Why hasn't iWork synced for free on iOS?

Hi guys,
I recently bought a Mac Mini for the office and since the recent event, I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to iWork for free right?
Well that was the case on Mac OS X, but why is it that on my iOS devices iWork is a paid for suite? Shouldn't it have the download option since it's meant to syncing via iCloud? Instead it's prompting me to pay. Why is this?

Once the apps have been redeemed, you can download them on other iOS devices that are supported to run those apps. As far as an iPad 2, you should be able to use those apps as long as you are running iOS 7 on that iPad.

This might be a pretty old question, but lately I came to know that iWork apps were/are free for iOS 7 running devices, and my iPhone 4s which runs on iOS 7.1.2 and I activated it JUST 4 DAYS BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2013 (And many say, those who activated their iDevices after September 1st of 2013 are eligible to download iWork apps for free) is not able to get those apps for free. So is there any trick on refreshing/re-activating my account so that I get those apps (iPhoto, iMovie, Pages etc.) for free? Not being mean, but I feel so embarrassed for not activating my phone just after 4 days so that all those apps which I needed most would have been free (And ofcourse I did not know They would come for free if I had activated my phone afer 4 days ).

The offer for free iWorks apps is date dependent. If you purchased it prior to the eligible date, no, you are not entitled to them for free, and there is no trick to getting them. you will need to purchase them.

Yes, if you have iWork '09 installed on your Mavericks Mac, the updates are free.
There are several reasons why the updates don't show as free for those who already have iWork '09 installed.
1. You must have iWork '09 apps & they must be updated to the x.3 version. You can also download the standalone updater from this page.
2. If you are not using English as the primary language for your Mac, change to English & run Software Update. You can then switch back to your preferred language.
3. Go to Mac App Store (MAS) > Click on Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads. You will need to individually click into each application > Click update > enter in your Apple ID & password and then it will start updating.
4. Open App Store on your Mac & look at the buttons under Keynote, Pages & Numbers. If it does not say “Update” click Account under Quick Links, enter your password & click “View Account.” Next, click the “Reset” button to the right of “Reset all warnings for buying and downloading” at the bottom of this page, & click Done. Check your updates tab & iWork & iLife updates should now appear.

The store told me that Mavericks was guarenteed for 6 months. So when I bought it early, (knowing that Mavericks was coming), I had no fears. 64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp.

I bought my iPhone 5s since 1 year (after september). There i get the iWork apps for free. But now they cost money.

My iPhone 5s is registered on my apple id

I had the same problem on my iPad Air: i deleteded the apps before IOS8, then after the upgrade iWork was not on the cloud for free anymore. Thanks to your question I remembered I changed my appleID after the download of iWork. So I had to login with my previous appleID on the appstore and i could download them again for free. Maybe it works the same for you (but I'm not sure since you say your iPhone it's registered on your appleID). Give it a try.

Afraid not. Reason being, the apps that run on your iPhone are designed for iOS.
Apps that run on your Mac are designed for OS X.
Two different operating systems.
Those apps must be purchased separately from the App Store on your Mac.

If your system is only 2 days old, you may have the most recent version of iWork. Just run Software Update to be sure.

Once they've been downloaded they can't be downloaded again using a different Apple ID.

The apps are free with iOS 7 if you purchased a new device after September 2013. The apps do not come free just because you are running iOS 7 now. Did you purchase or receive a new iPad recently?
If you did, are you using the same Apple ID to get the apps that you used to activate the iPad? If you are, sign out of your ID, restart your iPad, sign in again and go back to the App Syore and see if the apps show up as free.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad and go back to the settings and sign in again.

Yes. The apps are not pre-installed, but rather you are prompted to download them the first time you launch the App Store in iOS 7:

There are plenty of apps still compatible with iOS 4.2.1. Not a majority, necessarily, but they're still out there. If the app you want requires a newer version, find another app the accomplishes the same thing.
Of course, it may be too late for that now, since you chose to hack/jailbreak your iPhone, and it is currently a brick. As varjak paw stated, this forum will not help you with your hacked phone.
