Why I have lost ALL my contacts without any reason?
Someone help me! My iPhone 4S was charging when i look at the contacts and there wasn't any one.
I have backed up to the cloud. I did a restore, but it only gave me a few of the contacts back. Maybe an earlier restore point???

I say try and go settings/mail,contacts,calendar/import sim contacts and hope they come back..
also you could try and restore your phone from the previous back up you done, before you plug your phone in copy your previous back-up onto your desktop so you dont lose it, then try restore your phone from that.

This might be because that your game update or other software automatic update killed your contacts. You should make a frequency and regular backup for your iPhone so that all the data could be renewed to your backup data. Whenever you lost iPhone data, you have a choice to restore from iTunes. i have lost all my contacts can someone please tell me how to get them back. They have dissapered off my iphone and they are not on my icloud contacts either, dont know where they could have gone??? Please help.

i download the sofware update on to my pc and the next thing i know all my contacts are gone, the only things that have come up on the icloud CONTACTS app is the service call numbers thats it, i have no idea what to do.. i have itunes on my desktop and i looked for them there but i still cant find them, i dont have outlook i have VISTA so its hard for me to look for my contacts.
im worried that ive lost them. if anyone has some advice please let me know, im new to this and im having trouble understanding it. Thanks -

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

All media should be in iTunes on the computer, simply sync it back.

Restore them from your most recent backup, and/or re-sync via iTunes.

i updated my phone and have lost all my contacts i have restored and all my apps are back but no contacts! help!
What application were you syncing your contact to before you updated? Check the settings on the info tab and sync them back.
If you were NOT syncing them to an application (Outlook or Windows Address Book on a PC, Address Book on a Mac), you can try forcing a restore from your backup again. If they don't come back, they are most likely gone. -

Everything is Sorted!
The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
Look in to, and take the gamble, it's up to you. -
