Why is -100% saturation still yielding faint colors?

When working in "develop" - "basic", using adjustment brush at -100% saturation is still leaving my image with faint colors..... why would this happen and what am I missing to make this process work correctly? Thanks..

Reset the phone (no data loss): Press both the home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears. After the phone restarts, try updating again.

Hue saturation changing too many colors

I have some yellow flowers that I want to change the colors of.
I am also noticing that whether I choose Master or Yellows from the drop down in a hue/saturation adjustment layer, it is still changing the color of some other items in the background that I do not want to change.
I tried using the history brush over those rocks, and items in the background, though it does not seem to do anything.
1. Why is it doing this?
2. What is the best way to have it not change the items in the background?

You could also select the stuff you want to change before running the Hue/Saturation function.
c.pfaffenbichler's advice is good regarding adjusting the color range.

Illustrator changes 100% black image to 4 color seperation

I have designed an image in Photoshop using 100% black. When I place the file into Illustrator and sample my blacks, they have been changed to a 4 color separation. When I look at the pdf in Acrobat's output preview, it is a separation. It is not a display issue. I can place that file into Indesign & it's like it was designed in Photoshop, 100% black. Can someone tell me how to get it to stay as it is suppose to be? I have tried the output black accurately in preferences among numerous other things. I have been using Indesign and Photoshop for about 3 years, but just recently began to design and edit with illustrator. I really like it but I need this problem resolved. I have many files now that I will have to go back and fix as I only noticed the problem today. Sure, it will print, but we prefer to only print our blacks on the black plate. Help!!!

In InDesign,the ink samples as a 4 color black, but separation preview in both InDesign and acrobat show it as 100k. I know the file from Illustrator is definitely 100K now. I am a little confused as to why InDesign samples this image as 4 color, but previews it as 100K. I think I am good to go for print but would like to understand this a bit better. I am self taught at this with the basics taught to me by a friend/co-worker, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why is my IPad still discharging battery when switched off and locked away - with no one using it? Charged it to 100% on holiday and locked in safe. 2 days later it was at 76%!

How is it "switched off"? Are you pressing the button on the top so the screen goes black? If so, that isn't shut off, but put to sleep. I will still be doing things in the background and using battery power.
To shut it fully off, press and hold the button on top, you will get a notification on the screen that says "Slide to power off". Slide the button and it will turn completly off.
If this is how you switched it off, let us know and we will see what else we can figure out.

I'm assuming you clicked on the color patch besides the word <Character> to open the color picker window.
At the right side of this window there is a vertical bar that has 2 horizontal black lines at the bottom.
This is actually a slider. Pull it upwards with the color picker and color will appear in the window.

Open Control Panel -> Check in Mouse Properties -> Remove Checkmark from "Display Pointer Trails"
Check and tell if its working.

Check your document color mode and the mode of the color picker as well as your color managemnt settings. You can't print certain colors in CMYK and AI is correctly adjusting gamut based on your settings on that assumption. Work in RGB if you need "pure" colors.

My guess is they changed that to Download for all the people who wanted to or needed to download it again. It's kind of a subset of Installed, now. I don't think it is a great solution, but that is what it is.
