Why dont playlists appear on iphone 5

I have updated my itunes to the latest version for windows 7 x64. My ipone 5 is running the latest version of OS but over the last week some of my playlists have now dissappeared from my iphone. The playlists are still on itunes but just dont appear on my iphone or my ipod either. I have tried changing the names and deleteing the playlist and reinstalling itunes and restoring my phone but none of this has worked. Does anyone have an idea of hopw to cure this? Does Apple have any excuses?

Voice memos not appearing in iphone playlists

Hello All,
I have about 100 voice memos recorded on my iPhone 3GS and which have successfully synched with my MacBook Pro, which i recently upgraded to Lion.
When I open up iTunes, there they all are listed in my Voice Memos playlist.
The voice memos are lists of french vocabulary and so I created themed playlists in iTunes on my mac and arranged the voice memos in the different playlists. When I open the playlists on my Mac's iTunes, they are all there.
I have synced them with my phone and the name of the playlists appears on my phone but when I open the playlists, they are empty.
I am manually selecting music and playlists to be synced.
i have checked the boxes for:
sync music
selected playlists, artists...
playlists (the specific playlists)
and in the genres topic, i have selected voice memos
i created a music playlist just now and that works fine, but not with memos.

Thanks so much for getting in touch with a suggestion.
Sadly, it doesn't work for me. I have no idea why not.
Frustratingly, when i tried it, some of the memo tracks appeared in the playist on my iPhone but not all. I have no idea why this is. All the settings etc in the "summary, info, options" tabs in iTunes are the same for the tracks which do appear and those which do not!
So annoying!
Any other ideas??

I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer

You might have setup your iTunes in such a way that you store your Media files on your External Hard Drive and if that is the situation then whenever you delete anything permanently from your iTunes on your Computer when the External Drive is connected then the Content will get deleted from your External Hard Drive. To verify the Location for the Media files which you have on iTunes do the following.
Open iTunes > Preferences> Advanced and you will see it under iTunes Media Folder Location

I replaced the "iTunes Library.itl" file and still my playlists are gone.

I am a group exercise instructor and rely heavily on my playlists. My old phone is an iphone 4s and I just bought an Iphone 6. I also have a macbook where I keep my itunes account, but I create all my playlists on my phone. Then right click on the playlist and export it, saving it to the desktop, to then import it into itunes. However, in my case, the playlists do not show up when the phone is connected to itunes. I have clicked on the little arrow and all I get is "music", "purchased", etc., but none of my playlists. I'm sure some years back I probably deleted something in my itunes library and now none of my playlists show. Please help me. I would hate to have to recreate all of my playlists. Thank you!

When downloading updates from iTunes to my iPhone my playlists appear in reverse order with least played at the top. I just want the playlist to appear in the same order as my iTunes library. This seems to have changed after downloading iCloud

my playlists appear in reverse order with the least played at the top of the list
and most played at the end on the playlist.
Therefore I cant play my favourites in the order that I like to hear them.
This all changed when I recently downloaded the iCloud application.

Is this temporary cache accessing my data when I play songs from it? As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm still able to listen to these songs even when my phone is in airplane mode and the download icon is still present next to said songs. This implies that the songs are already downloaded onto my phone even if I didn't opt to download them directly from the cloud -- they're on my phone because my phone was shuffling my library on a wifi network.

Why Gmail sent from my iPhone not appearing in iMac's Sent folder?

Hi guys,
Some time after installing iCloud - possibly the same day, I sent a message from my iPhone 3G to multiple recipients.
a) No one got it, b) my message appears as Sent in iPhone and in Gmail (on their site), and on my iMac's Gmail/Sent folder, but not in the iMac's Mail/Sent folder - which is the one I always check.
I have 2 questions: 1. how come a message appearing as Sent on Gmail's own site isn't received (there were 4 recipients) and, 2. why does it appear as Sent in some but not all Sent folders?
Would iCloud have anything to do with it?
I just sent a test message to myself from my iPhone. I got the message both on the iPhone AND iMac, but again the message does not appear in the iMac's/Mail Sent folder. Bizarre?
PS All my software is up to date, regardless of what my profile says.

Gettingonmynerves, in my honest opinion, you will be gettingabsolutelynowhere in your attemp to edit AVCHD files natively with PE using a Laptop.
Your system is seriously underpowered for the task at hand.
Most folks would recommend at least a Quad Core desktop, tuned for perfomance.
What you might try is to convert the AVCHD to traditional HDV via this link:

This may buy you some relief, but even with the convert, I think it will still be a challenge to edit these formats on a laptop.
You could also try to down convert the video via the Camera, if that feature is available. I don't have or use a High Def Camera at this time so I can't help much with the Camera possibilities.
Again it's not an issue with the laptop itself, it probably works great for it's intended use, unfortunately it is not up to the task, performance wise, for editing the ACVHD or High Def formats with PE...

What do you mean they do not match? Are the songs wrong, are the names of the playlists wrong, are they not all synced? Do you have iTunes set to sync all songs and playlists?

How did you import the photos?
Are the missing photos perhaps referenced? Then they cannot upload to iCloud.
You can check with a smart album, if you have any photos in the library, that cannot upload to iCloud.
