I've seen this in "demo' units of the iphone. For obvious reasons, demo units don't have those settings so people playing with them in stores can't screw with those settings. I'd bet money you got an iphone with demo software on it...it happens from time to time, although the units are clearly labeled as such. You have two choices to fix this: 1. Take it back to where you got it & exchange for a non-demo unit(recommended), 2. Restore the phone as a "new" device(not from backup) & then re-sync your itunes content.

Take some proof of purchase if you can.

Nokia E65 auto key lock problems

I fell down my handy.If i reopened i get the message for auto key lock? i did'nt put any code there and if i try with original code 12345 it did'nt work? What can i do?

I just took a look at the manual and it it absolutely pathetic. Never in a month of Sundays did I think that such an obvious function would not be mentioned. My apologies if I came across as condescending.

Auto key lock problem

i Have purchase ASHA 308 Dual Simm mobile before 2 month ,
that are having or any setting is changed automatically key pad lock when every phon will be dialed at very quickend and not possible to open mike , loud speeker , conference, serching the any numbers
immediately goes to lock the keypad , We know the side unlock key , imediately that will goes to lock
and the message will tells "press the key unlock your phone "

kumar007in, you have to push that button for a second (rather long) while your are within a call, not before the call. Did that help?

I have 2nd gen Ipad which I recently updated to ios 6.1.2 and my auto cover lock does not work, so is the lock button, i cannot lock my ipad manually!!

I recently updated my ipad wifi only to the new ios 6.1.2 and initially I had the auto cover lock option which can be seen in the Generals tab, but then it stoped working!! Before the update, the auto cover lock worked fine. So after trying all the options, I then did a complete reset on the ipad and now its gone all together from the General tab!! I can no longer see the "auto cover lock" option.
It got really annoying when I tried to use the lock button and it wont lock the sceen!! To test whether the button was allright, I did a long press and the message came if I wanted to shut down the ipad. So the button works fine, but I cannot use it to manually lock the ipad. Now the only way to lock the ipad is to wait for 2 mins (autolock) and still I cannot wake up the Ipad using the lock button. To do that I have to use the Home Screen button
Does any one else have similar issues and any solutions pls!! Cheers

The iPad cover lock is for when you use a cover with magnets in it to lock and unlock the iPad when you close the cover or open it. Try running a refrigerator magnet along the sides of the iPad and see if that trips the iPad Cover Lock back into the settings.
That is not the same thing as the iPad Auto Lock setting which allows you to set an allotted time before the iPad goes to sleep.
You can try resetting all settings to see if the Auto Lock feature retinrs to the iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. This can be a little time consuming re-entering all of the device settings again.

N73 KEY LOCK

How do you auto key lock a N73.
I can manually lock and un-lock the key pad but I cannot find any where in the menu's to self lock the key pad after a certain amount of time. Please help

Setting general mobile data..why other people have cellular option but mine is mobile data?

Auto-Lock option

This isn't a question more of a suggestion. I just wanted to write this to see how people feel about it.
Under Settings > General > Auto-Lock
You have the options 2, 5, 10, 15 Minutes or Never.
My suggestion is this. I think it would be awesome if there were two settings.
1) Plugged in
2) Un-plugged
Reason: If it's plugged in I like to set it to never because there are awesome apps that just look good running. take weather hd for instance.
If it's unplugged I want to auto-lock rather quickly to obviously perserve battery life.
Has anyone else pondered this idea or conclusion?

I just searched the Forum for this exact same reason. I have to say I'm shocked.
This is my first Apple product in a long time, and I like it, but I have to say this is a seemingly glaring oversight from a company that prides itself on it's user experience.
Why isn't there a plugged and "on battery" power profile? I use this at my desk at work for note taking, as well as for presentations, having it time-out and go into sleep mode is VERY annoying. Yes, I know you can set it to "never" but then I'll forget for sure and kill my battery. All I can say is WOW!? for not incorporating this simple function that is included on just about every laptop/netbook I have ever used. I'll be sending Apple an e-mail suggestion to add to next system update. I hope they listen.

Whats wrong with auto lock and key lock sound?

