If nothing else changed as far as your provider, your location, your network and security settings ... it has to be a network problem that will resolve itself (when your provider's network is restored) - or - your provider may have implemented new rules to send email.
In an effort to combat spam, port 25 is now blocked by many internet service providers.
Check with them whether they switched to 465 or 587 and which other settings you need to apply.

Don't count on your ISP walking you through the settings change, though as Macs are more common now, many are catching on to supporting Macs as well.

Okay, so i've tried to download it multiple times with multiple "solutions" but none have worked! I'm starting to get SO mad.. and aggravated. I just want this stupid update to update! Everytime it goes to finish it says error, network connection has timed out please check your connection and try again later. My connection is perfectly fine! I've disabled my anti virus and firewall while trying to update too.. no luck. I even downloaded the ios 5 manually from a site, but i dont know how to use that as my download. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. Can you check the Object Security for the Analysis Menu and Export button and see if it is restricted?

Try the following steps:
1. Check windows updates.
2. Try the Microsoft Fix it in this kb to remove previous install completely:

3. Reboot.
4. Try installing again.

Here are troubleshooting steps that should help you fix the problem.
1) Quit App Store in multi-tasking.
2) Tap Settings.
3) Tap Safari.
4) Tap Clear History.
5) Tap the Clear History button.
6) Tap Clear Cookies and Data.
7) Tap the Clear Cookies and Data button.
Try purchasing an app again from the device to get the security question prompt. You really need to set up the security question.

Was it setup via wifi?
Setup via iTunes when connected to this coputer/iTunes library?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
