Why is angry birds in my updates list?

I have a brand new macbook air that's only a week or so old and has never had angry birds installed on it. I only vaguely even know what the heck angry birds is, let alone have I ever used it. Yet in the App Store on the updates tabs, low and behold there appear angry birds. like, what?! not that it really matters in the grand scheme of the universe, but how do I remove this from the updates list so i don't get a little red "1" in the corner of my app store icon? this is very strange.

Have you been downloading apps that should cost money for free somewhere? Because there is a well-known exploit that pirates use to steal software that involves mimicking a cheap app... Like Angry Birds. A symptom of such theft is often that updates for software that you do not have show up.

Angry birds 1.6 update won't launch

on an ipod touch gen 2 with 32 Mb, the new angry birds 1.60 update downloaded but won't launch. screen goes black for a few seconds and then back to home. once, it did go to the 'loading' page but it froze. i tried a soft reset and a hard reset - neither fixed the problem. do i need to do a restore, and will i lose all progress? how to do it so i won't lose all progress - and will it help? note: a web search suggested that i'm not the only one with this problem with this particular update, though i haven't seen any fixes yet. thx for any help/tips you have.

FYI, finally Rovio replied to my bug reports, here is what they say (I haven't tried it yet...not sure how to do the backup to keep progress but will look at that link).
We have now received some feedback on this issue and are currently investigating it. We apologize for not being able to give an answer or instructions right away, this is something that needs deeper investigation.
Meanwhile you can try to reinstall the game but remember to back up scores and game progress. At the moment we don't have an own program to do this. However, I would recommend you to take a look at the following link:

Angry Birds Seasons Perpetual Updating

I am running iTunes 12 on a Win 7 laptop. This past week an Angry Birds Seasons update was available so i loaded on my laptop and all my devices. Since then everytime I visit the App Store Update page either on my laptop or my iDevices, Angry Birds Seasons is there. The icons on the update page won't go away on any of the devices I view the App Store Update page. What is going on? How do I get rid of this perpetual update without screwing up my scores?

Ask the developer of Angry Birds. How are we supposed to know why they do anything?

Why does Angry Birds Rio 2 show up on my portable devices but not the iMac?

I have Angry Birds Rio on all my devices and the updates for Rio 2 have been downloaded on both the iPad and iPhone but it still is not showing up on the iMac. I know the updates for each device don't always come out at the same time but Rio 2 has been out for a while. How do I get it to show up on the iMac?

That was it! I had both versions on the iMac but the older one was on my dock and thus the one I kept opening. I removed the older version and put the 2.1.0 on the dock and all is good. Thank you!!

Angry Birds update, but not owned?

My App Store is telling me that I can upgrade Angry Birds to 1.6.2
Problem is, I have never bought Angry Birds for my mac, only for my iPod Touch
The only Angry Birds on my Mac is "Angry Birds 1.6.2.ipa"
When I click update it says: "Log in on (removed)@mail.ru to upgrade the programs on that account". I've never used that email or heard of it.
How can I remove it from my update list?

Read what I actually wrote. I said that the pirated app that you have gotten somewhere for free has been cracked with the MAS receipt from Angry Birds acquired by this other person's Apple ID. The MAS is reading the receipt and notifying that Angry Birds has an update.
Finding a pirated app
All MAS apps have a MAS receipt in their app bundle. Check any app acquired from the MAS. Right click on the app's icon in your Apps folder and choose Show package contents. In the Contents folder is a _MASReceipt folder and in that folder is the coded MAS receipt. It has the Apple ID of the MAS account that bought/acquired the app from the MAS. It is that receipt that the MAS uses to alert you that an app has an update. There would not be a notice of an update with someone else's Apple ID showing in the MAS on your Mac, if there was not an app with a receipt from this person's account somewhere on your Mac.
Download the free app FindAnyFile (FAF);

This app is easier to use and seems to be more powerful than Spotlight. Open FAF and in the box type _MASReceipt and press Find. It should come up with a list of every app on the Mac with a MAS receipt. Compare the apps with receipts in FAF's list with your purchased apps list in the Mac App Store. The odd app out should be the pirated app.

