Why is artwork view dividing up my album?

I have a classical playlist of Mozart piano concertos. Each of them have three movements which are grouped together.
But the one concerto by Martin Helmchen gets its three movements split put into three separate boxes when they should be together in one as are the others.

Thanks, guys. I had the artist the same, that was what I couldn't understand. But the album artist was blank, and when I filled that in, they popped into the box together.

I have not have this problem in the previous version of iTune. As soon as i upgraded it to iTunes 11, it happens.
The problem in here is all my songs, tracks are still here, i can see all of them in "songs view". However, when i change the view to Album View, and click into the Album artwork, there is no track there. When i double click into the Album Artwork, the first song of the album will be played normally.
Same story to the Artist View. Only the Album Artworks are shown and the rest is completely blank.
I have absolutely no idea what is going on here and obviously i am not satisfy with this new version.
Is there any way for me to fix this problem? Please help!
Otherwise i will need to use other software for music playing.

How do I get out of the album artwork view?

Hi, my iphone music player opens a screen in the music player with an album cover view and I can't get out of this view back to the lists. How can I close the album artwork view and go back to the lists?

I'm not sure what tutorials you are viewing, and how, and I assume that you are on a Mac as there isn't an iPhoto 11 for the iPad (where is the forum where you've posted this), but is there a red-x top left of the window that you can use to close it ?

In artwork view (first icon left) same album's songs are separated

With a few albums itunes splits the songs in 2 or three "albums" as they were different albums, but are obviously the same.
Perhaps one first "album" with 8 songs, then a second with 2 and then a third with 1 song. Same album, same artwork.
The songs came from my CD collection.
Did anyone find out how to correct this strange behaviour?

Album Artwork view in iTunes (Windows)

For some reason, whenever I have iTunes in the Album artwork view, each album cover has a black diagonal line through it? Any ideas or suggestions?

Is the line covering the artwork or is there no picture at all?
If no picture, then that track does not have artwork linked to it.

I had this problem too. It has now been fixed in the latest update 11.0.1.12, and works like a charm again !

Try the Songs option from the drop down list control near the top right. Use the same control to turn off Show Artwork if needed/desired.

How to view one playlist by albums? (Not entire music library)

Albums are importatnt to me. I listen to the Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album for instance. I have no desire to have those songs shuffled etc. However, I also like the Genius Mixes. They take songs from my list of singles and intelligently order them like a radio dj would.
Let's say I put my 5 favorite albums in a playlist called "Favorite Albums:. I sync this to my Ipod touch. I can now turn my ipod horizontally and see my albums and easily pick the one I want.
Now let's unsync that playlist and sync one of my Genius Mix
Now I can play the Genius Mix and here songs by Singers/Songwriters (for instance) that are intelligently chosen and ordered. I've tried this on Itunes on my desktop and I like how it works.
Here's the problem:
Let's try to sync my "Favortie Albums" playlist AND my Genius Mix
I now go to my Ipod Touch and find my "Favorite Albums" playlist. It shows a list of songs. ( don't see an option for album view anywhere). Now I turn my Ipod trouch horizontally expecting to see the albums in that playlist. Instead I see dozens and dozens of albums. My albums are in there somewhere but my Ipod touch is showing me every song on my Ipod in album view. The other albums are there because the Genius mix needs thosee songs.
At first I thought my Ipod touch was mixing all of my playlists and Genius Mix togethor. No matter what playlist I opened I saw dozens and dozens of albums from other plalyslists.
It took me hours on the phone with Itunes to figure out that there was not real problem witht playlists. The problem is that I was assuming if you are looking at a playlist and turn the ipod horizontally you would see that playlists.
Ok, so that is the way it operates and I didn't know it. But. I can't find any way to view a playlist by albums on my ipod touch.
Yes, I can look at artists, songs, albums, playlists. But looking at albums doesn;t help. It shows ALL of the albums and in list view.
The agent was very friendly but had no idea what a Genius Mix was. I had to carefully explain to him that a Genius mix is not a Genius Playlist etc etc.
In the end his suggestion was that I don't use Genius Mixes and only sync the albums I want. My answer to that is that someone at itunes came up with this Genius Mix thing and the tout how wonderful it is. It's pretty bad to then say "Why don't you just use shuffle?"
Can anyone help me figure out a way to have Genius Mixes on my Ipod Touch and be able to look through my plalist by albums?

You can burn that playlist as data CD/DVD (backup). Go to the preferences menu and make sure that data CD/DVD is selected. If the playlist is too large you could split it by moving a part of the files to a second playlist.

Album artwork does not appear in album list or grid

I added album artwork (did get info then copy and paste) and it shows up fine in cover flow but does not appear in album list or grid view.
What am I doing wrong? Artwork files were scanned from album covers that I have.

Your album artwork cache may be corrupt. Provided most, if not all, of your artwork is embedded you can simply delete the Album Artwork folder that you will find inside your main iTunes folder and then scroll slowly through the library in Grid/Albums mode to rebuild it. Any images that were "downloaded" rather than embedded will need to be reacquired.
Threre are separate folders for the downloaded and cached images, but I've always gone for a complete rebuild so I don't know it would work to delete just the cached folder.

Itunes artwork view

When I am browsing songs in itunes (7.0.2.16) in either of the artwork views, 99% of all the music is not grouped by album.
It only gets grouped by album if in the second of the three views, the actual album is selected in the album pane. If All (# Albumns) is chosen in the album pane the gouping is lost.
I have tried the advice found at:

What is going on? Or is this a known bug?
The most frustrating part is that in the 3rd view, each song is getting its own album art image, creating a huge number of things to flip through.

if you click on the heading in the list for albums, the button actually has 2 sides to it. Left anf right, even though it looks like a single button.
Click on the left side to scroll through the options of 'album' > 'album by artist' > 'Album by year' . then click on the right hand side of the button to click the arrow so that they go either in order, or reverse order.
with 'album by artist' selected it should group all the songs. if it isn't then you need to selct each album that isn't behaving, and edit the entire albums worth of songs in one go, by selecting all the tracks and hitting control 'i' (guess, as it's apple 'i' on a mac).
type in something in 'album artist'. this will consolidate albums like kanye west where each track is by him + some other numpty.
or for albums like 'now thats what i call music' you need to edit the same, but check the 'compilation album' checkbox, this will then consolidate them in to a single item when viewed in coverflow.
does that work for you???

Artwork viewer not working

I'm having a really odd problem here, and it's lasted through 2 updates now.
When I add artwork, the artowork doesn't show in the artwork viewer. Whether in currently playing or currently selected, it simply acts like there's no artwork. The artwork is there. I can see it in the info and even in the album view, but the artwork viewer doesn't show anything other than the default. It also doesn't matter if I copy and paste or actually use a file to add the artwork.
Artwork added before this problem started seems uneffected.

Anyone?

Grouped with artwork view separates songs with featured artists

When I am in the group with artwork view of my library, any song that has a featured artist is separated into a separate section. For instance, if track 7 is a duet, it will have a second section with the album cover art and that track below the section that all the other tracks are in. I want it to just show the full album without pulling any out just because it has a featured artist etc. On the list view, it doesn't appear separately. Can anyone help?

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. Describe the problem as fully as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
