Why is Audio screeching and video choppy?

Greetings. I have recently formated my toshiba latop with windows xp and have no problems playing audio or video from non-flash sources, I installed version 10.1.85.3 of flash. And even tried a couple of older versions. I have used firefox, chrome and IE, all with no success. All i get is a choppy video with high pitched sceeching for audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. The Windows Firewall would not cause any issue. AVG can, but it would not be the main anti-virus engine which is the Resident Shield. That could block an Install of Flash Player, but evidently it didn't. What can cause problems are the following which I'll post in a minute.
Malwarebytes that you use, is it the Free version that is on your Desktop and you run it on demand? If so that is not a problem either. Now if it is the full version and Installed and runs in realtime, it may conflict with AVG.
These are the AVG add ons and the LinkScanner that you may try to Disable and see if there is any improvement.

Double-click on the LinkScanner.
Un-tick the option Enable AVG Search-Shield and Enable Active Surf-Shield.
Save the changes.

Audio Messages and Video

I was excited to see that you could finally send audio messages and videos.....but when I realized that you can only use this feature when you are talking to someone else who has an iPhone...it peeved me. I was trying to understand why I was not seeing the microphone feature to the right, as in the "Tips" app. Hope this is not the case. Anyone noticing the same?

Well, I just checked on my device, and it appears that the mic does not appear if I try a contact that does not have an iPhone. You could check the user guide here http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf and see if it provides any further information.

How to synchronize audio track and video when transmitting by RTP

since the audio stream and video stream are transmitted separately on the network even if in a merged data, how to synchronize the audio stream and video stream at the receiving end ?

I'm using a custom AVReceive3 to receive rtp-streams and then I create processors for the incoming stream's datasource's, and they are ALL PushBufferDataSource's.
Does this mean I can't synchronize these. If so is there any way I can change them into Pull...DataSources ?The RTP packets are timestamped when they leave, and they are played in order. You can't change the timebase on an RTP stream because, for all intensive purposes, it's "live" data. It plays at the speed the transmitting RTP server wants it to play, and it never gets behind because it drops out of order and old data packets.
If your RTP streams aren't synced correctly on the receiving end, it means they aren't being synced on the transmitting end...so you should look into the other side of the equation.

My Desktop Computer(Intel P 4, 512MB of RAM, and Graphics Card with 256MB of RAM)
Also, My Desktop Computer with P 4 doesn't have any access internet since there is no network adapter is installed. As a result, I would not be able to run the pc scan utility, or Reader a web-based applet that identifies my GPU or Audio controller
and finds the latest graphics driver for my GPU, and Audio.
I have two Windows XP installations:
Windows XP SP2(32Bit) which is old and it seems it infected by some viruses.
I have installed another fresh clean Windows XP(32Bit) SP3. However, I have two devices not detected well by Windows XP.
First of all, when saying that I have multi-operationgs systems, I mean there are two operating systems installed on my PC(SP2, SP3) both are 32Bit. The first Windows SP2(NOT installed by me) has all multimedia audio card installed well,
and has SCSI and RAID Host Controller shown the device manager. However, only the VGA is not installed on Windows SP2. However, the second one Windows SP3(Installed by me) has VGA not installed, Multimedia audio NOT installed, and there is no SCSI and RAID
Host Controller in device manager.

Screen Share, Audio Chat and Video Chat not working

Hey everyone.
I recently started having issues with using some of the iChat protocols over AIM with a friend of mine.
I can send IMs and files perfectly, but I can't get Audio Chat, Video Chat or even Screen Sharing (both ways) to work. After a while I get: "Failed to start Screen Sharing because: Screen Sharing could not be established." I also get the exact same message when trying to Audio chat or Video chat.
If anyone knows the answer to this problem please help us...

Why is audio distorted and pulses after I import from Adobe Organizer to Adobe Premiere Elements 11

All the videoes I have collected this year from my iphone video, sony video camera an fuji water video camera work fine in the Adobe organizer but when I import to Adobe Premiere Elements 11 after a couple of clips max four the audio distorts and pulsates. I just purchased the software and have updated all the software. Thank you in advance I am so frustrated I feel I tried everything.

Flash player audio chirps and video delays

When playing recorded videos the audio "chirps" and sounds
like a tape deck with the speed varying. The video is anywhere from
1 to 3 seconds behind the audio.

Found this in Techsmith's Camtasia forum, dated 1-10-08,
posted by one of the Camtasia developers:
"We've also been working with Adobe Flash Player TechSupport,
who has been very responsive and helpful. They have confirmed the
bug, and escalated it as a high priority issue to their engineers.

How to add Audio Formats and Video Formats in one movie?

Now that FCP X will not allow different settings how would I change the Audio Format and the Video Format to one movie in Compressor 4?
When I change the Audio to ACC I have a sound file and when I change the Video Format to HD 720 I get the movie but with the original sound.
Any help is always appreciated.

Sorry for this one also. Just finally searched the Inspector windoe in Compressor 4. It is already there.

IMovie to iDVD-audio, slides and videos stuff up

Possess a Powerbook G4, DVD burner.
Did a project using clips and video clips. Share it with iDVD. Tried previewing it.
Audio plays and stops intermittently. Clips do not move and show sequentially. Audio keeps playing and stopping intermittently but clips and videos did not play as sequenced in iMovie.

