Why have the ports on the left of my macbook pro and the wifi and bluetooth stopped working?

Hey All,
About a week ago the two usb ports on the left of my 17" macbook pro, soundcard, wifi, and bluetooth stopped working. The power port, ethernet, remaining usb on the right are still functional. I've tried repairing the permissions and other software based solutions but to no avail. I'm worried that this might be a motherboard issue but am apprehensive about taking the ol' girl into a genius because it will probably cost more to repair than the remaining value of the system. Anyone have any ideas, can confirm my suspicion?

Well I'm using Google Chrome browser on Lion and when I type in that URL nothing happens. Except for the "This webpage is not available" banner.
So it looks like your website is down and what you are getting on your devices are cache.
Oh just deleted the www and now I see the page. Yup all the info looks intact. home about us products Q&A and so on.

HT5783 My MacBook Pro (Mid-2009) digital output has stopped working. It turns on the red light at the other side of the plug, but fails to connect with my receiver. Output from Airport works fine.

It was working fine until now, and now suddenly, the sound is gone. I've tried PRAM and SMC reset. Nothing works.
Using the same cable with my airport express, through airplay, the sound comes out fine.
It wasn't working when on Mavericks, nor now, on Yosemite.

If you’re using your computer’s digital output port (not available on all computers), choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Sound, then click Output. Make sure Digital Output is selected.
Make sure your computer is connected to a digital-ready receiver using an optical digital cable, and that your receiver is set up for digital input (see the information that came with your receiver).
Try adjusting the volume on your receiver. You can’t use the computer’s volume controls to adjust the volume while using digital output.

I have been using an external mouse on my Macbook Pro. The mouse worked fine for weeks and still works great on other computers. My problem is that my notebook stopped recognizing it for no reason. It is funny this problem started last night. Thanks

I just found out that if I restart the notebook and plug in the mouse it will work flawless for a few minutes, but then something recognizes it and it stops working. I am really fed up with Mac. It is always something. Safari quits unexpectedly everyother day and asks me to repert the problem, which never goes through. Safari's beachball also spins uncontrolably for hours until I press the button to force quit. It never allows me to collaborate my email with MAIL, and anytime I want to send an email it goes to an email that claims no valid password when that is clearly not the problem. I am a proud purchaser of 3 Iphones, Ipad, Ipod nano, and a macbook pro, but I am getting sick to my stomach with this nonsense. I have wasted a whole day! When I asked a question last time it asked for money! Itunes has taken back hundreds of dollars worth of songs that I have purchased, and summoned me for more money in order for me to keep them! I can't get anything done with this mac! Where is the customer support!? Counter productive, and I will be voicing my opinion loudly.

I have tried to rebuild the mailbox but it has not done anything.

The mailbox behavior says: Drafts (not checked) store draft messages on the server, Notes (checked) show not in Inbox, Sent (checked) Store sent messages on the server Delete sent messages when (option never selected), Junt (not checked) store junk messages on the server Delete junk messages when (option never selected), Trash (checked) moves deleted messages to the Trash mailbox and (checked) store deleted messages on the server Permanently erase deleted messages when (one month old option selected).
I have not set up any rules that I know of other than a signature, in the very least I have not changed any.

Yesterday I upgraded my MacBook Pro 13" (Early 2013) to 10.10.3. I immediately started having problems with it opening apps slowly. So I read and discovered it had replaced some of my apps with newer versions. I also restarted it 2 or 3 times. That seemed to solve that problem. This morning I get on and it is doing the same thing, but it is limited to the Calendar. Anything I try to do in the Calendar gets me the spinning beachball, from opening it to editing to adding an event. I have many dates and events saved that I don't want to lose. Am I going to have to reinstall the Calendar? If so, how can I do it without losing my content?

I did not have a specific category that said "log list" once I got to "All Messages". It just showed "Log" so that is what I am sending you. The other thing is that the timestamp is 9:23:?? the next is 9:34:?? and the problem occurred at 9:32:??. So you are getting the log from 9:23 until it repeats.

My early 2010 mac mini has been running really slowly on my network. My late 2008 Macbook Pro runs much faster despite being an older computer. The Mac Mini really doesn't have much on it and almost all of its storage space is there. It downloads at about one third of the speed as my Macbook Pro. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have an iPod touch that I often use to manage different events for work. I have been able to sync the events on my calendar from my MacBook Pro to the iPod touch successfully using wifi. What I really need to do though is sync my iPod calendar events to my MacBook Pro calendar. Is this possible? How do I set this up? It would be a huge help if I could transfer the events on my iPod calendar to my computers calendar. I currently have the wifi sync option on and have turned on the sync calendars option in iTunes. Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

As to the wrong artwork - are you using iTunes Match? Music downloaded from iCloud may occasionally show the original artwork of the matched song, and not the artwork you assigned to the album.
