Why ios6 why not android ?

Hi , I have a blackberry now but I dont want to use it anymore. I want to buy a new phone which can be iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy s3. I love Applw products a lot. I liked iPhone 5 more than Galaxy s3 but the imporant thing is galaxy has more powerful battery and you can have extra battery to replace when the battery dies. But iPhone has more useful features which are better than s3 but battery is important for me. And my big question is what is the difference that you think makes ios6 better than android? Can you please explain it to me ? I can't decide which phone I should buy.

YouTube is  not now part of iOS 6. However, you can download the YouTube app at http://itunes.apple.com/app/youtube/id544007664.

Because the iPad 2 does not have the correct hardware. The new ipad (iPad 3) has the correct hardware.

Nopes, can you link it to me ?
Few galaxies ( s2 ) have NFC chips and few not...... but now they have released galaxy S3 and that is NFC capable
Its really not possible to make a device NFC capable by upgrading software
Device needs to have NFC chip

  • Why do Apps not update after installing iOS6?  They just hang there!

WHy do apps not update after installing iOS6?

Each time? every day? Just plain crazy! Updates happen automatically on your mac....why not the same thing on ipad/iphone?
If the app was purchased on my phone with my account, surely they do not need to "verify" my credentials each time. If my phone was stolen and someone purchased a $20 app surely my $300 phone is more important?
They need to come up with e better solution...when we all have hundred or thousands of apps on our devices what then?

  • Why not Android?

Maybe it has been asked before, but why are there no apps for Android? You pay good money for this software and besides, the Android platform is now bigger than the iOS platform  (at least, in Europe it is). Should'nt they be available for both platforms?

    Hi Franck,
Thanks for the response and links. As a bit of background information, I'm semi-familiar with android app development (I'm a web designer/ developer (15+ years) and have designed for / experimented with app development over many years) so appreciate the complexities of a wider ranges of problems across multiple devices, but appreciate you mentioning it. I wouldn't have been too critical about the problem with Adobes' Android development if it wasn't for the fact that Adobe originally was the one who developed a bunch of mobile apps a few years back for Android first when there weren't any for Apple devices. Then without warning pulled the plug on them all and all of a sudden developed Apple ones without creating/ keeping Android ones. They continue to bring out new & exciting Apple Apps on a regular basis but no mention of Android, yet keep taking our CC subscription money. If they'd never tried on Android before I would sort of understand, but they already had them and pulled them from the Play store without a reason. That's very odd and seems to heavily favour Apple now with Android getting only low level Apps as a gesture.
The apps Adobe have since released, aren't exactly on the same level as the Apple ones. Most just organise or play with files already created and don't really make use of Android specific features like support for SD card. They seem less than their Apple equivalent. They are also peripheral programs, not the "main" ones. The ones that Create exciting things, not just manage them. Creative Cloud preview is really just a file viewer with some basic functionality built in, Lightroom (playing on the big product name) is an average feature photo adjuster. There are plenty of apps far, far better on the Android store that don't require an expensive CC subscription. We don't have the exciting CREATIVE and useful apps that mobile devices are great for like Adobe Shape, Brush, Color, Illustrator Draw and Illustrator Line, Premiere Clip, Voice, Photoshop Mix & Sketch (we have Photoshop Touch as a separate Paid app that emulates some of the features - I have this app). THESE are all exciting and play to the advantages of mobile devices, when you're out and about and want to capture and be creative on the go. File managers and Basic photo editors are ok to an extent but not exciting at all. If I show my clients the work I've done in the CC app, they say "can we change this" and I go, "no, sorry, its just a pretty picture, we cant do anything else with it". I want to capture, edit, create, do things mobiles want to do, not be chained to a desktop or buy an overpriced Apple device. Creative and flexible is what its all about.
I really do understand where you are coming from with your comments, Franck, and appreciate you sharing them, but yourself as an Android user, I'm sure you feel "unloved" by Adobe because of the lack of communication on why they only have Apple Apps for the above and not Android. If we understood, we might be more sympathetic. If they gave us a rough timeframe and told us they were in development, we'd appreciate its something to get excited about. Still, with Adobes resources, there shouldn't be any excuse. They have the money/ influence/ skills/ man-power to make Apps for both platforms if they really wanted to and communicate this to us.

  • Why apple is not adding tweaks like activator, volume slider in multitasking bar and a blacklist app

Why apple is not adding tweaks like activator, volume slider in multitasking bar and a blacklist app?

    But quantity is not everything.
Funny, because Windows proponents and users touted the quantity of apps available with that swiss cheese for security OS being "everything" or a big plus, but now say it isn't everything with iOS. Can't have it both ways.
At present there are about SIX blacklist apps in the OFFICIAL Apple Store which I can buy for MONEY but have NO USE AT ALL because of the APIs restrictions.
3rd party apps don't have access to private iPhone APIs for security reasons. Andrioid is following the same path as Windows. Their so called "open" OS is a swiss cheese for security mobile OS.
If this isn't acceptable to you or having an option to block unwanted calls provided by the iPhone's OS is a very important want or need, stick with an Android or Symbian device that includes the option.

why i do not have face time in my iPhone

If you still have iOS6 then there is no stand alone Facetime App.  It is integrated through the Contacts App.
If you have iOS7 it should look like this:
Make sure its not restricted and is not hidden in a folder or another screen.

