Why importing photo to Blank Pages is resized?

Hi!
On one of the pages in a Large Softcover book, I changed 'Layout' to Blank, so photo will cover entire page.
When importing the photo, it only provided framed photo, with captions below the photo.

Does Aperture now import the original versions as referenced instead of managed?
What happens, if you select the newly imported images in the Browser and then try to consolidate them using "File > Consolidate Originals"? Does Aperture then turn your files into managed originals, or is there a general problem? Can you import your images correctly, if you create a new, empty Aperture library and import into this library?
If you can import into a new library correctly, I'd recommend to repair your current Aperture library and to repair the permissions, see: Repairing and Rebuilding your Aperture Library
But if you cannot import into another library either, try, if removing the Aperture user preferences will help, see Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics
What is the Aperture version you are using, and what version of MacOS do you have? Is your library on your system drive or on an external drive?

Why I get a blank page?

The problem solved!I change the "execute" method to "perform" method in my "LogonAction".It worked
as I expected.But I can't really know Why.I use struts1.0.Does struts1.1 has the "perform" method only?
I think "struts1.0" use the "execute" method in Action.:( Anyone can give me some idea?

Imported file creating blank page

I have a file of boilerplate text. My current document imports this (as a referenced file). The boilerplate file concludes with a table and then a single blank line using the Normal paragraph style. It all looks just fine in the boilerplate file.
However, in my document file, there's an extra blank page and I cannot delete. When I try to delete it, I get an error: "Cannot delete pages. They contain imported text that extends outside the page range you are deleting. Convert the text insets to text and try again."
Any suggestions?

I do not have pagination set to "make page count even" and I was importing into a paragraph of style "normal." However, you gave me an idea. I did some experimentation and this seems to fix it:
1. Open the file to be inserted. It should end with an empty paragraph, with font size of 2. Save & close.
2. Delete the inserted file from the chapter or document file.
3. If the extra blank page is still present, delete it.
4. Create a an empty paragraph where the inserted file will go, with font size of 2.
5. Put the cursor on the new empty paragraph and insert the file.
6. Refresh all references.
I know it seems convoluted, but it does appear to be working.

This is with very latest iOS7.0.4 and Canon MG5550 printer (with freshly updated firmware). Happens both with iPhone and iPad printing from "Photos" app.

Imported photos go blank upon rendering complete

This is my first attempt at Imovie. I was able to sucessfully import and edit Hi8 video via a Canopus firewire unit. I am trying to add photos and other artwork to make titles, cast of characters and so on. Typically I use Photoshop to cut and paste photos and text. The same thing happens if I drag these files to the clips or to the timeline: desired result appears for a while but when the red rendering line is complete, clip goes white. It does not matter if it is Photoshop format or JPEG. Per the Help, I used Photoshop and then Preview to convert Photoshop files to JPEG. Even importing Iphoto files give the same result. Nothing seems to work. No error messages or hang-ups. I am looking to see if there is a log or console message that may apply but so far, nothing found. Do I have to create the stills at a certain resolution? Am I missing something else? I'll be gratefull for comments and suggestions. Thanks.

effects, but it took some time to figure out how. I
think my problem is my old machine, an early G4. I
get a message that my video card may not support Ken
Burns effects when I start Imovie. It's odd, because
they work fine in Iphoto.
I'm in the same exact boat, but you didn't explain how to turn off the Ken Burns effect. I remember using that effect in an earlier version, but I don't even see it here. Can anyone explain step for step how to turn it off? It would be much appreciated.

Import photos Preview Blank

Assuming that your camera is supported by LR (see the list of supported cameras on the LR website), the probability is that your camera does not use embeded j-peg images which is what LR looks for and decodes when using the Import Preview function. To test for this, import an image that you already have on your hard drive with the preview box checked. You should see a preview image in the preview mode.

Why Contribute is publishing blank pages

Hi,
Sorry, I could not formulate the topic very well, but this is what happens. First off, I have been using Contribute since 2004. Very recently I ran into a very peculiar problem. After editing a page, and hitting publish, the page is wiped blank. The file size shows 0 bytes and everything is lost. This happens with all pages, new and old. Save and Save for later work fine, it is the publish that is not working anymore.
Currently I am using version 6.1 on OS X 10.7.5
I am getting desperate with this. I had to resort to very old Contribute version running on XP in order to get things done.
Anyone else experienced something similar? Any ideas how to figure out the cause? Better yet, ideas how to fix the problem?

The same s**t continues. I can not create and publish a new page or edit an old one with version 6.1. I can save them and return to edit, but as soon as I hit publish the content is lost and the file is absolutely empty. 0 bytes. This is driving me up the walls. I just can not figure out what causes this. Using older version (Windows), everything works fine. And Adobe Help... as usually... forget about it.
Can anyone recommend an alternative for Contribute, that would work well with Dreamweaver?

time, I'm looking at substitutes for Contribute
I have reported the bug 2 times so far to Adobe, they have not responded.
Also I have been trying figure out what is happening to the file and looking
at file properties/attributes on the server, but nothing. Have not been able
get any kind of hint of what is going on.
I can save and save for later without any problems, but as soon as I hit
publish it's gone.

