Why is AE getting error writing a file after finishing a render?

I have been trying to create an MPEG4 file from a comp. It renders successfully - at least, it does not display any render errors - but then gets an error when writing the file. It creates a file, but the file cannot be opened by Quicktime, nor Premiere Pro.

Use Adobe Media Encoder to create MPEG-4 files.

Are you running Kaspersky security software on that PC? (There's been a few reports in recent times of Kaspersky interfering with iTunes installs, with that message being produced.)
If there is Kaspersky on board, we should try some general-principles getting-past-security-software-interference troubleshooting.
Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (32-bit installer file) or iTunes64Setup.exe to your Hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the install just yet.)

Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to your network and/or the internet.
Any better luck with the security software shut down?

Error writing to file during iTunes 10.6 installation - Help!!

I am trying to update iTunes to 10.6 but I get 'Error writing to file C:\Config.Msi\1b0f1d.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory' I am presented with the option to 'Retry' or 'Cancel' after choosing retry on multiple occassions the update will not complete. I have a new pc on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system. I have never had this problem before. Thanks in advance.

Wierdly after persistance it has worked :s not sure how. but I have iTunes 10.6 which is the main thing!

For running SharePoint Designer 2013, you need to install Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework or higher.
Please uninstall the Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework, and install it again. After that, reboot your machine.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

I had to clone my computer due to motherboard going out in other. Aodbe wanted me to update registration found out I had to uninstall and reinstall CS2. Did it and I get the Error1310 Error: Writing to File code. Please help

I had Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium installed on my Asus laptop, when I would try to update I would get that there was a problem and the 11 updates could not be installed, after spending about 4 hours a day for days I decided a clean install might help, THAT'S WHERE THE REAL PROBLEMS STARTED, I have now spent another 4 half days firstly with color profile rollback and had to spend hours changing permissions to delete color profiles, running Adobe Support Advisor, Windows fix's, Adobe clean up tool,

Every time I try and update to the latest version, I get an error messages saying to manually do it from tools menu. After doing that, I get an error message saying "error writing to file c:\config.msi\22be9d65.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory." I am the sole user on this computer and have full administrative rights to my computer. Why am I getting this? I REALY don't care if I upgrade or not but want to get rid of the stupid apple update crap that comes up everytime I turn my computer on. Well, there's definitely a mac and a Windows version. And you're at the right page. I think the problem is that someone forgot (or decided not to) to update the text at teh bottom of the page to have Mac and Windows.
Just push the button, you'll get the Mac update no problem.
