Why has my purchased music gone missing
Hi i recently synced my iphone 4 and realised that most of my music has gone missing. After usiing itunes the same day I was trying to play tracks in my library and got a message saying orignal file could not be found. As I looked through the list of tracks I could not play I realised it was all the music I had purchased from itunes that was unable to be played. I do use a shared computer so I cannot say if any changes were made but have been sharing the computer for 2 years now and nothing like this has happened before.
Delete the songs and redownload them:

Hope this helps.

Why is my purchased music gone?

If I can't get it back I will NOT buy any more music from iTunes ever again.Did the music disappear after updating? It might still be on your computer then.

Assuming you have room available to the left of the check mark in iTunes (if not, make room first), try control-click on the row that says "Name ... Artist ... etc." and checking "Auto size all columns" from the resulting drop-down. -
Why wont my purchased music download from macbook to ipad?
why wont my purchased music download from macbook to ipad? What checks should I make?
Make sure that you are signed into the correct ID in Setting>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. If you use iTunes Match, you have to disable it on the iPad before you can sync your music.

HT5429 Why has the maps app gone so sour in IOS6 can I revert to IOS5?
Why has the maps app gone so sour in IOS6.The images at any reasonable magnification are colourless and so fuzzy as to be useless.I loved my old Google based system which even allowed me to look into my house window from the street view function.I wish I had never accepted the invitation to upgrade to IOS6 I would like to go back tithe old system
Google and Apple have apparently parted ways in the 'bundled apps' area.
If you don't like the bundled map app, then your option is to look for a replacement in the app store. -
Why has my iMac screen gone to stripes. I am using Yosomite
why has my iMac screen gone to stripes and nothing else. I am using Yosemite
Could be the card or the screen.
Courtesy BDAqua:
Take a screen shot & view that in Preview, move the Preview window around, if you see double lines it's a Video card/VRAM problem, if the lines do not move moving the pic around then it's the LCD or cable.
If your screenshot isn't showing the stripes here, it will most likely mean the screen, LCD panel, is the problem. -
ITunes purchased music now missing...
I have purchased music from itunes, entire cd's, and now the music is missing from my library. The file is there, but it has an ! next to it. When I try to play the songs, it states that the file cannot be located. I have gone to my "purchased" items in the iTunes store, and nothing is listed for download. This has happened to more than 1 cd - and it is frustrating because they were purchased through iTunes so there is no "hard copy" to reload from. I have tried completely deleting iTunes and re-installing it to no avail. Can someone please tell me where my music is, how to get it back - and why it is disappearing in the first place? This is music I paid iTunes for - so am not sure why iTunes is taking it away, so to speak...... VERY frustrating and annoying.
I have tried this. The songs are not listed there. These are albums that I have purchased through my iPhone. For some reason- they keep going missing from my iTunes library. Same Apple ID, no changes. The weird thing is- only some of the songs from the albums are missing. So it's not the entire album in all cases, but it is in others. I completely wiped my computer of iTunes, redownloaded it, and started over. The songs were there. Now- 4 days later- they are missing again. This is SO annoying! It's not like these are songs I ripped from someone else - I paid for these through iTunes. Why do they keep disappearing and re-apearing? Is there anyway to save them in a different format on my computer if I can ever get them back again? This deleting and reloading is getting old... I even tried the "repair" option when downloading iTunes. That doesn't bring the music back. This is so weird.. I've never had any issues before....

Purchased music gone after PC crash
Hi
Hope someone can help. I had a PC crash and had to reinstall everything from scratch. My purchased music has gone, how do I get it back? I've bought it, I have the record of it in "Purchased", but how can I get it from iTunes again without having to buy it again? Many thanks
Windows XP

Windows XPI had the exact same thing happen to me, I emailed apple about it and they replyed saying they put all of my bought songs in a "Download queue". Any songs I bought that were later modified at the iTunes Store they could not do but in my case none had been modified. once they had set up a download queue all I had to do is hit Advance at the top of iTunes and select "Check For Purchases". I would recommend doing that first to see if that works, if not email apple and Im sure they will set up a download queue for you. Goto this link http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/lostmusic/ at the bottom of the page is where you can fill out some basic info and email them about your problem. This is where I went to email and then redownload all my bought songs. once you have done that make sure you back up all the songs you have bought to a CD, DVD or External Hard drive.

