  • Why does adobe presenter state I need the most current version of flashplayer to view the file?

When attempting to open an adobe presenter file, I am prompted to install the required version of flashplayer.  I currently have both adobe reader 11 and adobe flashplayer 11 installed on my computer.

    Hi,
Which browser are you using?  Have you tried any other browser?  Please check in  Control Panel > Programs & Feature, the flash player installed is Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin or is it different?
If you check in Adobe Flash Player download page, different flash player is provided for IE and for other browser (chrome, firefox), this may be the reason for your issue. Please verify it.

  • Why does Adobe Premiere Elements 11 download my videos to my computer so slowly?

Hey guys, I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements 11, for quite some time, and I noticed that its download speed is as slow as a turtle. I know it is not my download speed, because when I download files from the internet, or games, it goes as fast as anything. Just so you have more information, I will tell you have my recording/uploading process goes. First, I record the video (Using Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Screen Capture). Then, I would send it to my video encoder. (Microsoft Expression Encoder 4). I would then encode the video, and send that output file to Adobe Premiere Elements 11 for further editing and to download it to my computer. Now, everything up to this point takes maybe 30 minutes. But when I get to Adobe, it takes more less 3 hours (give or take a few minutes). Finally, after all that waiting, I upload it to Youtube, which takes about an hour or so. My problem is Adobe is taking far to much time to install/download the video. And as a result of that, I can only put out about a video a day. Is there any way to speed that up, or should I just get a new editing software? All feedback, and help is greatly appreciated.

The typical ways to introduce media into Premiere Elements 11 is via AddMedia which puts the source media into Project Assets and from there you drag the contents to the Timeline Expert view edit.
    These would be your choices.
You say that you used Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 and a picture from Photoshop Elements 11.
Given that you are doing screen captures with Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 and you have a photo from Photoshop Elements 11, but how are you introducing them into Premiere Elements 11? At the same time that we are looking into the how, we need to look into the what, especially for the screen captures. The video and audio formats and file extension among other things are important to the Premiere Elements workflow.
So, again I would ask you to offer answers to what I had asked
I am assuming that you are talking about the time it takes for the video to import into Project Assets for you to drag to the Timeline. Are you observing any indexing and/or conforming going on (bar at bottom right of Expert view interface) during this 3 hour await time?
Among other things, what are you using for Add Media and to get to Project Assets? And, the usual drill, what are the properties of your source media, including size and duration, video and audio compression, file extension, etc.? By comparison what is the size and duration of those Internet games et al. that seem to be transferring to your expectations?
Is this one of those issues where "it never worked before" or "it worked before but not now" specific to Adobe files of the size and duration and properties that you are focusing on?
I see the answers to all of the above as expediting the matter to get your concerns addressed.
    Please review.
    Thank you.

  • Video playback issue for Adobe Presenter 9 when publishing to Adobe Connect Pro 7

    Hello!
I am having an issue with video playback for Adobe Presenter 9. When I preview the presentation on my computer there are no issues with any of the MP4 videos that I have loaded into my presentations. However, when I publish the presentation to Adobe Connect and access the URL the videos are either delayed or do not appear at all.  We are using our own Adobe server which we purchased in 2008, along with Adobe Connect Pro 7. We recently updated our Adobe Presenter software to version 9. Is there an incompatibility issue between Adobe Presenter 9 and our current Adobe Server/current version of Adobe Connect? Or do I need to do something different in Adobe Presenter when importing the videos?  Note: I have tried FLV videos and had the same issue.
We are trying to launch of series of webinars (each webinar has between 15-42 slides), which was the whole purpose of updating our Adobe Presenter and Adobe Captivate software....hopefully we can resolve this video issue.
    Thanks!
    Dana

Connect 7 didn't support MP4 video content, as I recall. Another issue is that Connect rooms are using Action Script 2 (AS2) while Presenter 9 uses AS3, and the two code languages don't play well together. You don't mention if you are using the meeting application to display the presentation, but it is worth mentioning. If the presentations are stand alone, then the AS3 issue should be non-existent, but the MP4 support may be.
Is there a reason you haven't updated the Connect software to Connect 9 (or at least Connect 8.1 where the Connect application became AS3 as a whole and supported MP4 content)?

