Why have I got "logitec device detection" in my fierfox add ons ?

recnnty got an update for logitec device detection which I have never heard of. Ifound it in my firefox add ons. Question is ,what is it and what is it doing there? I have not to my knowlage downloade it. should it be there?
firefox was newly installed on 25th feb 2011 and the addons I have installed are: Wot,Addblock plus. downthem all and fireftp

This plugin is only for the Logitech support page. I've never been on that page until I found this answer, but it's been in my firefox add-ons for ages.
This is installed, I think, when you install all your Logitech software. Seems weird and intrusive to install a browser plugin for one purpose: to detect you logitech devices and identify them when you go to logitech's support pages.
Even the time I've spent figuring out this fact was a waste of my life-energy.

Try to modify the pref ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled on the about:config page from the default value -1 to 0 or 1 to see if that makes the scroll pad work.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)

Why have I got TWO help menus in iCal?

Why have I got two Help menus in iCal, one beside the other? I'd post a screen shot but I can't find any way to do that.

Try going to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Mail, restart your Mac, then go back and check Mail again. See if that doesn't eliminate one of them.

I have disable all Add-ons - I've reinstalled FireFox 6 three time and it repeatedly locks up and slide shows fail to load. I have all of the proper Flash and Shockwave type Add-ons. I just can't resolve the problem.

Sending a solution that I have already tried is of no help, but I tried them all again, reloading works sometimes, I have seen in the past that others have had this problem also, of pages not completely loading. So I don't see how you can say I am the only one. When I first started using Firefox it worked great but now it doesn't, one of the updates caused this problem. I guess it's back to IE as it works fine now.

I have the 4.0 and I use the greasemonkey add ons. They worked fine on the 3.0, but when I updated to the 4.0, it freezes up, I need help please.

What is the ''advert ban application'' that you refer to ? this may be some program that was installed on Windows XP and may need to be removed from the control panel of XP, or is it part of a security suite ?

Firefox should save the download location as part of the data of each downloaded file in downloads.sqlite, but I do not think that there is a user interface to make that data visible.
The SQLite Manager shows that data in the Target field.

Why did I download FireFox 11, when none of the add-ons work on it?

I was using Google Chrome to use on Facebook. I had problems with it and multiple users told me the way to go was to switch to Firefox. I downloaded it and while reviewing the get aquainted information, it seems most of the add-ons say" Not available with Firefox11. Why did I bother if their newest product does not support their own add-ons?

Why have I got duplicate mailboxes in Mail (Mac OS X 10.7.2)? Why can't I delete them?

Ever since installing Mac OS X 10.7 I have been plagued by duplicate mailboxes in Mail.app. Does anyone know why this could be? I also cannot delete them — Mail just freezes and I have to Quit and relaunch. Any help gratefully received. TIA.

Same problem - Mail at some point decided to create, like, Inbox and Inbox-2, in various accounts. Same with Sent Mail and other maiboxes within a given account (I have four--and they worked just fine in Snow Leopard.)
Of course, I am also using POP mail--but that can't be the problem, POP configures just fine and there's no problem with Send or Receive.
Just .. why the duplicate Inbox, for example. I tried importing them and sorting into just plain Inbox for the account--but no. Mail instantly re-creates the dupe folder.
Which makes some mail not show up, of course, in the Mail window--it's in a different mailbox!
Will name firstborn after person with solution/fix.

I have a solid red circle on the phone icon at the bottom of my home screen.I Get a notification message come up on my home screen telling me that i have a new voicemail mesage.
When i dial into voicemail it tells me there are no messages.I Have rang my network provider(3) they did a restore on my phone using itunes on my computer(remotely)but the circle is still there.I took it to my local Apple store(Milton Keynes) when he took the sim card out with the phone still switched on it dissapeared.But when he reinserted the sim it came back. Just wondered if any one else has had this problem.Could it be the sim card?

Phoned up 3 they still had my problem on file.told me to go to my local 3 store and ask for a replacement sim.Got the sim the assistant inserted it hay presto no red dot,just waiting for the new sim to be activated.

Why have I got 2 Safari icons on the desktop?

I don't know how this happened, but I now have 2 Safari icons in the dock (one is outlined by a square when clicked), but when my husband goes into his account, he can't get Safari and it doesn't show in the finder!
Can anybody advise, or will I have to get somebody out to look at this?

not sure why it's there twice. just use your mouse to lift one of them up above the dock and it will "poof" and disappear.

Thank you for your prompt feedback and correction, yes of course i mean the actual time capsual. There are many people experiencing big issues with the first backup onto the TC, its recommended by many not to do your first backup via wireless as it often fails, therefore with my old MBP if I had large differences in my last backup and the latest backup I did via ethernet. Now i have to by an ethernet adaptor for $35.00 and still it takes 10 hours for 80GB initial backup.
