Why I cannot open a link in a new tab, since I upgraded firefox to the latest version ?

I can't open a google search option in a new tab, since I upgraded Firefox to version 33.0. I also cannot downgrade firefox, to solve this problem.

Cannot open grooveshark due to a supposed problem loading flash. (I have the latest version of both (Mozilla and Flash)

Everything with firefox works ok except Grooveshark. An error message appears saying: We had problems loading flash, you might have any blocker etc etc.
I don´t have any blocker and as a matter of fact i have the latest versions for both mozilla and flash. Neither version of flash test nor reinstallation process nor checking add ons or firewall settings solved my problem.

To double-check your Flash permissions for the site, you can click the globe or padlock icon to the left of the address, click More Information, then click the Permissions tab. The "Activate Plugins" section would be the one to check.
I understand you have checked your add-ons, but in case there is an unexpected interaction, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode just to confirm that extensions are not the problem? The only way I can open a link in a new tab is if I right click a link and select "open in a new tab" in the dropdown menu, but ctrl + click is so much easier and faster. Any clue how to fix this?

Some other users have fingered the Ask toolbar as the cause of this problem. You can try disabling or removing it here:

I want links in web pages to open in the current tab so I have browser.link.open_newwindow=1. But how do I make links from extenal applications open in a new tab?

Try setting the following to 3, not really sure if preference was actually removed or just won't accept 2, the intent was that the two variables be the same (I think)

* 3 (default in Firefox): Opens external links in a new tab in the most recent window
* 1 (or anything else): Opens external links in current window

I've verified that:
- browser.tabs.loadInBackground: False
- browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground: True
- "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is enabled in the UI.
It seems only some websites actually switch to the new tab. Also, sometimes, this feature will stop working all together; requiring me to toggle the Firefox UI setting and/or restart firefox.

I had the same problem. If you're running Greasemonkey, you need to update it. There's a conflict between Greasemonkey 0.9.10 and Tab Mix Plus on Firefox 6.0.2. Until the add-ons site approves Greasemonkey 0.9.11, you'll have to install it manually.

The ctrl+click method of opening a link in a new tab has changed to opening in a new window. How do I open in a new tab with a hotkey/change the hotkey back?

This is consistent and started with the beta.

I have no problem with {Ctrl + Click} opening a link in a new Tab in 4.0b9. And {Shft + Click} still opens a link in a new Window.

How did you try to install ACR 8.8. The only way I know of that works with Elements is to use the Updates Choice on the Help menu.

In your case, the Nikon D810 needs Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.6 or Lightroom 5.6. (Congratulations on buying a new camera!)
To get to that level with Photoshop Elements, you will need to replace your Photoshop Elements 12 with version 13. Adobe caps ACR updates on version 12 at 8.5.
The most convenient way to get around it without spending any money is to use the FREE from Adobe DNG Converter. Download and install it from here for FREE: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5855&fileID=5890 Once it is installed you can convert your D810 raw files to an Adobe RAW version with the .DNG file extension that most, if not all, versions of the various Adobe software programs can use. DNG converter can be used as the tool to move your files from your memory card to your computer, is efficient, will convert in batches and is completely lossless. There is no risk of any image quality degradation or RAW functionality.
