Why has my iphone synced to a ipad that isn't mine? and why are my personal imessages being sent to this ipad aswell?
Why are my messages from people going to my iphone and ipad when i only want them to go to my iphone? and how do i stop this from happening?
these are personal messages from friends and it's a family ipad

Why are my incoming texts being sent to a friends email?
I was given an iPhone 3gs about 6+ months ago by a friend, switched it over to my provider and have had no problems up until about a week ago. All of a sudden, all of my incoming texts started being sent to the friend's email address who gave me the phone, and I'm only receiving part of them. I've checked with both her service provider and mine and there is nothing that can be done by either. I know for a fact that the phone is no longer linked to the email address in any way that I can see, as the phone has been completely wiped clean and set up for me. Is there anyone who has had this type of issue or know how to fix it???
Incoming text messages as in SMS/MMS, or iMessages?
This must be for iMessages and if so, your friend needs to deactivate or unregister the iPhone for iMessage with his/her Apple ID.

Why are my text messages being sent from my e-mail?
Just recently I reset the password to my apple ID and ever since it has been sending text messages through my e-mail. I will open my text messaging app but my friends are still telling my i am texting them through my email. I tried lookinng under my measaging settings and for my icloud it had my email selected and it would not let me select my phone number.

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you are signed into your Apple ID (email address) in your iMessage settings:

To sign out of your Apple ID
1. Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.
2. Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.

Why are my subscriptions not being sent to my email?
I checked my subscription settings and I have it set to receive email immediately for threads I'm subscribed to. But I receive no emails even after checking the threads and seeing that there are replies. Any ideas why this is happening?

Since years, my wife and I are sharing one Apple computer. On this, we both have an individual user account. Each of us has an own iTunes Account and an own individual media library. Each of us is using an own individual iPhone, which we frequently update with our iTunes Accounts. We have had this setup for years. It was convenient, reliable and user friendly, since we both could download what we wanted, create playlists, etc. without impact on the other. Exactly this convenience has made me and my wife real Apple fans, so that we also wanted to convince our daughter to move from Android and PC to our easier Apple setup.
Since a few weeks, this setup does not work anymore. From Apple Support (online chat on Apple.at) I was not told that this is not supported any more. Every computer is only allowed to be connected to one iTunes account. From one perspective (sharing music across other users as an act or media piracy, etc.) I can somehow understand this. However, since we are using different user accounts on this computer, I do not have access to other user´s iTunes media and could not play, download or copy it. So what is the point in this?
This now means, that my wife and I are only allowed to download individually purchased music with our personal iTunes accounts only with an interval of 90 days, so every on of us 2 times a year!
Was I incorrectly informed by the Apple support? If so, how can I solve the problem? Or is this really a new policy by Apple? If so, what is the reason? Am I expected to purchase a Mac for my wife, my daughter, myslef and for the three smaller kids to follow soon?Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately, if Apple simply allowed people to log into different accounts and download content, everyone would be using everyone could share everyone else's content and bypass the need to purchase anything. To protect against this, they limit you to logging into a new account to once every 90 days.
If two or more of you, have different accounts and use only one computer, you should each have your own user account on the computer, to avoid the need to log in and out of iTunes. -
My iphone4 has the correct Apple ID in the information settings section and asks me to login to my ID most of the time but when I try to update my apps, it asks me to login with an ID that isn't mine. I deleted the wrong ID from my itunes but it still won't let me login with my own ID to update apps. How do I get my iphone on the same page?
How did you obtain these apps? All apps are DRM protected & tied forever to the account used to originally obtain them. They cannot be transferred to another Apple ID(account), nor can they be updated using any Apple ID other than the one that was used to originally obtain them.

What has happened? Where is my iPhoto and why are my photos now in Photos? This *****. The whole reason I bought a Mac was the ease of iPhotos. Horrible. Bad move.
iPhotos is still in your Applications folder. The iPhoto Library is still in your /Home/Pictures/ folder.

I have purchased a new computer and authorized my iTunes with my Apple ID; however, my iPod Classic, which I have had for many years, will not sync hundreds of songs that I have purchased and says the device needs to be authorized.
I have searched high and low and there does not seem to be a way to authorize the iPod Classic. What can I do to sync my purchases to my iPod? I have tried reformatting/restoring it as suggested. It continues to only allow me to sync non-icloud/itunes content.

Are you saying when your on a phone call and someone else calls you it does what exactly? Disconnect your current call with the new call? -
I just got a brand new iPhone 4S on a contract from my local Three store. When I used the cloud restore to put the data from my old 3GS onto the device, it's prompting me for an Apple ID login with an email address (hotmail) that isn't mine! My old phone has NEVER had any Apple ID other than mine log into it, and the new one's a sealed box that I've opened and set up from scratch. Can anyone please explain this? I'm worried there's some kind of problem with my iCloud data being mixed with someone else's or something... Since I logged in with my own ID, it's downloaded the data perfectly fine, but I just got the Apple ID prompt again a moment ago with this same hotmail address in it... I'd be very grateful for any explanation!
In iTunes on your computer, select the Purchased section under STORE in the left column. Click on the first track and choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
In the "Summary" tab you'll see details of the purchaser of the track. Click Next to go through all your purchased music one by one until you find the ones you need to get rid of.
Unfortunately, there are no smart playlist rules that can filter tracks by the purchaser that I know of. -

They should be. If you have lost bookmarks try restarting Safari:
1. Press the Home button
2. Double click the Home button to bring up the "Recent Apps" tray.
3. Touch and hold on the Safari icon in the "Recent Apps" tray until a "-" appears.
4. Touch the "-" to terminate Safari.
5. Restart Safari and see if your Bookmarks are back. -

It's all set up already but just dosn't sync.... i think it's to do with the fact that a few day's ago i tried to sort out the fact that the date on my iphone was saying 2557 but on my macbook pro it was 2014 so i thought if i signed out of my icloud on my coputer and then signed back in then it would automaticly all sync but it didn't and the date still stayed the same until i was told what to do by someone on here but now i can't sync my computer and phone up...... and what you just sent me dosn't work.... any other ideas? -
Ive just done a restore on my iphone 3gs ios 5.0.1 and when it asks me to put a in my itunes password the email adress in isn't mine and when i press cancel it pops up again with a different email does anyone know why?

When I try to download all my info like notes and contacts onto a new iphone an error appears saying that it is incompatible or the backup was corrup, how do I fix this?
