Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Hello to all, with my iphone 3g can not connect to home network via wifi. This only happens if I apply protection to the network. Unprotected my Iphone connects fine. Obviously the password to write error-free. I can not figure out what depends on this factor, however, another iphone connects fine. Help me please.

I can't in-game purchase the Mighty Eagle (same error popup as you) in the latest update of Angry Birds Seasons, either. I also upgraded the App tonight. If yes, then I would suggest that you turn off your wireless router for 10+ seconds. Power it back on and see if the iPhone 3G works to connect to the network
If no, then you could have some faulty hardware in the iPhone. Try to turn the iPhone off, and then on again as well as the wifi setting on the iPhone. If it still doesn't work then try to reset first, followed by a restore from a backup, and then restore the iPhone as set up as a new iPhone. If after all that it still doesn't work then it probably is a hardware issue

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Hi, I have an iPhone 3 and it has the problem that whenever I want to connect to a new wifi point access I introduce the correct password and the device says "It is not possible to connect to "NETNAME"" though my iPhone is near to the point access router, it is so near that I even put the device next to the router. This problem didn't happen before, I was able to connect for example to my university's wifi or office's wifi. They changed their nets, so I had to connect again for the first time and then it would be automatic to connect, but I can not connect for that first time, although the net is similar to the mentioned before. What can be the problem? PD: I can connect to my house wifi's but my device has to be really near to the router, its signal caption is really poor.

IPhone 3 G can only connect to Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g.
Maybe because of that since you have no problem connecting to your home wi-fi.

I have iPhone 4s running 6.1.2 Everything worked great before the lovely update. My wifi did the same thing that everyone else's seems to be doing. It would not recognize my home router.
Evidently, in the update, Apple changed how the "Ask to Join Networks" button operates. Previously, I didn't have to have the button toggled to on, my phone would just automatically lock onto my router. I have fought and fought with this update. I have done several "network settings resets". I have even restored my phone twice. I have tried every crackpot, and not so crackpot, suggestion on these forums and NOTHING has worked. I could go to settings and connect to the router each time I used the phone, but it would only stay connected for a few minutes.
Today, I toggled the "Ask to Join Networks" button to "on", then opened Safari. My phone then asked if I wanted to join the network, I responded with "join". My phone has been on wifi all day! I left home and came back several hours later, and FINALLY... my phone locks on automatically.
Go to settings>, Wi-Fi>, toggle "Ask to Join Networks" button to "on". Then click on your router/network in the list.
I realize that everyone's problems are not the exact problems I had, but maybe this will help some of you having problems.

Power cycle the router.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