I created playlists in daughter's laptop (we were sharing her computer). All purchased music from iTunes. Daughter, in all her teenage wisdom, felt it was an attack to her privacy and belongings so she deleted my playlists. Now, I purchased a new laptop which did not show my music. That's when I found out daughter had deleted my playlists. My new laptop develop problems and upon going back to Best Buy, they decided to give me ANOTHER laptop. Now, my question is:
Surely ITUNES has a record of all my purchases (i.e., both my daughter's and my purchases). Where can I find the music we've purchased to date so I can download it to my new laptop?? I just can't believe ALL my music is gone..... I've invested money here, know what I mean???Calm down.

You really should always have a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. -
Purchased Music playist missing
My Purchased Music Playlist is missing from the "Store" menu. Please help.
Just create a smart playlist where 'Kind' contains 'Protected'.
That will make a playlist of all your purchased music and will continue to do so as you buy more. It won't however look like the green playlist that was there before, nor will it sit below the Store.

Why did my purchased music just double?!?
All of my purchased albums doubled overnight. Half of them have the Icloud icon after them prompting me to "Download to Icloud". Now if I try and play an album, each song plays twice.
Hi Doug
In some ways, the Purchased Music playlist is like a regular playlist. Sometimes when moving songs from one playlist to another, or dragging a CD icon or a playlist icon, or even the library icon itself, they accidentally get dropped on the Purchased Music icon or into its window. So that's why sometimes it contains songs that aren't puchased, ie when other songs are manually copied to it, usually accidentally.
If there are songs in that list that aren't purchased, you can simply select them and press the delete button. This will delete them from that playlist but not from the Library.
Your other situation is a bit less clear. You say the Purchased Music playlist contains tracks that are not in your main library? That can't be. The library is the source of all music. If you delete a track from the library it will automatically be delete from all playlists it is in as well. When songs are dragged from the library to a playlist, the actual song file is not copied, rather just a link to the song file is added to the playlist.
Perhaps what's going on is that your Purchased Music playlist looks like it contains more songs, but what's really going on is that there are duplicates in that playlist. This might have happenned if you accidentally dragged your library icon into your Purchased Music playlist, it would have copied all the songs from the library, including all your purcahsed music, thus making duplicates in that playlist.
Does that help explain some of what's going on?

WWhy has my entire music collection been thrown into disarray which I cannot resolve with the latest ipad upgrade?
a Broadway album that starts with Act Two jumps to the prelude and then hops all over the place is crap! Expensive too from iTunes. Now I cannot listen to my music, I am not happy. You have the remnants of an old school library layout that has been upgraded to the new layout.
See this thread for details...
Check under File > Library > Organize Library that Rearrange files in the folder iTunes Media is greyed out. If not tick the box and click OK.
Next go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced and turn off the Keep iTunes Media folder organized option. Click OK, then turn that option back on again.
The artist folders directly inside iTunes Media are orphaned as are any files they contain. There are probably a bunch of hidden artwork files created by Windows Media Player but if you want to recover any media files in case there are things that you have lost push all the Artist folders (from this level only!) into Automatically Add to iTunes. Once iTunes has finished digesting the folders anything it can't add to the library will be placed in Not Added. You can work out what to do with what's left.

Purchased music gone....again. Please help!
Ok, here is the deal. I was having troubles with itunes and was forced to re-install it. That went fine, i got all my music back and it works as it should. However, I don't have any of the purchased music anymore.....
I can't find anyway to "enable" or "authorize" the computer to play it. Please help me! Thanks. No, you didn't mention that your purchases weren't on the computer you are using. That was an important piece of information, without knowing that, the assumption is that the purchases are on the computer. Also, when you set up the SPL, you have to make 2 separate entries for protected AAC, then click on the "+", then purchased AAC. That doesn't matter anyway since the purchases aren't even on this system. Store policy states that downloads are a one time deal & it's the USER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO BACKUP IMPORTANT FILES. If you have no backups, you may have a problem getting your purchased music back. Could you possibly provide some SPECIFIC DETAILS as to what is going on & what happened to your purchased content?

Purchased music gone from iPhone?
hi
ok, so, i just bought some new music from itunes over iphone 3g this morning, and i thought it'd be a good idea to create a playlist with it all (purchased music)
i see my recently purchased music is in it, however, music that i bought only a few days ago isn't on my iphone anymore, and nor is it on my itunes on my sync computer.
it shows up under account purchases but i can't find it anywhere...and yes i've used spotlight etc, it's the not being on my iphone bit thats worrying me. i use manual sync so nothing can be deleted without my decision right?
any help apprecciated thanks guysDid you try iTunes > File menu > Transfer purchases from...?
If they are in your purchase history on your iTunes account, you can use the Report a Problem link.