I don't know why my iphone 4s become cant auto lock after i update to ios 6. This is so ****** me off. And other one is i dont know why my key lock sound is so loud suddenly (after updated to ios 6) . Even i set my ringer as the lowest one but it still the same. Hope Apple can fix it real soon. YES! I'm having the same problem as is my husband. It's making us NUTS! Has anyone heard why? We're also noticing that sometimes the keypad doesn't even show up when you open a text message window. And also, sometimes we can't answer calls..it won't let us slide the bar. Soooo irritating..

Our Environment is Essbase 11.1.2.2 and working on Essbase EAS and Shared Services components.One of our user tried to run the Cal Script of one Application and faced this error.

I have done some Google and found that we need to add something in Essbase.cfg file like below.

Possible Problems
Analytic Services could not lock enough blocks to perform the calculation.
Possible Solutions
Increase the number of blocks that Analytic Services can allocate for a calculation:
Set the maximum number of blocks that Analytic Services can allocate to at least 500.
If you do not have an $ARBORPATH/bin/essbase.cfg file on the server computer, create one using a text editor.
In the essbase.cfg file on the server computer, set CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH to 500.
Stop and restart Analytic Server.
Add the SET LOCKBLOCK HIGH command to the beginning of the calculation script.
Set the data cache large enough to hold all the blocks specified in the CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH setting.
Determine the block size.
Set the data catche size.
Actually in our Server Config file(essbase.cfg) we dont have below data added.
CalcLockBlockHigh 2000
CalcLockBlockDefault 200
CalcLockBlocklow 50
So my doubt is if we edit the Essbase.cfg file and add the above settings and restart the services will it work? and if so why should we change the Server config file if the problem is with one application Cal Script. Please guide me how to proceed.

Your calculation needs to hold more blocks in memory than your current set up allows.
From the docs (quoting so I don't have to write it, not to be a smarta***:
CALCLOCKBLOCK specifies the number of blocks that can be fixed at each level of the SET LOCKBLOCK HIGH | DEFAULT | LOW calculation script command.
When a block is calculated, Essbase fixes (gets addressability to) the block along with the blocks containing its children. Essbase calculates the block and then releases it along with the blocks containing its children. By default, Essbase allows up to 100 blocks to be fixed concurrently when calculating a block. This is sufficient for most database calculations. However, you may want to set a number higher than 100 if you are consolidating very large numbers of children in a formula calculation. This ensures that Essbase can fix all the required blocks when calculating a data block and that performance will not be impaired.
Example
If the essbase.cfg file contains the following settings:
CALCLOCKBLOCKHIGH 500 CALCLOCKBLOCKDEFAULT 200 CALCLOCKBLOCKLOW 50
then you can use the following SET LOCKBLOCK setting commands in a calculation script:
SET LOCKBLOCK HIGH;
means that Essbase can fix up to 500 data blocks when calculating one block.
Support doc is saying to change your config file so those settings can be made available for any calc script to use.
On a side note, if this was working previously and now isn't then it is worth investigating if this is simply due to standard growth or a recent change that has made an unexpected significant impact.

No key guard lock option in my new BB

With BlackBerry® 5.0 software the lock icon is only displayed when a passord is set, to lock the keyboard, press and hold the A/* key, and unlock by holding Play/Pause key.

E52's auto key pad lock activate criteria?

I've the auto key pad lock activated on E52 some time ago. It works whenever the phone is showing the home screen. But it does not work if the screen is away from home (for example showing Contacts, Message, Menu, etc etc). Can that be corrected (some setting somewhere?) or it's an oversight in Nokia firmware?

basically, the auto key pad will not work if there is an active application at the front... it will go into power saver mode or standby only... i havent come across any setting in the E52 yet where this can be changed.. i dont think this is a problem though..

No Auto-Lock Option on iPod Nano 6th Generation

Hey I just got a new iPOd Nano and I was looking forward to using not just as a music player but as a watch. So I got the armband and on my first day using it as a watch, it wouldn't stop turning off. I looked in settings and there wasn't an auto-lock feature/setting like there is on my iPod Touch. Does anybody knoww how to fix this and prevent it from turning off? Thanks.

It may not have that option. Since the video display (on ALL iPods) depletes the battery much more quickly than playing music does, if you were to have the video clock on display all the time, you would completely deplete the battery in only a few hours.

Same problem for me. Really a pain in the *** this bug ! Does Apple fixed it. I'm really suprised noone reports this problem and apple does not adress this.
Because of that, I cannot give it anymore to children because it hurts the view. Really a shame on the part of apple !
