  • Disable Auto Recharge from Skype

    Hi Team,
I have already subscribed for three months unlimited plans, I found my auto recharge was active.
So I wanted to disable auto recharge automatically 10 Euro has been deducted from my credit card.. Please revert that money to my account ASAP.

Hello, the Auto-Recharge was added to my one time 5EUR credit payed against my will and without my consent. I explicitly didn't want to put my bank account at risk by having this Auto-recharg option which allows unlimited calls to hackers who might hack my Skype account and I want to  disable auto-recharge before I have any such problem.
Pls I need the e-mail contact to Skype people in charge as I do not want to spend money
calling them from Europe by phone and please where Ikype membership as I ado not want to risk any further with such organization. Please give me some real contact address.
Thank you for your help in advance. Best regards, Dom

  • Why i can't disable the stupid autocorrect in safari !?

I know it's in french but as you can see I can't disable the auto-correct. Why the ****?
    I'm running Mavericks

    1: Go to System Preferences
    2: Select "Keyboard"
    3: Go second tab "Text"
4: At the right side should have an option with a checkbox "Correct Spelling Automatically"
5: Untick it, and you are good to go.
This changed the whole system's auto correct functionality, like: Safari, Notes, Messages. But not the iWorks and Microsoft Office. As far as I know.

  • Unable to disable auto-recharge

I can see the Disable button for the auto-recharge option, but nothing happens when I click it. The option stays enabled.

Try another web browser or computer.  I was able to disable mine without issue (as well as re-enable it).  This is how it should appear:

  • Disable Auto-recharge for ever

    hi
I'm angry because Skype enables by default Auto-recharge.
This is the third time I have to go login into my account and disable it.
    Skype guys:
Please, please, please, please read carefully, "UNCHECK" Auto-recharge option when buying more Skype credit. I "DO NOT" want auto-recharge my account.
I expect it's clear to you.
and pleadse refund my remaing balance to credit card which is connected to my account
    Thank you!

I have had this problem for many YEARS.  Before Microsoft bought Skype I had this problem and it annoyed me so much that I sent an e-mail directly to the previous owbers saying that I was going lawyer up becuase it is a blantant misuse of my personal details (basically a credit card scam). After that it was turned off, however it is now turned back on. The only way that I seem to get around it is by deleting my cc details, unless of course you are buying through paypal then skype will pull your details back off paypal and then recheck the auto-recharge and thats after you disable it.
This little feature is extremenly unfair and probably sue-worthy. If there are enough people frustrated about perhaps we can write to a newspaper saying how skype basically scams you credit card? I vote  for the boston globe.

  • How can I disable auto-switching desktops?

I've long appreciated the spaces/mission control feature of OS X. However, it seems more oriented to organizing desktops by application rather than by project.
Like many users, I suspect, I use different desktops for different projects, each of which requires a variety of applications (finder, word docs, spreadsheets, etc). When I'm working on project 1 in desktop 1, I never want to be whisked away to desktop 2. In fact, I never want to be switched to a different desktop automatically. If I click on an application, I want it to open a new window for that application. If a new iteration of an app can't be opened (ie, Mail), I'd like it to pull Mail to me rather than send me off to it. Aren't apps supposed to come when we call, not the other way around?
I have unchecked "...switch to a space with open windows of that application" in System Prefences, but my desktop continues to auto-switch, especially with Finder.
In short: is there a way disable auto-switching entirely? I'd like to be able to assign windows and navigate manually without being constantly pulled away from the project I'm working on.
Thanks for the help; I really appreciate people spending their time helping others on forums like this one.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode.  Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

  • Can I disable auto-sync on Shuffel iTunes 7.3 Vista OS

It seems odd that everytime I make a change to a single song on my iPod, iTunes performs a sync.
For example, I want to uncheck several songs loaded on my shuffel, but iTunes performs a sync after each time I de-select a check-box.
Can I disable automatic syncing after each change to a song or podcast on my shuffel?
    Thanks

Sorry, I have no constructive advice.  Just poking fun.
No problem, you actually made me laugh out loud, so thanks for that.

  • How can I disable auto-saving for Adobe CC?

  • How can I disable auto-update/save when editing a Bump/Specular/Normal map in 3D?

