Why firefox needs a Flash plugin to be downloaded and installed separately ?

I have noticed that other browsers e.g. Opera, Chrome have their flash plugins already included (or somehow encompassed in the core)..
no need to manually download, install or manually update.
Just wonder why this feature isn't included also in Firefox?
Wouldn't it be more user friendly ?
Might be a further requested feature for developers...
(correction.. neither Opera has it, but Chrome does)

Chrome is actually the only browser that has a built in Flash Plugin, Firefox, Opera, IE, Safari, etc. all need the plugin (and Chrome only did it recently). while this isn't a developer forum, bundling in Flash is probably something that has been discussed, but I would assume the greater liability, security risks, etc. made it an unattractive solution.

Theyuse the Android Operating System.
Adobe stopped ALL development of Flash for Android last year. (July 2012) That includes Kindle as well as Samsung Tablets.
This is from Samsung Support (07/31/2013):
"Beginning August 15, 2012 we will use the configuration settings in the Google Play Store to limit continued access to Flash Player updates to only those devices that have Flash Player already installed. Devices that do not have Flash Player already installed are increasingly likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install it from the Google Play Store after August 15th, 2012."
And from Kindle Support (07/31/2013):
"The Amazon Silk web browser on Kindle Fire 1st Generation supports some, but not all, versions of Flash. Adobe Flash is pre-installed on a 1st Generation Kindle Fire and is disabled by default.

There are older versions of Flash Player (for Android) at that link, but there are no guarantees any of them will work.

I've read a lot about "Dolphin" for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser
I'm not an Android user (no tablet or phone) so I can't make any endorsements that would hold any credibility, but most of the Flash solutions I've read point to Dolphin as the best alternative.

I have problems with Firefox 19. Is it possible to download and install an earlier version?

When I type letters, numbers appear. The problem is occurring intermittently. I thought I had it solved when I disabled 3 add-ons that I downloaded today after updating to Firefox 19. Typing was normal for a while and then the problem returned. I was able to type this note by doing it in word, copying and pasting it into the browser message box.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

FireFox opens & Adobe Flash Plugin crashes in a WOT "automatic" download.

WOT “automatically downloads” on a separate tab every time I start FireFox. Almost every time I start FireFox the Adobe Flash Plugin crashes in the WOT automatic download and ties up my PC. The problem does not occur with Internet-Explorer which I seldom use.
1- I removed WOT and re-installed it, but it continued the same.
2- I reinstalled the Adobe Flash Plugin which I always keep up to date.
3- Please work this out.
4- Why must WOT automatically download on a separate tab every time I start FireFox? It is very annoying.

Probably because Facebook Games on the website need Flash to run, and iPads don't natively support Flash.
You may be able to find a Flahs supporting browser in the Appr Store. (Search for "flash browser"). Though support is not 100% for any of them, but maybe some of the games may work.

My current version of Chrome is having problems, too! It's so annoying. Anyone have any suggestions now? I basically can't view or download any PDFs because of this.
Does anyone else think this is a problem not only with Adobe? I would think Apple would have something to do with this? Thanks for the speedy reply. I have read so many comments about Flash being incompatible with Lion I was wondering whether to download it or not. So many sites on the Web still require flash, however, you almost don't have a choice but to download it even if it is incompatible. Have you looked through your "data" to see what '''''can''''' be moved over to the D:/ drive? Also you should consider moving the Windows TEMP files over to the D:/ drive.
Also, with WinXP it is a good idea having at least 15% of each logical drive "free" so that the Defrag service can be run; TEMP files cause the most fragmentation on the drive.

You have to download and RUN the iPhoto library upgrade - then launch iPhoto - If you had iPhoto '08 or earlier (version 7.x.x) - the upgrade is installed in the utilities folder of your Applications folder

Stores only have gift cards, and because I live in a different country to the person I want to send one to, that isn't practical. Installing itunes, seems excessive, especially as I would first have to install wine on linux, just to buy a gift for someone.
