My bookcase has dissappeared from the ibooks app, any ideas?

Apple removed it and the 'book view' for some obscure reason.

Why has "get more episodes" disappeared from the Music App in iOS5

Since I upgrade to iOS5 I have noticed 2 "downsides" to the "iPod" replacement app "Music".
Firstly the "get more episodes" has disappearwed from the podcast pages as has the symbols as to which track is playing or is unplayed.
Apple please may we have these facilities back?

I don't care for the changes to "music", formerly "ipod", app either. Even the icon color is a bit much compared to the old ipod icon.
I really miss the "get more episodes" and hope it will be back soon. It is a good feature, and one I used every day.
The format is harder to work with.
If one podcast is playing or loaded and paused, I don't seem to be able to activate a different podcast.
All but one or two of the podcast icons just show music note instead of podcast picture.
Button to switch back to list of podcast episodes seems to be gone as well.
Missing the played/unplayed as well.
There is no 30 second replay button on the broadcast as far as I can tell.
I seem to be getting all episodes listed on a podcast page, but not all of them are even loaded.
IOS5 didn't really improve the podcast format/experience, but has made it less user-friendly. IMO

I cannot update apps, or download Mountain Lion. It spent time downloading, supposedly, then after it was finished it said it was unable to do so. Tried it three times, same result.
Never experienced this before.

I need to clarify the problem:
software update returns:
The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.
The Mac App Store update, download new, or resume returns:
The application you tried to download could not be downloaded. Check your internet connection and try again.

HT4059 I am on holiday in Berlin and have uploaded iOS 6. Now the iBook app is in German! No use to me so I can't download books at the moment. Anyone else had this problem??

Yesterday I downloaded iOS 6 in all innocence and since then my iBooks app will only appear in German. Surely it is possible to choose the language you read in? Will everyone who leaves the UK or USA find the iPad automatically chooses the language of the connection being used?? Ridiculous! Does anyone know how to sort this out?? Maybe Apple do?

With the Edge program, there is a "possibility" that someone will pay full price for a phone. This is not always the case, though. As Ann154 has pointed out, you can use the Device Payment Plan and keep your unlimited data. At no time during your contract can you trade THAT phone in to get another phone. You would have to continue making the payments on THAT phone along with any other phone you upgraded to. THAT is the difference between the 2 plans. You WILL end up paying full price for the phone on the Device Payment Plan, where you can STOP making payments on a phone with the Edge Plan if you turn it in for another device.

I can't open the ibooks store from the iBooks app

When I open the iPad app, the store button that's supposed to be in the upper left hand corner isn't visible -- there or anywhere else!

Check the General/Restrictions settings and see if perhaps restrictions are active and the iBookstore is turned off.

All my tools only give me one option. For example the dodge and burn only allow burn. This has happened since I updated photoshop.

I haven't seen a lot of folks reporting this issue here on the forum.
You could try resetting your Photoshop preferences to defaults. Press and hold Command - Shift - Option simultaneously (or Control - Shift - Alt if on a PC) immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.
The "nuclear option" would of course be to fully uninstall and reinstall...

Why have I lost my photos from iPad?

I had about 11000 photos uploaded to my iPad (3); after the last sync to iTunes, most are gone!
Syncing now iTunes still thinks there's 25.5. Gb of photos on the iPad, whil ethe iPad Settings/General/Usage say there's only 6.3 Gb. I'm not looking forward to syncing them again - it took days to get them on in the first place as iTunes will only reliably upload about 500 at a time. I do believe Apple ar elosing the plot!

The chances that it's a virus on your iPad or iPhone is very slim. Who is your mail provider? it's far more likely that your address has been spoofed and it's your mail service that has been compromised not your iDevice. I know my Yahoo mail was hacked and people in my address book received spam mails that I didn't send.
have you changed the address on your e-mail account?

How to put a doc file in the iBook app on an iPhone

I have been successful moving PDF onto the iBook app on my iPhone 3GS but the same procedure does not with with a Doc. There is a "DOC" category listed within the iBook app itself so I should be able to do it.
Dragging the file from "finder" into the ebook section within iTunes is how I get PDFs into iBook. Is there a different way for Docs?
I am on a Macbook Pro using Lion 10.7.3.
IPhone is a 3GS

It appears that doc files cannot be put on the iBook App....only PDFs and ePub files.

You can redownload any purchased books without syncing with your PC. To do this, open iBooks on your iPad, click on the Store button at the upper left of the screen. Once the store loads, you'll see a tab labeled Purchased on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Click there and you'll be able to download any books that you purchased from the iBookstore.

The NEF file only gives a little "nef" icon. i was able to convert the NEF to DNG on the old computer and then brought the files over to the new computer. On the old computer, the NEF files were depicted as little jpeg's so I would be able to see a picture of what each file represented. On the new computer, both the NEF files and the DNG files are depicted with icons, "nef" or "dng", but not as little pictures. On the new computer, though, I am to import the DNG's into Adobe and edit them so that is working regardless of whether or not a picture is present for the icon of each file. I've downloaded the DNG converter from Adobe and will try the conversion directly on the new computer when I get home from work. I do appreciate your responses and will let you know how it works.
I am curious then, since right now the files are represented by little "nef"'s and little "dng"'s: If I also download the viewNX (spelling might be wrong, sorry) from nikon, do you know if that maintains the file as a RAW format file but allows a picture representation of the RAW file for the icon? (That would make it easier to choose which RAW files I would choose to edit and which to not even bother with as an initial culling if that makes sense.
