Why has my iTunes account been disabled and why has support failed to reenable it?

On April 17, 2011, I discovered that my iTunes account had been disabled when I tried to update apps that I had purchased. Repeated emails to iTunes support have failed to reenable the account, and now several of my apps are unusable because I cannot get the necessary updates. I have not violated any terms of the agreement, and I have paid for all my purchases with a valid credit card. I cannot help wondering whether this issue is going to be resolved or if I am going to simply lose the money I have spent purchasing these various apps.  I purchased the apps in good faith, and I am very disappointed in the service I have received from a company I trusted. At the very least, I have been greatly inconvenienced by the company's denying me services for which I have paid.

    Have you tried to get your account re-enabled ?
    If not them you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on your iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
    If that doesn't fix it then contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    I've tried resetting privacy settings, home screen, restarting iPad and even went to settings to enable all apps but the iTunes and apps icons are greyed out and cannot be changed!     Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    iTunes probably detected the unauthorized activity on the accounts and disabled them for that reason. These forums are just for other Apple users, so no one here will have the power to re-enable your account. You should contact iTunes Support: http://apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.
