Why is airdrop not even visible on control center on my iphone 5?

I have an Iphone 5 that has IOS 7 on It. I've read that the Iphone 5 has the capability to have airdrop, but it isn't on the control center. Any answers?

I assume that you're on wifi and have Bluetooth turn on and the person you want to airdrop with has an iphone 5 or higher and is also connected to the same wifi and has Bluetooth turn on.

You can download a free app from the App Store called Instashare. It will allow you to share files between idevices wirelessly similar to Airdrop. It will work on a iPad 3 as I have it and use it. I think Airdrop would be much better but at least it's something besides emailing links or attachments.

AirDrop is not available on an iPad 2 or on an iPhone 4S.
To share content with AirDrop, both users need one of the following devices using iOS 7:
iPhone 5 or later
iPad (4th generation)
iPad mini
iPod touch (5th generation)

Just do not update the iOS on the iPod. The only time you have to update is if the iPod has a problem and you have to restore via iTunes. Apple set up iTunes such that when you restore, the iPod is automatically updated to the latest iOS version for that iPod

You can create an Apple ID without a credit card by following this guide exactly: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534. Note that you have to start by downloading a free app, then create the ID.

Satellite A100-237: I do not have the Catalyst Control Center after driver installation

I use a Satellite A100-237 laptop. 1.83 GHz Core Duo, Ati Mobility Radeon X1600 512MB Hypermemory, 1.5GB DDR2 RAM.
My laptop now seems to use only the own 256 MB RAM (Graphic card's own RAM).
I purchased Need for Speed Carbon and installed it to my laptop.
When I tried to open the game, a blue screen appeared for less than 1 seconds, and than system restarted. Windows said that that was a critical error and a driver stopped Windows XP to operate, therefore system is restarted.
I searched in the net for this problem and, people said that, when they updated the driver the problem is solved.
I downloaded Display driver 8.241 (download file name: display_xp-8241.zip) from toshiba-europe.com.
Driver installed but while installing ATI Catalyst Control Center, at a point the installation process stoped continuing. I had to end the task after a while.
It said that driver is installed and system must be restarted.
Now the game works, thats not the problem, however I do not have the Catalyst Control Center. (Where I recently use it for connecting other screens to my laptop)
How can I solve this problem?

You may run the driver installer again, use the custom installation option and select Catalyst Control Center only. Alternatively, you may remove the entire driver and try re-installing again. I suggest you also download the notebook driver package from ATI's website instead of Toshiba, as their drivers are usually more up-to-date (although it might be less safe to use them, I don't know).
And BTW, I have the same notebook and I have failed to see an option to set the machine to use the VRAM *only* instead of borrowing from RAM whenever necessary. Any ideas?

Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.

Both of those are carrier features, contact your cell phone provider and ask them why.

Facetime will not use the cellular network (if using AT&T) for the iphone 4, 4S or 5 unless you have signed up for ATT's new data share plan. They stated this several weeks ago when there was talk about Iphone5/IOS 6 and Facetime. Your carrier is the one that decides if Facetime will work over the cellular network or not. You might want to contact them. Your other option is to continue using it via wi-fi.

When I swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center I do not have an AirDrop button. Also if I try to share a photo I do not have an option to share via AirDrop. OK so I just found a page that says that the iPhone 4S does not support AirDrop even though it will runs iOS 7. So that explains the issue. But boo!

I'm trying to deploy external LCD panel via docking station and need to adjust setting for the panel. However, control center do not open by right clicking on desktop.
just few seconds time glass remains with arrow and then nothing happens.

Not able to start control center service of OWB 10.2

Hi i have implemented the remote runtime service architecture in OWB 10.2. This means the OWB s/w is not installed in the box where Oracle data base is.When I'm trying to start the service form the client machine (where OWB is installed) using the Start Control Center service option the service is not starting up.Is there any work around to start the control center service.

Try to start the service using @<OWB-HOME>/owb/rtp/sql/start_service.sql
You need to log with the Control Center owner.
Check out if you get any errors. If yes, try also @<OWB-HOME>/owb/rtp/sql/service_doctor.sql for more information.