I had a download on my angry birds game and now it does not work just turns screen black and then goes back to normal

my angry birds showed an update so i did, when it finished i cannot play it now, when try to play the welcome screen comes up and then after a few seconds turns black and then the phone returns to normal

I suggest taking it back to Best Buy. Once it has been opened, Apple will not handle the phone. Best Buy or another 3rd party are your only choices. Best Buy probably made an error when replacing the screen. Understand they are not an authorized Apple Service Center.

Why do I have an update on the Mac App Store for an Angry Birds app when I have not downloaded the app?

I have a strange issue where the Mac App Store always shows an update available for an Angry Birds app I have never downloaded on my Mac. Everytime I click on it for update, it gives a strange Username for which the update is available.
This is the username that comes up when I hit "Update"... I noticed this problem exists on my friends iMac too and it is the exact same email ID that shows on the screenshot above.
Please help.

Angry birds update problems with E7

Hallo,
I have angry birds, angry birds seasons and rio on my E7. If I log onto Nokia OVI store, it shows me I can update Seasons and Rio. My phone then download the content, but "freezes" on the installing of the update.
I have contacted Nokia Support (South-Africa), but the advice they gave me was to use WLAN or 3G to check if the download can go faster, but that doesn't really make a difference. Also they said I need to clear the cache, which I did, but it also didn't work. And that I must try to download other items, which I did and then it worked fine.
It seems that the new updates for angry birds are not working on the nokia E7?
Can someone help me with regard to this problem?

If split screen input does not appear (in latin-based languages) in conversations view then you have a conflicting conversations software in your phone. You need to remove it by opening: Menu / Settings / Application Manager / Installed Applications
- List of installed applications appears, choose Conversations, remove it.
- List of installed applications appears, choose Conversations Server, remove it.
Re-boot the device and split screen input should work after this
For me this helped. I removed Conversations Server
There was also conversations appl which I left on device

On my iPod touch 3rd generation, why won't Angry Birds let me in?

Apple doesn't have anything to do with this other than enforcing the DRM protection. The developers of this content expect to be paid if someone wants to use their content. When you purchase content in the app store, you purchase a license to use the content. This license does not permit you or anyone else to resell or give this content away. The individual you purchased the phone from simply does not have the right to sell or give away any purchased content on the phone. You were deceived.

I can not control my cursor with the trackpad. It moves randomly. It began after an Angry Birds update. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a late 2011 OS X Lion 10.7.4 that is only 6 months old. For the first 4 months I had no problems, but then about 6 weeks ago I downloaded an Angry Birds update from the Apple App Store, and my problems began. When playing Angry Birds the the new Angry Birds update for the first time the cursor began to jump around, moving on it's own as if someone else was controlling it. After a few moments I became obvious I could not control the cursor with the trackpad. When I placed the tip of my finger gently in the center of the trackpad to try to hold the cursor still it becan switching from the game (desktop) to launchpad and mission control. I then put the computer down so I was not even touching it, walked several feet away and the cursor still moved on it's own.
I've done a lot of research over the last few weeks on related articles and realized this is a common problem with numerous different causes: PRAM settings,
screen sharing, remote settings, having fingers accidently touch edges of trackpad, writst resting too close to trackpad, swollen battery, etc. and I don't think it's due to any of those issues.
The problem came out of nowhere. My computer stays at home, and is not used by anyone else. At first it was just Angry Birds, but now it can happen at any time. Sometimes hours or days go by when this does not happen, sometimes it happens so much I can't use the computer at all. It can get so bad that I won't be able to click out of whatever I'm doing on my desktop, and I'll have to shut it down by holding the power button.
Has anyone else had this issue after updating Angry Birds?

try a new/fresh apple brand cable and make sure it is the only usb cable in use. this worked for me, i noticed i had no problem with a lighting cable. i did a restore from scratch and from backup and it did not help me...and if you cant sync than you wont be able to get anything but apps back after the restore
