Why is a movie I rented in Spanish when I am in Australia?

Renters 22 jump street in Australia and is in Spanish? How do I get it to change to english it only lists spanish

I think there is an error in the system. We purchased it last last night. Was playing English audio then tonight when I went to watch the end, the audio is Spanish.  No matter what I change the settings to. The preview is in English and all other movies the audio is English so I figure its a glitch.

  • Why did the movie I rented from iTunes freeze and will not download?

I just rented a movie from the iTunes store and downloaded it.  The download completed and I began watching the movie.  Over an hour and a half into the movie it froze and now says an unknown error occured while downloading (even though no error message displayed before starting the movie) .  Why is this?  How do I get a refund or have the movie download properly?  My connection is great just fyi.

As I mentioned in the first post.  It shoudl be in the videos app.
Itunes is only the itunes music and video store.  Nothing is stored there.
You need to open the videos app.
Have a look at the manual:

  • Why does a .mov slideshow look much darker when played with idvd

I have created a .mov slideshow from iphoto. I now want to write it to a dvd using iDVD. When setting up the various dropzones the images look great. When I play the .mov in Quicktime, the images look great. When I preview the proposed DVD, all of the images look to contrasty / dark. Why is this and how can I fix it?

    Hi Klaus,
Me thinks you jest my good man.....
Again I repeat, in every other application, the images look the way they are meant to be.
Only in iDVD do they become "corrupted".
Anyone who has anything to do with digital imaging knows you should calibrate your monitors.
An industry standard calibrated environment is a must when dealing with a digital imaging environment.
iDVD is screwing up the images ad making them darker.
    Quicktime isn't.
    iPhoto isn't.
    Photoshop isn't.
    Capture One Pro isn't.
    Adobe Bridge isn't.
    Camera Raw isn't.
    InDesign isn't.
    Acrobat isn't.
I can list many more applications on both PCs and Macs that correctly display the images.
iDVD is the only one that screws them up!!!!!
Are you seriously suggesting that calibrating our monitors is the cause of iDVD displaying images incorrectly and different to all of the above mentioned software?
Me thinks you jest my good man.....
    Kind regards,
    Mike

  • Why is my movie playing in 4:3 when it is 16:9?

I've created a idvd project and I remember precisely choosing the 16:9 option (the menus are in 16:9) but the movie gets squished to 4:3. I exported the movie out of final cut in 16:9 and when I play it in quicktime its fine. Is there something I can do to fix it? My idvd is 7.0.3 if that helps. Thanks for any replies.

It happens from time to time with content from FinalCut and FinalCutEExpress. Take a look at: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10885875

Why is it that I rented a movie from iTunes on my computer but it is not showing in my Apple TV to view

    Hello Amy,
You can but the method varies depending on the Apple TV that you have.
From the article How to rent a movie from the iTunes Store on your computer found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1390:
To rent movies from the iTunes Store on your computer
In iTunes on your computer, click iTunes Store.
In the iTunes Store, find a movie you want to rent.
Click Rent. Your rental should begin to download immediately.
Once the rental is downloaded, you can watch it on your computer or transfer the rental to a supported iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV (1st generation):
Connect the device and select it in iTunes.
    Click the Movies button.
Select the movie, and then click Move.
After all movies have been moved, click Apply in the lower-right corner of iTunes.
You must be connected to the Internet to transfer a rented movie.
If you have Apple TV 2nd gen. or later you can use Airplay to play it on your tv through the Apple TV.
Here is the article to help get that setup and going.
    Using AirPlay

  • HT200109 Why do all my other Apple devices not care if the movie I rented from iTunes if it was downloaded directly to that device or not, but the stupid Apple TV won't allow you to play rented movies unless you rented it directly from the Apple TV?

Why do all my other Apple devices not care if the movie I rented from iTunes if it was downloaded directly to that device or not, but the stupid Apple TV won't allow you to play rented movies unless you rented it directly from the Apple TV?
Great, so now I have to airplay it by linking my computer to my Apple TV and then the movie has to buffer! So, all that time I spent downloading the HD video has to technically "download" again by buffering. The more I use Apple TV, the more I feel like this item was not created by Apple. I don't even use it for what I originally purchased it for. If I would have known that anytime I wanted to sync a movie from my computer to Apple TV by using airplay that it would have to buffer the movie, I would have never ever ever ever ever purchased this waste of time device. So the video has to technically play all the way through one time first so Apple TV can "remember" the movie to play it back in real time afterwards.
Am I missing something here? Am I doing something wrong that can be fixing my problem? I should have known that the Apple TV had so many things backwards when simple things like when you are using the remote and you reach the bottom of your list, in order to cycle back to the top of your list you have then press the directional buton back the other way rather than most modern day devices that will automatically cycle you back to the top or to the other side when you reached the bottom or end but keep on pressing the button. That **** annoys me when I am doing a search for a movie and have to type the name in manually and have to cycle back and forth to the letters. It makes me feel like I am using a rotary phone or something!

I was told by someone to try and purchase something directly from my Apple TV and that will help authorize my Apple TV.  So I picked something that was free and it downloaded.
Then I went back to the Movie that would not work and it played just fine.
So it seemed to work.  I will have to try it on other movies and TV shows later.

  • Why does it take over 2 hours to download a rented movie on apple tv? When I download a movie on Netflix it downloads immediately.

Why does it take over 2 hours to download a rented movie on Apple TV?  When I download a movie from Netfix it is immediate.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Netflix uses adaptive streaming and can reduce quality right down to produce a stream as low as 0.5 Mbps.

  • HT1657 Why can't I transfer rented movies from my iPad to my Mac?

Why can't I transfer rented movies from my iPad to my Mac? This is absolutely senseless and annoying! I rented the movie and  should be able to watch it wherever I decide to!! A bit more concern for your clients, please...

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here. As far as I know Apple haven't given a reason, but you can try leaving feedback for them via this page : http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • Why can't I play rented movie?

I downloaded a movie to rent last week. It appears on my rentals list with 28 days remaining. I did not start watching it. When I tried to do so today I got the following message: "An error occurred loading this content." My Apple TV is new. I have a high-speed AT&T home Internet connection.

What exactly is the current speed of your connection (speedtest.net) ?
Check for network interference by using istumbler or netstumbler
Make sure you are using your ISPs DNS (settings - general - network - configure DNS - automatic)

  • How can i play the movie i rented on my MacBook (it's downloading now) on my 3rd generation Apple TV? I cannot find it.

I just rented an SD version of a movie using iTunes on my MacBook Pro because there was no SD option available on my 3rd generation ATV (and I had to update my CC anyway). The movie is downloading now and if I wanted to, I could watch it as it downloads on my computer. But I would prefer to watch it right now on my ATV. However, I cannot find it anywhere. I have looked in "movies" (there is nothing about rented movies and nothing under purchased) and "computers" (which shows only music, tv shows, or podcasts in my library). ATV help says the rented movie will be in the top shelf of the main menu, but it does not say under which tab: movies or computers. At this point, it is under neither.

I believe I've answered my questions, thanks to some discussions I found here.
    1. Although I can watch the movie I rented immediately on my MacBook Pro, I must wait (maybe an hour or more) before I can watch it on my Apple TV. I have no idea why that's the case and it's unfortunate, but apparently that's why I cannot find the rental on my Apple TV.
    2. The rental will (apparently) eventually show up in the top shelf, not under "Movies," but under "Computers," where a category called "Rentals" will magically appear (it currently does not exist).
Comment: neither of these facts is particularly obvious or intuitive. Apple's FAQ should spell this out.