Im working on a rather large comp, and while triyng to paint on my bump material PSB, the auto-save/update feature is really making the process painstakingly antagonizing. Is there any way to disable this? Note, I am not referring to the general auto-save, this is only in regards to 3D material editing.

If you do not like a feature like smart objects there is nothing forcing you to use it. Use some other features to do what you want. Please don't ask Adobe to introduce bug into smart object support.
You could work on your bump maps textures in external files. When your done some time in the future you could edit your project with the smart object layer and use replace smart object. Only then will all smart filters be applied to the smart layer with the replaced smart object.
Or if by CC Auto save Layer you referring to CC Generate feature you can disable that feature.
I have no idea what your referring to when you write "CC auto-saves the layer" being a feature. I know CC Generate will write layers out as web files but that more a Web feature then a 3d feature.  Where do you see your layer being saved?

  • Can't disable auto screen brightness on M92z even after using power manager

I find the auto screen brightness annoying and have been trying to disable it.  When I go into power manager and turn off "auto" it works, but once I reboot, it's back on again.
I've gone into the sensor section of power manager and disabled the sensor but that too does not stick.  I've also checked that "magic brightness" setting as well.  Nothing seems to stick after a reboot.  Things work until I reboot.
I have installed the latest power manager, but 2 things seem strange.  website says latest version is 3.40.0002 but when download and install that version it reports 3.40.0001 (notice the 1 vs the 2).  Also in control panel it says power manager 32 bit but my OS is Windows 7 64 bit.
    Roveer

Alright, so this is ridiculous. Back to square one with nothing booting. I managed to get it booted up once fully, and another time booted off the OS10.3 disc (froze during disk repair in Disk Utility).
I don't have another hard drive to try, and I've taken it apart and reset everything.
    Any ideas?

  • Can't disable auto synch in iTunes

    Hi,
I apologise if this question has been answered before, but I am having a problem with my 5th Generation 80G iPod.
    I am running *iTunes 10.1.0.54*
I am sick and tired of my iPod synching every time I put it in its docking bay (iWantIT brand). Mostly, I simply want to charge the ipod, or play its music through my PC speakers +without running iTunes+, which slows my computer down.
I have ticked the box in Preferences which says *"Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from synching automatically."*
But when I put the iPod in the cradle, it says *"Do not disconnect."* and a *Windows Explorer* page pops up, showing my iPod contents. It proceeds to sit there indefinitely until, in desperation, I go into *My Computer* and Eject the drive. Only then can I play my iPod through my dock and into the speakers.
It is driving me CRAZY! I have disabled everything "Apple" in the MSConfig, and it still says, *"Do not disconnect."*
    Can anybody please help? :O/

I should add that, when I put the iPod in the dock, iTunes DOESN'T actually launch. So my iPod would sit there until the cows come home, doing nothing.
In the iPod controls, accessed through iTunes, all these options are UNCHECKED:
[ ] Open iTunes when this iPod is connected
[ ] Synch only ticked songs and videos
[ ] Convert higher bit rate songs to 128kbps AAC
[ ] Maunally manage music and videos
    [ ] Enable disk use
But it still says, "Do not disconnect" when I put it on the dock.
And the Explorer window still launches.
    Grrrrr.

  • Can I disable auto correct for space only?

A few iOS updates ago Apple changed auto correct behavior to replace letters on the bottom row with space when it sees fit. That makes it an absolute pain to use when typing in Swedish as many words are created by concatenating words without any space in between. Therefore I want to disable that feature of auto correct but use it for other cases. Is that possible? If not, Apple, please change it back! At least for Swedish (and other relevant languages).

    Not possble.

  • How can i disable auto playback when importing music files in itunes 10?

when i downlaod music files that get imported to itunes it automatically plays the music in the background which interupts what i am currently listening to. how can this feature be disabled as it was possible in the past. i have a macbook air and running iTunes 10.

I am having this same issue when downloading audiobooks from Audible.
After the download completes in Safari, it imports into iTunes which automatically starts to play the file.
Damned inconvinent when I am downloading multiple books for work and I am away from my Mac doing other stuff. I have to return to the Mac to manually stop the book each time.
