is correct it is a Sanyo camera whih shoots in MPEG4, I was actually unaware that fcp doesnt support this!
When i put the files into a project they just display exactly the same, the audio works but no visual to them!
I will try what yous have suggested when i get home from work this evening and hopefully the converted files will play nicely!

Why don't some video podcasts transfer to iPod classic 6thG?

This phenomenon occurs for example in the Podcast called "Beautiful Places in HD" and some NASA Podcasts. A message says that the podcast can't be played on your iPod. (6G already too old?)
I found an unsatisfactory solution to that problem by using the convert funtion. The only problem with that is that a 5 min podcast takes 20 minutes to convert with iTunes. Then everything works fine except that the file is not a podcast anymore. If I use a non Apple tool which does the job faster my iPod becomes unstable and crashes once I upload the converted file.
Can anybody please offer some advice?

Podcasts are not produced by Apple or the iTunes Store, the store simply lists Podcasts created by anyone who wishes to make Podcasts, you can make one if you wish. They are not necessarily produced with the iPod in mind, or even any MP3 player, even though they may be listed in the iTunes Store.
As you have found, conversion is not the answer. It's simply "the way things are" and I have the same issue myself with "Beautful Places in HD". Watch them on your PC and enjoy there.

Why don't these videos show up in Final Cut Pro X?

Okay so I am very new to my iMac and to using final cut pro for editing. I have been using Premiere Pro for a while so im not new to this type of software. However i cannot work out why Final Cut Pro won't show me the video to these clips. It plays the clip fine and the Audio works so i can hear it playing, Just nothing gets displayed on the icon, or in the preview screen.

Your screen shot didn't load. Not sure what you were trying to show but you need to give the exact specs of the media as they appear in the movie inspector of the QuickTime player.

Why don't my videos upload when my pictures do?

When I connect my iPhone to my laptop, my pictures upload but the videos do not. Any suggestions as to why this is?

If so, this is an import as with any other digital camera and nothing is imported automatically.
If only photos are imported and not videos, more than likely this means you are a Windows sufferer.

Why do I get long pauses in my videos with a symbol that appears to be reloading the video continuously? That doesn't make a lot of sense, but if You've had it happen to you, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.

Why don't my videos show/play on iPad 3 since iOS6?

I know there have been countless problems with iOS6 and no doubt others have had this problem, but ever since updating I can't get any videos up on my iPad 3. I click on the Videos icon on the Home screen but it just displays a black screen for a few seconds before crashing back to the Home screen again.
Absolutely no videos play: movies, music videos, TV shows, Podcasts etc. The only way I have been able to watch videos is through the new iPhone YouTube app.
Please note that I've updated my iPhone 4S to iOS6 and (so far!) have not had this problem. It just seems to affect the iPad.
If anyone knows of a solution, please let me know.

Did you try using Spotlight?
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. If the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all of the videos appear in there now.

Why don't the ratings transfer when upgrading Lightroom to a new version? I no longer can sort using ratings--which took a lot of time to create.

Why don't my videos (movies) display file names?

I have about 20 movies on my Lumia 928, but the file names don't display. The movies play fine, but it would be nice to know the names of the movies without having to play them.

I can see how having to play the movie without knowing the file name would be a hassle.
I have researched this matter & I do believe this is just a part of the design of the phone.
I have even checked with HTC http://bit.ly/14DuBW3 to see if they know of any other way to do this, but nothing yet.

Why don't photo effects transfer over to iPhoto, Dropbox, etc?

When I apply effects to my photos on the phone, none of them stick when I transfer the photo to iPhoto or Dropbox. Is there some way to "apply" the effects to bake them in/commit them?

As you have discovered iPhoto for iOS and iPhoto on your Mac are not exactly the same. Each application has its own set of features.
As far as I know there is no way to sync the captions to your Mac from your iPad. You can suggest this feature by leaving feedback to Aple here

Why Don't Getresponse Video Links Work?

Lately (it wasn't happening before) when I receive an email with a GetResponse link to a video & I click the link, I get the 404 monster. It only happens in Firefox. The links work in other browsers. Before I realized that, I contacted GetResponse for help. They told me to clear my cache and/or my cookies. I cleared my cache. I didn't want to get rid of all my cookies. So, I cleared a lot of them, but not all. The problem persists. How can I fix it? Thanks.

Why am I unable to transfer files from computer to external hard drive?

I am unable to transfer files to an exteral hard drive, as the computer is not allowing me to drag the files across to either the icon on the desktop or in Finder - I have 3 different hard drives (including an Apple time capsule) and none of these is allowing transfer. Why don't I see the " Authorize My Computer" On the iTunes menu?

I just want to rent a movie! But iTunes says You need to Authorize your computer. So like it say's Go to the Store Menu and Click Authorize my Computer............... but it's not on there!!

Even under Lion the "authorize" menu entry does appear in exactly the same place as before - at least on my MacBook Pro -that's one of the few things that is still working
Perhaps you could just select the "Help" menu and enter "authorize" in the search field. It should you take to the "authorize"-menu if it is till available.

Why don't iMessage emojis sent from my computer show up in texts?

I have been sending iMessages through my computer to friends using the emojis that the computer allows. I just realized that they are not showing up as the faces and just as the symbols. Anyone know how to fix this or if its possible?

Messages to Messages whether AIM, Jabber or iMessage will only show the messages as sent if the Buddy also has the same Fonts.
It also depends if they are using the Messages Menu > Preference > Messages pane > Incoming Overrides.
