Why has my Post been archived?

Why has my Topic in Airport Extreme, "Can't add printers while in WiFi/Airport", been archived? I am sooo confused. {;->

It's been an ongoing policy that old posts are archived off the system, not least because the likelihood of the post being found and responded to decreases over time.
There is nothing to prevent any poster, including the person who originated the thread, from adding to it to bump it back to the top if it requires further attention, or to post again of course.

    no i did not violate the TOU ... i just posted this issue to warn other people about it. It is a legit issue, no complaining or insults to Apple or anyone else.

    What account are you referring to? If you're asking about a Hotmail, Live or MSN account, which is the support article you came from, you'll need to contact the relevant service and take up the issue with them. If you're referring to an iTunes Store account, see this support article:

    Why has this update been installed without my knowledge?  Why wasn't I given the opportunity to refuse the update?  Isn't this update meant to stop this unauthorised access to my computer?  Has this given back door access for ASIO, NSC, MI6 to my computer?

    So what  are your preferences set as regarding updates?
    And, are you running ML as shown in your profile?
    And, I downloaded and installed this update because there was a possible security issue; however, I have all automatic software update checks and downloads turned off, so i downloaded it manually as it was critical to install it as long as you are using the internet.
    Has this given back door access for ASIO, NSC, MI6 to my computer?
    Why would you suspect that?

    it was moved as you have a problem with your package getting activated whereas this board is for customers who already have their broadband activated and are having problems with their conenction

    I bought my MacBook maybe 6 years ago and recently it has been freezing up a lot.  It has never really been a problem before, but it has been getting worse over the past few months.  Is it simply the wear-and-tear of an old computer or is it something in the hardware (or software) that I could replace or fix that would get rid of the problem?

    Go to the Utilities folder in apps, and click disk utility. Select your hard drive form the left, and then do verify and repair disk permissions. Often times there are problems with the hard drive due to installations or upgrades. If this does not work, it may be that your computer is simply slow due to a lack of memory. If this is the case, the activity monitor will show a very small amount of free RAM. The solution is simply to buy more RAM.

    We have just started using Connect.
    At a meeting this week all was well with three connections (two in NZ one in France) then the audio between two of the parties was lost. Subsequently another two could talk but the third could not hear (a different pair to the original problem).

    You should contact Adobe Support, as they would be the best people to look at your account and see if there is any issues.You can start a chat session with a Support Agent here, Adobe Connect Help | Adobe Connect Support. Just select in-meeting issues from the drop down and then I still need help. You will then be able to start a chat session or you can call them directly using your local number: Adobe Connect Support phone numbers.

    It has been closed. Why?
    The screenshot featured Arch logo. The description provided the names of packages necessary to install with pacman to run OGS Mahjong.

    I understand you sent an inquiry by email to jasonwran, who responded by email with an explanation.
    I generally post a message explaining my actions which includes a link to me.  I thought I had in this case.  Apparently I did not do that this time -- for that I apologize.   You deserve  a link back to me.
    As has been pointed out by ngoonee and by jasonwryan, this was your very first post on Arch Linux and was clearly designed to drive traffic to your site.  As such, it qualifies as an advertisement and was handled as such.  I must admit, my response would have been different had you an established presence in these forums as opposed to it being your very first post.
    The package you posted does not have an installer for Arch Linux and was clearly not designed specifically for this distribution.  As Jasonwryan suggested, the way to handle this would be to create a PKGBUILD for your project and submit it to our AUR.  Then you would be more than welcome to post on these forums under the community contributions section identifying your package.  If you need help creating a PKGBUILD, these forums are the place to ask and I guarantee help will be forthcoming.
    These forums are intended to be for the support of Arch Linux.   Most forums are technical in nature with a few set aside for some levity.  It is an active community with well established norms.  It is the job of the moderators deal with issues that fall outside of those norms.  We are human and sometimes make the wrong call.  That is why we have multiple moderators who communicate off-line with each other.  In this case, I've seen no disagreement  from my colleagues. 
    Please consider submitting your package to our AUR and we can move forward from there.  We would like to have you as part of our community.

  • Why has no patch been made for the January update?

    After that December/January update my phone began DRAINING my battery.  My WIFI connection is horrible even when I am sitting next to my router.  The phone just powers off on it's own, my touch screen is horrible.....
    All these issues have been commented on by bloggers, magazines, websites, yet Verizon has not fized the issue.
    Has anyone heard about a patch for this?

    I want to make sure that you are having a good working device. There is no info on if there is an update for the issues that you are having. Have you been able to back up the device and perform a factory reset since the update come into the phone? Please keep us posted.

  • Why has file sync been disabled again?

    After my Creative Cloud file sync had been enabled again a week ago, it has been disabled again today. I have been waiting for it to be available again for months and now without any warning it has been disabled. I know the 'new' functionalities of file synchronisation and sharing are very poor, but at least it was there. Why did Adobe do this and when is it going to be solved again? I need an answer on this topic soon, because I'm working on a project and need CC to function like it should.
    (The 'Update' is for Adobe Premiere)
    Adobe is not giving me the full service I am paying for each month. Perhaps I will have to take juridical actions in this matter.

    Norbert, firstly my apologies for the inconsitency of the service.  This is not something that should be occuring.  In order to better understand the cause, could you confirm the version of the Creative Cloud app you are running? (got to Preferences/Account)  Also, could you send me a copy of your log file, which you'll find here:
    AppData\Adobe\CoreSync\CorSync-yyyy-mm-dd.log
    Please email me the files that correspond to the days you noticed the issue.  I'm on [email protected]

  • Why has QLOGIC 1280 been removed from Kernel 2.6.6 & 2.6

    Hi folks,
    I upgraded to the latest 2.6-scsi kernel and all of a sudden, no boot. After looking at the .config it appears that the qlogic-1280 support has been taken out. Now I understand that I can also recompile the kernel but is where could I have read about these changes before applying the package?

    theoretically you should be able to find such info in the cvs "changelog" for this kernel. i usually use the web interface for the cvs as you can use the colour coded diff features.