  • Why does Apple not support the rSAP - Remote SIM Access Profile - for connection to car handsfree via Bluetooth

    Hello community,
I just ordered a new car and it comes with a bluetooth based handsfree installation based on rSAP (remote SIM access profile). I learned that rSAP is the ideal thing to eliminate the unwanted radiofrequency radiation (RFR) inside the car. Now while googleing I also learned that iPhone on iOS does not support rSAP.
I would like to point to the following page which shows some more detailed information on the rSAP topic:
    http://paulroberts69.wordpress.com/2011/02/28/android-2-2-and-rsap-compatibility /
I find rSAP a very usefuly thing, if it really brings the GSM radiation level down inside the car and allows the full use of all GSM functions by the rSAP premium handsfree kit built into the car. I absolutely do not understand why it is not already available with iOS.
From several web sources I understand that rSAP is available for jailbroken iPhones. That means, the chips inside the iPhone would support a rSAP service. Therefore my question: will it become available with iOS 6?
Or do all the folks at Apple drive old cars/brands and don't even think of the rSAP feature? Can we somehow start to get a hearing by the Apple developers? According to my knowledge, rSAP is implemented with all premium handsfree factory units of the VW brands - Audi, VW, Skoda ... This should make a relevant user base!
Any others with same wish and/or experiences? Comment here please!
    Regards,
    Olaf

    Hi Meg,
    could be several things:
    1. they forgot?
    2. none of their team members drives any VW branded car?
    3. nobody cares about the radiation inside the car?
    4. all have plugin holders for the iPhone?
I am just surprised that rSAP is offered by a premium car maker, but Apple seems ignorant about its support.
I am mostly concerned about the radiation when I use regular hands free. But I do understand that rSAP also has some limitations (only access to SIM contacts and other things, Wikipedia DE has a good full report, Wikipedia EN is much shorter).
    Regards,
    Olaf

  • Why is Oracle Not Also Entering the Tablet Market

I have never heard or seen a debate on this subject:
I know that the vision of Java is cross platform but I have a very interesting question. Correct my being naive, if I am wrong.
WHY? (Question), cant Oracle also roll out their tablets that can run Java/JavaFX applications natively. I guess Oracle can join the competition in this area before its too late. Its not too late for Oracle to start a tablet product along that line in their hardware section. They should not just leave that industry to Google,Apple, RIM and Microsoft (none of these guys advance core Oracle consumer tech in their consumer hardware). Even by the volume of java developers in the world, an oracle tablet product that can run java/javafx natively is bound to succeed. I believe all the beautiful things that can be done with JavaFX will be a waste if it does not find itself in tablets asap.
I really suggest that Oracle should look into this. Africa for instance is a HUGE market for tablet and mobile innovation. Several millions aggressive, compulsive buyers of mobile technology!
Is it that oracle does not see tablets as a huge future market? oracle also has a solid cloud plan. The last time I checked, there is no tablet in the market running java/javafx natively except android which is a Google thing. I just want to know why this will not be a logical choice for oracle.
I will really want to know what the java community/oracle thinks about this.

WHY? (Question), cant Oracle also roll out their tablets that can run Java/JavaFX applications natively. Well for one thing until they acquired Sun just last year they were not in the platform market at all.
If Sun had been successful at the platform market then Oracle wouldn't have been able to buy them.
I suspect consuming Sun has been a significant management task as well. Swift changes in direction are probably not possible and as far as I know Oracle doesn't make swift changes anyways.

  • Why is Dutch not available in Siri?

Could someone please tell me why Dutch is not available in Siri (ios6).
It is deffinately not the same as German (just for the info).
By the way, Arabic is also a worldlanguage, spoken by many people. There is Chinese but no Arabic. Really something to think about in the future for the developers of IOS. Anyways, this was about dutch, so could anyone please tell me why there is no Dutch available in Siri?
    Thanks in advance!

Because Apple hasn't made it available yet. They have made no specific statements as to why certain languages are not yet available so there's really no other answer anyone here can give.
Submit your feedback requesting Dutch directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:

  • Why is icloud not listed in my updated macbook pro's systems preferences, there is mobileme instead?

I use a Samsung Android, two mac book pros, a large desktop mac, a Kindle Fire, and recently  bought a preowned iphone 5; want to synch it with my mac book pro. I have an icloud email but nothing from my macbook is connected with it except maybe itunes. icloud is not the way I sign on when pening my personal macbook. But the only id I could use to get into the iphone was my icloud id. I want to get "Everything" together but when attempting to set up icloud in my personal macbk at system pref.s there is no icloud listed only the ancient "Mobilme" . I have done all the updates, why is icloud not in there and what can I do to set it up?

If you are seeing mobile me, then you are running 10.6.8 or earlier.  iCloud came out in 10.7.  So your device "may" be updated as far as it can, but it is not far enough to use iCloud.  You can try to upgrade to 10.10 (which is free), or if your system is not capable, you may have to pay for lion or mountain lion.
    HTH.
