Why I can't watch any video on Apple official website?

Why I can't watch any video on Apple official website? Everytime I open it it's only a blank frame. I have already downloaded QuickTime several times, it's a windows8.1 PC.

I am new to Ubuntu, but I see videos ok. Firefox may play some natively but I also have FlashPlayer installed. IIRC FlashPlayer is not on the original Ubuntu 11.10 CD but has to be installed as a separate Firefox plugin. From your system information aside it appears you do already have FlashPlayer installed.
* Have you got FlashPlayer enabled currently ?
* I Note you have [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DivX Div X] installed, which is not something I know about, but could that be interfering with some videos, have you tried disabling Div X.

Did you ever figure out how to get them back? The same thing happened to me yesterday. I was able to open the file in VLC media player (you can download this app), but the file had been corrupted. It was only the last clip I had recorded, all the others were lost. Even the clip that will play is messed up

Hai, I've already installed the latest version of flash player. But why i can't watch any video on youtube? I've deleted all flash player browsing data and remove file player cache but it still won't work. Please somebody help me. Can't watch video in youtube is like a hell. Thank you.

Thanks, that was very helpful. Unfortunately, I don't believe that Flash Player is even being loaded. If it was a case of Flash Player just displaying a black screen without video, you would have seen a Flash Player context menu.
Can you try the same URL with another browser to see if the player loads there?

I do not know how to do this with an Apple TV (I don't have one), but as far as I know Apple TV only does mirroring.
If you have an HDMI cable long enough to reach your TV from where you sit, then it's easy. The TV could be set up in Extended Desktop mode (mirroring off) as if it was simply another computer monitor, and then you could just drag windows to it. If you have the Displays icon in your menu bar, that's where the setting is, or if the icon is not there, then the setting is in the Displays system preference. But again, that's for conventionally connected monitors, not Apple TV. If you don't have an HDMI cable and wanted a long one that's affordable you can get those at monoprice.com.
The answer we are still waiting for is if anyone knows if Apple TV can be used in extended desktop (non-mirroring) mode.

I have no sound even though the volume is turned to max. I cannot watch any videos on face book or YouTube. Games are running very slow. I've tried updating but it says software is up to date.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Can't watch any video on my Curve 8530!

I've looked around recently to try to find an answer to why my BlackBerry Curve 8530 will not play videos, and nothing I've read seems to work. When try to play a YouTube video, one of the following 3 errors occurs:
1) "The device media processor is busy."
2) "An error has occured attempting to play media."
3) The screen changes from different shades of black, and no media plays.
I have no idea what is going on, and would like any advice that could be given!

I had the same problem.. they cure was to back up all data and 3rd party applications FIRST!
then i did a System wipe and reinstalled everything.. now i can watch all video from sites such as youtube etc without a hitch.
it is extreme but it was the only thing that worked for me.. there is information out there on backing up the 3rd party apps using BB manager/desktop

My iPhone 4S sound won't work. I can't watch any videos or listen to music directly off my phone. It only plays with plugged into to auxiliary cord. Although, the ringtone and my alarm works, I can't change how loud either is.

I have an iPhone 4S. My ringtone and alarm will work, on occasion my texting alert will too. Although, I can't control how loud I want any of these things anymore. Other than that, my slide to unlock sound does not work, neither does the click sounds when texting. I have checked to make sure these are all on and enabled in settings. My phone will not play music and I cannot hear any videos either unless it is plugged into an auxiliary cord and played through a stereo. I dropped it in the snow once, could this be why? Your phone still thinks it is plugged into the stereo. I don't remember how to solve this but perhaps you can search through the forum or maybe one of the members here will jump in on how to switch the playback to speakers.

What site has the videos? If it's Flash you're trying to install, you should oist your question to the Flash forum

i need help, i cant see the videos on the apple website and some others. I can hear the sound of the video but the video seems all black nd i cant see it. I was watching some other videos that needed a program called DivX, i first thought it was because of that but then i unistalled it but it still doesnt work. Hope anyone can help me

I had the same problem... very simple to solve...
With Safari open, click "SAFARI" on the top bar, scroll down and click "PREFERENCES"...
With Preferences open, mouse over to "EXTENSIONS" and click to move the slider to turn off extensions created by third-party developers...
That's all I did and when I tried to open the videos on Apple's site everything worked normally again...

I can't watch ANY videos.

Wether it be youtube or the videos in my iTunes, I cannot view any. If I am on youtube the video shows a black screen with no option to play or anything. The same is true for my movies in iTunes. When I click on the movie, it goes to full screen and is just a black screen with no option to play, pause, adjust the sound, or anything. I have downloaded the latest version of flash to no avail. This just began happening this morning. I am running Mac OS X version 10.7.5 and primarily use firefox. Although, safari has the same issue. I've done all of the troublshooting I can and now I need help.

It is a good idea to first uninstall all previous versions of flash prior to installing the latest version by using Adobe's flash uninstaller - Flash Player Uninstaller. After installing the latest version, you must repair permissions and restart your computer.

The only problem I have had is upon clicking any YouTube video, the box pops up saying "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program." But there are no directions or suggestions on how to address this problem. Ive looked at YouTube add-ons and none of them really seem related. Upon the finish of the new Mozilla, I also was prompted to upgrade the flash player, and did so without any trouble. I am only guessing this is an extension/plug-in problem. I really am quite confused!

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

OK I don't know but the latest version of flash player really frustrated me. I don't like Chrome been my entire life Firefox user, but I will have to switch over since I can't stand adobe flash plugin. I uninstalled it and after reboot Firefox automatically plays videos in youtube but does not do the same thing in dailymotion or vimeo or other websites. Is there a solution? Please help me i like Firefox a whole lot.

Hi Raynover, was this with the Flash plugin or with native HTML5 video support? I think plugins have always captured keyboard input once you activate them, but I haven't tested with native HTML5 video.
