Why has the "HOME" tab disappeared since my upgrade today?

Today I upgraded Firefox. Since then, my toolbar has changed. I was able to get it re-configured, but there is no choice for a tab which will return me to the START window of Firefox. I want to have that tab back.

The Home button is in the right-side if the Navigation Bar, to the right of the Search Bar.

I got a new laptop today with Windows 7, and downloaded the most recent version of iTunes. I am keeping all my music files on an external hard drive, but have dragged all of them into my iTunes library. This is how I've done it before and have never had any problems. Now, for all of the songs that didn't have lyrics in the first place, the lyrics tab has completely disappeared, and all of the adjustable fields in the other tabs are greyed out and uneditable. Does anyone know what I've done wrong, and how this can be fixed, please?

Assuming you have room available to the left of the check mark in iTunes (if not, make room first), try control-click on the row that says "Name ... Artist ... etc." and checking "Auto size all columns" from the resulting drop-down.

Oops, right: I meant Time Capsule. Time Machine is backing up to the Time Capsule, but I thought I could also use the Time Capsule as an external hard drive as well as a target for Time Machine. So, this is a non-no?

Thanks for the reply. My button was after the last tab until I upgraded. What I did was restore to default tool bar and the button was there. I then re customized my tool bar the way it was.

Why do the app tabs disappear every time you shut down the browser?

If the browser is shut down I have to start all over again with the app tabs.
I miss the facebook and other add-ons for instant access to the sites I use all the time. I am thinking about going backwards with Firefox.

If you have 1 home page then firefox when it starts this page it will open only, if you have 2, this 2 etc.

How come that the Info tab not longer seen in iTunes when connecting my iphone? This prevent me from configure my settings of calendar sync. The calendar in my iphone is not updated any longer. Have the latest version of iOS and iTunes on Mac.

OS X Mavericks only allows you to sync your contacts, calendars, notes and reminders from your Mac to your iPad through iCloud or any other cloud service. You cannot sync your information through iTunes anymore.

This forum is ridiculous. I have a simple question but have to jump thru hoops just to put it up. my local app and my navigator app has disappeared from all our droid phones. whats up with that?

The VZW navigator app or the Google Maps and Navigation app?
Google released a version of Maps and incorporated their Navigation app into the main Maps application.
Not sure about the VZW navigator app though.
Both application have had recent discussions created about them and could have been located through a search of the community forum.

Why has the airplay symbol disappeared from ipad 2 after update?

I responded to an IOS update request and now the ipad 2 does not show the airplay symbol. Both devices are on and connected to the wifi. Switching both on and off has not resolved it. It seems t o be a well known problem but this non tech savvy guy cannot fix it.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Restart your mobile device.

You can't use iCloud to back up your photos. Photo stream only keeps photos for 30 days, and your iCloud backup would be overwritten by a new backup that doesn't contain your photos if your were to delete them from your phone and keep backing up.
If you want to get them off your phone, import them to your computer and delete them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

You should be able to remove it by going to Add-ons, then Extensions. If it's not there, then the free edition of Malwarebytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free should be able to get rid of it for you.

Why is the "Partition" tab gone from my Disk Utility? How do I partition a disk?

1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc One if you are trying to partition your startup drive and after the installer loads select your language then click on the Continue button. After the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
If you are trying to partition an external drive or a non-startup drive then simply open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (only required for Intel Macs) then click on the OK button. Set the number of partitions from the dropdown menu (use 1 partition unless you wish to make more.) Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the volume(s) mount on the Desktop.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process will take 30 minutes to an hour or more depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
