We are fellow users, we won't know why. You've checked the spam folder as well as the inbox on your email account, and if you have a rescue email address on your account then you've checked that email account as well ? If you still can't find it then try requesting the reset email again
If re-requesting it doesn't get it either then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset it for you.

    Hi wondering if anyone could help. About 3 weeks ago I received an email from apple that my apple ID was used to download an app that was not from the device which is normally used. This was initiated from the United States, I am in n.ireland. As this was not me I followed the instructions & changed my password. However the past 2 days I have received 7 emails from apple on how to reset my apple ID that I did not initiate & am concerned that someone is trying to get access to my apple account.     That's very scary. They might do it, but I personally have never had Apple contact me re id's except on their site when signing in. I suggest you DO NOT respond until you have a phone conversation with Apple security. They can verify if they sent you the e-mail and why.
    While it's very possible it's true,again, I suggest you not respond until you speak to someone at Apple. I've often read here that when people sign in they are not allowed to because "someone else has used the id" type of statement.
    Also, you should be able to go to the app store and see what apps you have downloaded.
    Though it could have been a free app, have you checked to see if any were bought with your id account?
    I've gotten these types of e-mails from places like USPS and FedEx which look amazingly authentic and were from their website. I also received an odd e-mail from my cousin in Ireland last year that clearly was not from him. It was also sent to others in his family in Ireland. I e-mailed him that I only opened it because it had a .ie, but suggested he change... Days later I received mail from 'him' - same name, but at yahoo.com. 
    Again, I would call Apple. You can also report it at [email protected], but I would not settle for that given your situation. If nothing else, call Apple sales (sales depts. anywhere answer fast) and ask them to transfer you to security. Apple will not want anybody accessing their name, and while it's unlikely, it's not impossible that it is someone phishing.

    Hi everybody, I already apologize if this isn't the right community for my problem.This whole thing is very confusing  so I really hope someone can help me
    I used Gmail as my official email account and it was also the Email address for my Apple-ID (for many, many years..)
    Strangely, a few months ago, I got an Email from Apple saying that my Apple-ID was being used for Imessage and Facetime on other devices (in Turkey?). I googled it and found out that it might be a fishing mail so I quickly changed my password and also the Email-adress for my Apple.ID – which means that the Gmail-account was not longer in use for Apple anymore.
    But here's the problem :  I still get Emails from Apple (in Turkish) from time to time to my Gmail- account. They don't seem to be fishing Emails, though.  Another odd thing about that is, that the mails I receive at Gmail don't seem to be addressed to my CORRECT email-address.
    While my adress looks like „[email protected]“ the Itunes mails I receive are addressed to '[email protected]“ .  I hope you know what I mean. There is no point between the names in my real address.
    What could this be and how can I solve this problem ? It's really freaking me out.

    I am however confused as for one. Im not French and two. I did not request to reset my ID? Any thoughts?

    If yes do nothing.
    If it is not working follow THE APPLE PAGE YOU OPEN YOURSELF TO ENTER YOUR ID SETTINGS and ask for a password change.
    Do not click to the link on this mail.
    If you wish just go with mouse on the link DO NOT CLICK and take note of the actual URL which will happen.

    Today, I was checking a video with the new apps Youtube after using the iOS6...
    I saw then now, only the audio was transfering to my apple tv... without any video...
    before, when i was on Youtube, with my Iphone 4, I was able to put the video on my tv with my apple tv...
    What happened now?
    I have only the audio part.. and the video still on the iphone?

    I have precisely the same issue. iPhone 4, iOS 6 update, downloaded YouTube app streams only audio through Apple TV. Saw in another post that there are Apple TV settings in iOS 6 that are visible only when in range of an Apple TV, on the search screen to the left of the first home screen. Haven't been able to try it yet, so I don't know if it helps.

  • Sub-account cannot send email from Apple Mail

    I've tried setting up two sub-accounts to send/receive email but no matter what I try, these accounts error out on sending email.  Looks like they aren't recognized by smtp server.  Is there a different setting for sub-accounts?

    I fixed my problem - I deleted my email account on my iPhone, then tried to setup a new account. I had a few problems setting it up. It wouldn't recognize the incoming or outgoing servers and I lost my email altogether for a few hours. Then I changed every setting possible and finally figured out that I had 2-3 "Other SMTP Servers" as well as my "Primary Server". Once I deleted the Other SMTP Servers, my email worked and i'm able to send emails now!
    I also think changing the "Server Port" number helped solve my problem also, and making sure "Use SSL" was turned off.

    I hadn't requested help. Also just had first (yet) kernel panic. Should I be worried? Apologies if covered elsewhere. I've tried to look at previous answers.
    I'm running OS 10.6.8 on an 2 GHz Intel Core Duo iMac if relevant. Nothing special in apps.

    not sure what your question is, bu it sounds like a phishing scam, where someone is trying to trick you into submitting your password to them.

    I have been having the same problems for the last two days now.  It won't let me send, but it will let me save it to my drafts folder.  I even tried opening the e-mail form my iPhone 5 and it won't let me send it there either.  The last two times i ended up copying the contents from my failed e-mail on my phone and pasting that into a new e-mail and that works.  I normally use the icloud web app to reply to e-mails when i'm at work (using win 7) and it is very frustrating.
