Why has the texting "dictation" (microphone symbol) feature gone with the iOS 7 update?
I have noticed that the dication feature (microphone symbol) is no longer avaiable with the iOS update on iphone 4S? does anybody know why?
It is most definitely still available. Have you checked to make sure that Siri is still turned on? Settings>General>Siri? Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

The disk folder you're describing sounds a lot like the Windows Favorites folder. That's actually completely independent from Firefox's bookmark storage.
After your upgrade, did you freshly install Firefox? In that case, the problem might be an incomplete import of your Windows Favorites (IE Favorites) instead of an incomplete recovery of your old Firefox bookmarks.
To see whether you still have your Firefox bookmarks, in your backup -- for example, the C:\Windows.old\ folder, or a backup on external media -- could you try to track down a folder named '''bookmarkbackups'''. Ok I fixed the issue, turns out a couple of weeks ago, I downloaded a program that was suppose to help shrink some of your stuff to use less data, it was called Onavo. It was suppose to show you how much data you use to help keep you within your limits. If you have downloaded this, go through your settings and delete it and it will fix the problem. At least it did for me. I can now send photo's to non Iphone users via text no problem.

Why iPhone 6 Plus sound microphone not working, but in the case of sound recordings in conversation mode work?
Sighhhh, wasted so much time yesterday and today going around Sony centre and then carphone warehouse. They told me to come back after Easter.
I came home, banged the phone against the wall and it worked.
Turned out that mic was working on loud speaker and when using headphones so I thought that the secondary mic is working and the main one (placed with the speakers) isn't. So I banged that part against the wall slightly (in plastic case to prevent scratches) then put the phone underwater, waited for it to dry and now it's working. Idk how well and if it's of perfect quality again but people can hear me well. -
When using the "Fill & Sign PDF" feature, is there a way to stretch to size the text box on a specific area of the page...instead of the text box going on in one straight long line....? I'm not seeing there's an option or ability to do so, just wanting to confirm.
Improving the handling of multiple line text fields is in our plans, but for now, you will have to add manual carriage returns (Enter).

I downloaded the newest version of Firefox and now the Google Toolbar is not working the same. Most importantly the PageRank indicator is not present. I've tried re-installing the Google Toolbar, and I've made sure the PageRank tool is activated. But with the new version the PageRank tool does not appear anywhere. Also, my other add-on Toolbar, LastPass has disappeared well.

When I restarted Firefox 5.0 I then enabled the FILE, EDIT VIEW HISTORY etc bar. If you then then right click your mouse right next the the HELP button it brings up which tabs and toolbars you have enabled. Click on Customise. then find the SEO TOOLBAR in the list, and left mouse click on it and dont let go of the mouse click, drag it up to your customised toolbar area.
You will then see the SEO TOOLBAR icon in your customised toolbar. Click on this, and it will put the PAGERANK and ALEXA bars at the bottom right cornet of your firefox browsing window. Not sure if youll need to click that every time to get those 2 bars down there but at least this version works with Firefox 5.0

I have a simple form which allows users to submit receipts as attachments. I have some required identifying information (name, etc.) and then three optional slots for attachments, along with optional text boxes for descriptions. The form tests fine with attachments on my computer and on a couple other computers we tested with.
However, I am getting complaints from several users that they see the following message when they hit "Submit": "An error has occurred. There was an error communicating with the server. Please try again later." Any ideas why this might be or how I can fix it?Do you mind emailing the URL of your fillable form to me ([email protected]).
I would like to investigate as to what the issue might be with Internet Explorer.

Why has Siri stopped working on iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 5? I've tried the disable and reboot but continue to get the network error.
Apple has not been forthcoming on the explanation. My Siri worked on my iphone4 (not 4s) immediately after upgrading to IOS5, but I take it they have redirected the servers that used to support Siri to only work with Iphone4s.
It is one thing for apple to only bundle the improved Siri with IPhone 4S, or for them to remove Siri from the Ap store.
But it is another thing all together for apple to purchase a company, and then cease the service that many of us paid for.
Attempts to contact apple at apple store and via email have been unhelpful.

How to set the text in a jtextfield to align to the left
A quick simple question. I'm populating a jtextfield with text pulled from a record. However the text is too long to fit in the jtextfield and the alignment is set to the right rather than the left. How do I set the alignment of the text in the jtextfield to be on the left, so that the first character of the string is shown?
I've tried using
setHorizontalAlignmnet(JTextField.LEFT),
but my text still appears right justified in the jtextfield. It means that the user has to scroll the text to go to the beginning of the string, rather than the usual of scrolling the right to go the end of the string.
This has really gotten me stumped!HI thanks for the help. Unfortunately it doesn't work if the text is longer than the actual textfield. The textfield would still show the end of the text, rather than showing the beginning of the text.
For e.g.

is show rather than
|test tex|
which is my desired result.

Does "Messages" in OSX 10.8.2 work cross platform? My daughter has an android phone and I can text with her OK in iOS. However, her texts don't show up on OSX whereas texts from my son, who has an iPhone, work in iOS and OSX.

The answer is yes and no.
As Barney-15E link says you can get the Messages app to SMS to AIM Buddies. Or rather telephone Numbers as AIM Buddies.
There are limits.
The computer has to be set as if in the United States (System Preferences > Language and Text > Region)
The phone is question has to be on a carrier that supports AIM SMS forwarding which only applies to some US based carriers.
The reason the SMS Messages arriving on the iPhone do not sync is that they are not iMessages (the "No" Part).
I use Messages with the Buddy List Showing.
As a test I have added a made up number as a Buddy and also created a Address Card for it.
So Mousing over the "Buddy" reveal the "Screen Name" which is the phone Number
You have to include the Leading +1 country code as well.

Just moved from iphone to Samsung s3 but everytime an iphone user texts me it thinks my sim is still in an iphone device and send the text as imessagner so i dont receicve the message
Do you still have the iphone? I know this has been an issue with phones that were lost or stolen, but if you still have your iphone try going into settings on that iphone and turn off imessage. See if that helps,certainly cannot do any harm.

I am experiencing network failures with my Airport Extremes: the main router is a 2nd Gen, the extension a 5th Gen.
The 5th Gen keeps on losing connection with the main router and thus with the internet.
Any ideas why?Is the second Extreme configured to "extend" the network created by the first? If so its position must be such that it has a strong wireless connection to the first Extreme. If it is at the limits of the first one's wireless range its connection will be tenuous. Place them closer together and determine if that makes a difference.

When I attempt to send a text from the new iPad, a dialog box appears with the option to either sign in with Apple ID Password or Create New Account. I try signing in using my Apple ID password but IMessage informs me that email address cannot be verified because it is already in use ??? What am I doing wrong?
settings -> iTunes & App Store
click on apple ID listed there
select Sign Out
sign in with the proper account
from then on, when the store ask for your password it should be with the correct ID
