Why iPhone 3G Dock doesn't work with audio cable?

Hi, I'm Italian. I apologize for the mistakes, but I just learned English!
I will try to explain you my problem. I bought an audio-video cable for iPhone to link it at my stereo and to get better the HiFi System, I decided to buy an iPhone 3G or 3GS dock (my iPhone is a 3G one). But, when I linked all, the iPhone works with its speakers. Is possible to get working the iPhone like this:
iPhone > audio/video cable > stereo
with these links:
iPhone > dock > audio/video cable > stereo

Have you downloaded the Remote App? Wouldn't it be better for your iPhone's battery life to just let iTunes play the music over AirTunes? I'm kind of confused as to what you're trying to do.

My universal dock doesn't work with my iphone 4s, but it work with my ipod touch 4th gen. Its actually works on both of my device back then, and i din't use the dock for few month, now I can't use it woth my iphone. I did restore both of my device but it still doesn't works with my iphone.

TP T60 with VISTA and dock doesn't work with DVI

I have Lenovo T60 with vista. I have advance dock from lenovo. DVI on dock doesn't work correctly. External display is distort, noisy.
After start of Vista is all right. But when I use blank white page monitor switch off and on in a circle. Monitor is in good order. Advence is in good order. (I change it 3 times).

ok, i think i understand you now. you have an advance dock with a third-party PCI graphics card and can't get it to work under vista. my best recommendation is to try different drivers. i am not 100% positive but your PCI card might have to have the same GPU as your T61 to be compatible. perhaps someone else with more experience on this can help.

IPhone 2.0 doesn't work with my exchange server

My tech support guys have been working on my iPhone for an entire day and couldn't get it to work with the server. They are telling me that the phone isn't compatible with the exchange server and it would require an entire overhaul of our server and reconfiguration to get it to work. I thought the new iPhone was supposed to be so easy to use. I am so ready to ditch my blackberry and so very disappointed that I can't get the iPhone to work with our server. Macintosh support was completely useless to help figure out this problem- as they said they don't offer support to third party software- yet this phone is supposed to work with the Microsoft Exchange Server?! Can anyone offer any help?

I wanted to reach out to you to update you with your iPhone working on the peacock exchange. After spending considerable time with both AT&T and Macintosh, getting the phone to operate with exchange as easy as Macintosh advertises, has ended in a failure. Your phone device itself, is properly updated and has all the correct settings. Where the problem lies for you is on the Microsoft server end. This is where the server will have to have additional software and updates installed which would effect and change the peacock network environment. This can be potentially accomplished, however it will need to be evaluated for the additional costs and potential risks to the server and environment. That’s why BlackBerry is so popular with business networks, because it does not affect the Microsoft Exchange mail services in any shape or form. Blackberry runs on its own server service which acts as the bridge to communicate with the Microsoft service.
AT&T was very helpful and tried everything they could to aid us. Macintosh on the other hand, was not very helpful. Actually Blackberry has two options, one where they pull from your server and then push it to your phone as described. Alternatively you can install their software on your server to relay. Both require additional services, software and fees. Instead the iPhone uses the ActiveSync included in the Exchange server, which is the same protocol used to communicate with Windows Mobile based devices.

Essentially Apple does not configure Microsoft Exchange for your admins. We do provide a list of what versions of ActiveSync and which ActiveSync features we support. However, ActiveSync is part of the Microsoft Exchange server maintained and configured by your Exchange server admins.

HT4528 iphone 4 charger doesn't work with iphone 5

I bought an iPhone 5 recently and discovered I cannot charge it using the iPhone 4 USB charger. I plug the Lightning cable into the new Apple USB charger that came with the 5 and it works. I plug it into my older 4 Apple USB charger (that looks 100% identical) and it doesn't work. iPhone 4 works on both.
What the heck?

Check the output on both chargers and see if there is a difference.