I managed to get my message through to Adobe Support by using a "backdoor" approach. This paid off. The contacted me asking "have you tried booting your computer" - level questions. I patiently explained the situation again. Well guys 'n' gals, let's see how situation evolves. Over and out

IPhoto ocassionally imports photos as blank.

With a Sony DSC-WX150, for the first time, (ie this hasn't happened before), iPhoto imported about 25 of 107 photos as black images rather than the photo itself.
I followed the suggestion in:

and I was able to work around the problem, but this cannot be considered a long term solution.
I'm using iPhoto11 (9.2.3) on OSX 10.7.4 on a computer that is 3 months old.
Is there some setting on the camera I can change that will help me avoid this problem?

Which I tried, and it seems to work.
Basically,
-- select all the black photos after importing them
-- rotate them with command-R
-- revert to original photo
There is some EXTF information that seems to be changed when you do this. No one has yet fitured out what that is. Most were complaining this error was new to iPhoto 9.3, but I am using 9.2.3.

Imported photo in wallpaper unable to be resized

To me the opening post sounds rather like Susie does external editing in "Nik software" triggered from within LR, like you would do e.g. with Photoshop. She might hit "save" in this external editing program and expect to have a 2nd file inside LR.
Sometimes I do not find such a picture upon return, because LR might have sorted it to the bottom due to changed file date (my usual sorting order is by capture date).
Or the external software does a "save as" and assign a new file name, in which case LR cannot auto-import it into its catalog.
The software "Portrait Professional" does the same on my computer by default, so I have always to take care that I actually save over LR's exported version.

Firefox will show PDF's but prints blank pages. Other browsers are fine, safe mode has no effect.

Currently on an HP laptop, Win8, printing to a HP Color Laser, no previous problems; all of a sudden, PDF's are printing blank pages. I can see the page fine. Safe mode without any addons has no change. I printed my taxes out and had no problems.
I've used IE (shudder) an been able to print PDF's fine. I have no PDF software itself on the computer, just using the browsers native support. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Searching shows problems loading PDF's, but my problem is printing PDF's. Using version 29 of Firefox. Anyone got any tips or clues how to hunt this down? Really close to introducing my computer to Mr. sledgehammer.

Thanks, appreciate the links for PDF driver add ons, this will be my last resort if nobody else can figure it out. I don't use Acrobat because of all their bloatware and hidden installs. I still would like to know why Firefox started printing blank pages in PDF's, but can still open the PDF's, very frustrating. Seems like a few other people are having the issue as well.

Mac to iPad Import Photos takes up memory of Mac

Every time I try to import photos from my Macbook through selecting the import folder in iTunes, it automatically takes up the memory of my Macbook. I am confuse on why importing photos from a folder through iTunes to an iPad takes up the memory of the macbook. This is a huge problem because my mac does not have a lot of memory left and memory comes as a luxury to me. I was wondering where I can delete the photo files that iTunes may have double copied(?) TS3989 Imported photo's from camera to iPad 4 don't appear in photo stream

Hi all,
Does someone know why imported photo's (jpg-format) from a digital photo camera don't appear in my photo stream and are only stored locally on my iPad 4? When I however make a photo with the iPad itself, it's almost instantly added to the photo stream and also visible on my iPhone within about 10 seconds. According to the Apple support site all photo's should be uploaded to the photo stream.

I do not belive Gail was correct - according to that
"When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream."

Blank page in Safari..

Why safari just showing blank pages on this website(http://spbo.com/live.htm), but when i using explorer(windows XP) the wedsite appear like normal.
It's the Safari can't support to this website?? Why??
Is there anyone solve this promblem before?

It's not that Safari can't support the site, it's that the site is not supporting Safari.
There's nothing you can do other than contacting the site and asking them to rework the site to support Safari.

TextEdit 1.7 doesn't open with blank page - why?

Why the change, Apple, why?
I use TextEdit all the time - it's simple - I can copy and paste important web-realted writings, like the one I'm writing right now, in case the web crashes or my wifi goes out or yet another Safari bug appears. And when my writing is inspired, I can open TextEdit quickly and get the idea typed quickly - unlike other programs that take a moment to open.
But now, TextEdit has changed in OS 10.7.3, for some reason:
1. When you open the application, it reverts to whatever you were typing before, or whatever document was saved the last time you opened TextEdit. E.g., it doesn't open with a blank page. Why on earth would you change this? Now when I'm finished typing something, I have to select ALL and DELETE the work, so it doesn't distract me when I open a new document, or I want to save some completely new document. That simply adds up to more mouse-clicking in a long day.
2. There is no "save as" under File. Just "save". Again, why change this?
Apple / Mac, just ask yourselves, is this a "change", or an "improvement"?