  • Publishing Problems with Adobe Presenter 9

I downloaded the free trial of Adobe Presenter 9 and created a video/Powerpoint presentation.  However, when I went to "Publish" (to YouTube), it stalled at 5%.  Did I just waste many hours that I really don't want to do again?  It's an hour long presentation!  I have Windows 7 and I've updated all my drivers on my laptop but it still won't publish.  Now what?  I can't even find the file so I can try it out on another computer.

    Hello Emily,
    Greetings from Adobe.
Did you try to update the drivers from Device manager > Display Adapters ? Please try to update the drivers from Intel website using the driver version.
Also, have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Presenter  9 after updating the drivers ?

  • Adobe Presenter 9 and PowerPoint 2013 - Missing Import Audio from PowerPoint button

I am only able to intermitantly use the Import button in Adobe Presenter 9 to Import Audio from PowerPoint. Why would I be able to do it on some presentations but not all? I thought it was an audio conversion issue but even when I convert the audio (when prompted by PowerPoint) it doesn't always allow me to import it.

I have found a solution if the original PowerPoint was a ppt file, follow these steps:
File > Save As a pptx file
Close PowerPoint (this helps with not corrupting the file)
    Re-open the pptx file
    File > Convert
Save with a new file name (this helps with not corrupting the file)
You should now have the Import from Presentation button if you go to the Presenter tab and click the Import button
I have not found a solution for pptx files yet.

  • Adobe Presenter 7 and Captivate - WHY?

In the ongoing Adobe product confusion where product names
and features overlap and where product families are supposed to
complement each other we now have Adobe Presenter 7.
It looks just like captivate with two important differences
    in Presenter 7:
You lose the Captivate screen recording
You gain a slide progress pane in the presentation (not a
progress bar, it shows the slide titles vertically)
This Presenter 7 tool is billed as an import facility to
Flash enable and quiz enable PowerPoint slides.
Sounds just like Captivate and looks just like captivate with
the exception of the above items
So why bother to make another product? All they needed to do
was leave Captivate alon and then add the slide progress pane and
you have the same product with the ability to do screen recording.
Seems odd to add another product with another name to the already
bloated Adobe family of product. More unusual is the complete
overlap of features seen here. Presenter 7 seems to have some
features that might show up in the next release of Captivate, but
Presenter appears to add only the progress of the slides as a side
pane? Why bother to have two products?
It looks like the Adobe Connect Pro package includes
Presenter 7 and that makes sense, but why not just include
Captivate with Connect Pro and then add the navigation progress
pane found in Presenter. Way too much overlap of product here and
it woul dbe nice if captivate would include this one new feature
    from Presenter.
Look at it this way, Captivate is Like "Presenter Pro" and
all they need to do is add one simple navigation progress pane,
convert to the enhanced sound editing screen and presto...
But why would anyone spend the additional $500.00 for a copy
of Presenter when it is basically Captivate with one minor addition
and no screen recording? Strange product plan, very strange indeed.
    Joe C.

My goodness I logged on just to ask why Adobe had Presenter
in addition to Captivate and I found this posting that says EXACTLY
    what was on my mind.
When you consider the amount of overlap between the two
programs, it's bewildering. Anyone here from Adobe with some idea
of the reason behind making Presenter? From Adobe's presentation of
the product, Presenter basically publishes presentations, pools and
    quizzes in flash or pdf.

  • OK , I have my instructional coaches creating power point presentation add audio to each slide with the presenter 10 add ins. I need these presentation converted into MP4 like you can do with adobe presenter video creator.

Love the Adobe products first. OK , I have my instructional coaches creating power point presentation add audio to each slide with the presenter 10 add ins. I need these presentation converted into MP4 like you can do with adobe presenter video creator.

If you import the PPT deck into Captivate it will not bring the audio from Presenter. But you can import it into Captivate after the slide deck has been imported. The audio files aren't necessarily named in a logical fashion in the source files for the presentation, so I would recommend that you publish the presentation locally and then find the 'data' folder in the published output and the audio files will be named in a way that you can infer the slide they are associated with. Not the simplest proceedure but it should be pretty painless.