Monster Beatbox dock doesn't work with ios5x

I've seen some other posts where ios5 is causing widespread breaks in other docks and I've also seen Apple's ridiculous stance that their upgrade isn't the cause of these breaks. Aside from the fact that I'm fed up with Apple's standard response of avoiding blame until enough people prove there's an issue...I'm now stuck with a Bose Soundock and a Monster Beatbox that don't work with my phones - yes multiple phones. Between my wife and I, we have an iphone 4, iphone 4s, and ipod 3g. I updated the two phones on the same day and they immediately stopped working on both docks. The ipod worked until I updated it too. Now I have $1,000 worth of Apple approved accessories that don't work.
I know Appple's worthless with support, so I'm not expecting them to fix this...so I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a way to fix this...either by downgrading or some other trick???

All the plugins seem to work more or less as long as the shortcuts plugin is unchecked. It still crashes every now an then. I removed cairo-dock and returned back to tint2.
Although this is not solved should I mark this topic as solved? Or should I just leave as it is?

40GB iPod Photo came with FW cable, doesn't work with FW cable

I have a 40GB iPod photo that I love. I bought another (used) one for my wife, being careful to get the identical model so we could share things such as docks, cables, etc.
Her iPod works fine with the USB cable, but will only charge with the FW cable -- no computer can see her iPod through FW. I've reset the iPod, updated it with the iPod updater, but nothing. When I connect her iPod to any of my Macs (her 12" iBook, my 12" PowerBook, my G5 iMac) with FW, the iPod appears to be charging, but is not detected by the computer, nor are any of the iPod controls usable. It doesn't go to the "do not disconnect" screen, but simply freezes where it is until the FW cable is disconnected.
Specifics: both iPod Photos are the 40GB model M9585LL, version 1.2.1. The 2nd one CAME WITH a FW cable, which is why I'm puzzled that it won't work with it. Help?

You need to find the pinout of the camera cable you have.
Probably be easier to get get an AV cable with a 3.5mm plug to (whatever fits into your TV) cable.
Usually, you simply have to swap the Red and the Yellow for it to work properly.

HT1454 iPhone 4s video out not working with AV cable

I have an iPhone 4s with ios 6.0. I recently bought the apple composite AV cable from an apply store. Unfortunate when I connect it to my tv all I get is sound. I've search for tv out settings but I can't seem to find them. Any suggestions?

im running ios 6.1.3 but have been having this problem for a while at least 2 earlier versions.I have an iphone 4s as do 2 of my work colleagues one running on the same as me and the other slightly earlier but not sure. I have a docking device that has an av out and also an iphone adater to composite av.and also vuzix wrap that supports iphone My phone doesnt work with any and i can recall starting to have problems first with the docking device which became temperamental and then wouldnt work at all.both my mates phones work with it and the glasses.My kids ipad 2s work with the composite lead and the glasses- dont fit the dock obviously ,my iphone 3 runs on all.i can only think that at some point the internals of my iphone 4s may have become damaged hence the intermittant problems with the dock at first ,and maybe its the 30 pin plug could it be that whichever of the pins carry the av signal have become damaged in some way posible dampness ,but im going to have it changed as it seems like a likey possibility.I can say one thing it was nothing to do with the software version ,nor any other device or lead.Also what i thought might be the internal 30 pin plug is i dont get a message l anymore saying the "accessory is not compatible with this iphone"therefore i dont think the phone knows theres a plug in so for the av out pins anyway as it charges up fine

I really need some help with my iPhone Dock from Sharp.
At first I used the dock for charging and to play music, No problem.
But then one day it didn't work. When I put my iPhone 4 into the dock it didn't connect.
There is nothing wrong with the dock but my phone just won't connect, nothing happens.
I asked my friend to try her iPhone and it worked. Started to charge her phone and she could use it play music.
So why doesn't my phone work anymore? Have I accidentally switched something off in settings or what?

I installed cairo-dock 3.1.2-2 and cairo-compmgr-git 20130209-1. It runs without any problem. After installing cairo-dock-plug-ins 3.1.2-1 cairo-dock opens in maintenance mode.
When I try to start it in the console I get the following messages:

Altec Lansing IMT520 Portable Dock Doesn't Work with IOS6 Upgrade!

Apple team,
I just upgraded to the the iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 and now my Altec Lansing IMT520 won't work! Before I bought this, I made sure to plug my phone in so that i wouldn't be stuck with an expensive paperweight. It worked fine and now since I upgraded its not longer working... what is the fix?

Hmmmm good to know. I almost bought one yesterday. I'll have to try it in the apple store now that I have upgraded to see if it works.
