Facetime has stopped recording calls unless I close it down and restart. Any solutions?
Try the standard fixes to rule out a hardware problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

FaceTime has stopped working on my MacBook Air. Whenever I try to initiate or accept a call, the screen reads "Connecting" for a few seconds, and then reads "FaceTime Failed." I called Tech Support and they were less than helpful. They said that "perhaps" I need to check for software updates. I did. I downloaded an update for OS X. I then restarted my computer. Big surprise: FaceTime still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Why has facetime stopped working?
I have been carrying on a facebook conversation with my son for almost three months and now it is not working on our Macbook Pros. Occasionally when I start up Facetime it will give me an error message of "there is an error" and it will shut down. When I right click the icon in the tray it does bring up Facetime. What is going on?

Installed Mavericks, now when put to sleep cannot open unless I totally shut down and restart.

If you're running OS X 10.8.5 or earlier, then from the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Accessibility
If the checkbox at the bottom marked
Enable access for assistive devices
is checked, uncheck it and test.
If you're running OS X 10.9 or later, select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Security & Privacy ▹ Privacy ▹ Accessibility
If any applications are listed on the right and have a checked box next to them, uncheck all the boxes and test. You may first have to click the padlock icon in the lower left corner of the window and authenticate as an administrator to unlock the settings. -

I am new to Mac. Just want to find out if your Macs always prompt you to shut down and restart. Mine happens very often sometimes, and it can be very embarrassing, especially just when you think you are almost done with what you are doing, only for you start all over again. Why can't I record calls with the iPhone? Every other mobile can! That's quite pitty ...!Nonsense. There are many places where you are not allowed to take photos or video but those functions are included. Apple assumes no responsibility for them. Apple would not be responsible for managing the recordings on the phone either. It's most likely because Apple is located in California and in THAT particular state, both parties have to be informed of the recording. Most states do not require that. If Apple were located in another state (e.g. Alaska) there would be no restriction.
All the apps that record calls store those recordings in their servers and charge you a fee. It would be preferable to have the calls stored only on the phone so no one else could access them. The iPhone has the technological capability; we have just been restricted from having this functionality without paying a 3rd party. -

Why has Siri stopped working on iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 5? I've tried the disable and reboot but continue to get the network error.
Apple has not been forthcoming on the explanation. My Siri worked on my iphone4 (not 4s) immediately after upgrading to IOS5, but I take it they have redirected the servers that used to support Siri to only work with Iphone4s.
It is one thing for apple to only bundle the improved Siri with IPhone 4S, or for them to remove Siri from the Ap store.
But it is another thing all together for apple to purchase a company, and then cease the service that many of us paid for.
Attempts to contact apple at apple store and via email have been unhelpful.

for a few weeks i have not been able to access the itunes store from the itunes on my laptop. every time i click on it it tells me it cannot access the store...not sure why. and says this: ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.
I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

I can't open my Itunes program in my laptop computer with windows 8. the message is "Itunes has stopped working. A problem causess the program to stop working properly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". I reboot the machine, Uninstall and re install the Itune program, stilll the same message pops up.
The first thing to try is System Restore to take you back to a point in time when it did work. If that is not successful, create a new user on the computer. log in with that and see if ID will start. This will tell us if the problem is in the system/program or the user account.
If it works in a new user account, see Replace Your Preferences and in addition to replacing the prefs, empty the InDesign Recovery folder that will be in the same location and the InDesign SavedData file. -
After I purchased the creative cloud, I receive an error message when trying to use premier pro cc 2014. It states "Adobe Premiere Pro 2014.2 has stopped working. A problem has caused it to stop working. Windows will close the program and notify you of a solution." When I used the trial I never received this message. Now after purchasing it I receive this error each time I open PP and am unable to use. it. Any ideas or support to fix this issue?
What does the detailed crash report say?
And have you updated your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website? (most crashes on launch are due to bugs in out of date video card drivers) -
When opening Itunes, after placing my ID and password, I'm getting a message that indicates "Itunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program and will notify you if a solution is available. But I never get a response. Can somebody help?
Same exact thing with me. And no help from apple. Just dropped nearly $600 and cannot get a decent working setup.
Apple's only suggestion was to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, and re-install... of course (the I.T. Crowd tactic).
The crash happens only on iTunes store access. -
iPhoto 5.0.4 has suddenly stopped working. It loads the photo library and then freezes. Rebuilding the library has no effect which has about 3.5MB of data. PowerBook G4 OS 10.5.8
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

You can't use iCloud to back up your photos. Photo stream only keeps photos for 30 days, and your iCloud backup would be overwritten by a new backup that doesn't contain your photos if your were to delete them from your phone and keep backing up.