Audio buzz and video cut-out caused by volume shadow service errors during updates and other services that create shadow copies

I have this issue and see throughout the Internet that my problem is shared by large numbers of other Windows 7 users, and a few Windows 8 users.
I also see that Microsoft has not addressed the issue.
I've been troubleshooting the problem for 13 months and across 3 separate hard drives on 2 separate computers, with the help of tech escalation from both Carbonite and Dell (whom I wanted to eliminate as causes, and who have been kind enough to assist even
after being eliminated as causes because they evidently care about customer service).
Over 13 months we have run system diagnostics, reinstalls and repairs to no avail. We have been able to reproduce the event in the absence of every attached device, every installed program, every subscribed service, and every hardware type and configuration.
We have visited chat rooms showing that this is a widespread problem (e.g., http://superuser.com/questions/630033/audio-video-glitch-when-shadow-copy-service-starts), and that even professional server administrators simply consign themselves to VSS being "the
bane of backup software" (http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/229743-problem-with-vss-writer-system-writer-timed-out).
Yet regardless of the computer or the configuration, the problem persists. It causes characteristic and alarming disk write error and memory spikes on the Resource Monitor that can be traced to huge numbers on the System 4 and VSSVC.exe processes, occurring
every time the Volume Shadow Copy Service and Application Experience create a restore point during an automatic update of Adobe, antivirus, etc.; and one can even provoke an event simply by manually creating a restore point, which has the bonus of triggering
an 8220 notice that the Volume Shadow Service has run out of time while deleting files. And the only advice I've seen from MS is that this is a "normal condition."
It is not normal to be unable to enjoy audio and video. And it is certainly not normal for one's PC to continually degrade with every update until it becomes unable to update and must be replaced.
I am on my 3rd computer with this problem (different type and configuration each time), and Dell has offered me an upgrade to Windows 8 in the hopes that the problem will not recur there. But I see from Microsoft's tech chat that Windows 8 users are reporting

Above all I understand the frustration as a same issue persists for a very long time.
At first I'm thinking if it is directly related to the application CrashPlan some customers mentioned in one of the threads you provided. However I then noticed that you said it could be also reproduced by creating a System Restore point.
Currently I cannot find a Windows 7 system so I used a Windows 8.1 laptop (also Dell) for testing.
I tried to play an online video and also a local video with creating a restore point in the middle. However I failed to reproduce the same behavior.
The following screenshot was captured in second test (play a local video):
I cannot confirm if it is because we have a large physical memory (8GB), or Windows 8.1 resolved this issue. From the screenshot, memory is not spiked (actually it is almost not changed).
So in current situation you can test to enlarge the size of physical memory (and virtual memory) for test if available. And as Dell provided a Windows 8 system, you can try it before and after installing Windows 8.1.
As a support engineer I also hope to help fix the issue or at least find out the cause. Later I will try to find a Windows 7 system for testing as well.
In addition, please understand that as the issue occurs mostly in Windows 7, though it seems related to VSS, it is still a Windows client system issue. So you can post the question to Windows 7 forum for further information. Here is the link:

Any easier way to linking audio-a and video-v files?

Hi everyone
I've received some DV-Clips from a friend of mine who captures his videomaterial into split audio and video files. Now I don't like working with these split files and would like to relink these into one file with audio and video integrated. And if possible do this in some kind of batch function.
I could export the corresponding audio and video files from final cut into one file. But seeing that there are quite alot of clips to manage, that's seems a bit of a boring task. Any ideas? I've tried looking through my manuals and asking help, but haven't found anything yet.

You could nest or add the audio to the video at the QT level via QT player and re-import.
I work with them split almost always, remember hit bb to bring up the razor all. This will chop both at the same time.

Why do some songs and videos stop playing or freeze while playing?

I have an 80 gig iPod classic that I never had problems with until now. I started noticing songs and videos I bought from iTunes aren't working. They will play for 30 seconds, stop, and go to the next song. I called iTunes, and they told me to use the online support but it hasn't helped me. Every time I go on there, it just tells me to call again. I've also tried to restore my iPod and it didn't work, so I'm wondering if anyone else has found and alternate way to fix it.

I have a similar problem. My IPod 5 and 3Gen will stop playing songs about halfway through. The timer indicates its playing but no music. When I've checked these songs on in ITunes they pay fine and completely. I've tried removing them from ITunes and downloading again but with no success. This seems to be random and as I have over 2K worth of songs its difficult for me to determin where the problem is. One of the reasons I purchased the IPod 5 was hopes to eliminate this problem. Any ideas on what other things I can do to solve this problem?

Why are my photos and videos syncing sideways in my computer? When I email or sync photos they are sideways. I've called apple and they are no help. I can fix the pictures, but the videos are a different story. Please help. I have an HP comp Win 7

My pictures and videos are shown correctly in my phone and when I play videos in itunes they are upright, but the location they are saved on my computer they are side ways. There has got to be a setting somewhere to fix this. Please help.

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
See how you go.

The photos and videos are not imported that way. The problem lies with whatever photo/video viewing software you are using with Windoze which is ignoring or not recognizing the photo/video orientation info which is included with the photo/video EXIF data by the iPhone.
I've never had this problem but I use a Mac which doesn't ignore photo/video orientation info included with photo/video EXIF data.
