Why is Calendar Location not a Link?!
Love the iPhone! However... I can't help but be incredibly annoyed by the following. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... but why in the world is the following feature not available?
When I plug something in as a calendar appointment, I make sure to plug in the address (with state and zip). Now, when I open the appointment on my iPhone calendar, why in the world is the address not a link to the map? Such that if I need to see where the location is of my meeting, I can't just click the "location" in the appointment and have a Google map open with the location.
Is there a way to make this happen? Or is this in the line up for software updates?

I don't know of a way to make this happen.
As this a a user to user forum, made up of iphone users, there is no way to know what Apple may or may not introduce in the future - unless they announce (which they rarely do).
I have not seen an announcement.
You could try looking through the manual, in case it is there and I missed it.

I thought this was happening to me too recently, until I realized I had a second calendar open on my computer (I use Gmail). I was entering events into my 'Home' calendar in iCal - which is not set up to anything. I had to make sure my Gmail calendar was open. I ended up having to transer a bunch of stuff over from my 'Home' calendar to my Gmail calendar. If you are using iCal, you can see mutliple calendars open at once and it's not overly obvious to which calendar you are adding events. I'm now real careful to have my Gmail calendar as being the ONLY calendar that is visible.

Why a calendar is not momentarily available
In all my calendars the status is "The calendar is not momentarily available". This was also the situation before I updated the newest versions of Mozilla and Lightning. Cookies are on. I reset also the password relating to the calendar. After that Google asked password again. It seems that the problem is in the server handling the calendar?
I have the same problem. Making an appointment gives an error: Modification failed.
On the other hand, synchronizing from Gmail does work. (I didn't use the Google Calendar, but the ICS-option.
A strange thing is that when I was triying to make a new calendar, the option Google calendar was missing in the pop-up window. Only the options iCalendar, CalDAV and WCAP are available. So it is also impossible to make a link tot the Google Calendar. -
Why are calendar subscriptions not up to date?
When I select Subscriptions from within iCal, the available options are dated 2010 and 2011, even in the Most recent list.
Why are more current calendars not available?
Also, I have downloaded the US Holiday calendar before. It updates the holidays every year except Easter. However, the site does not
offer a Christian holiday calendar except a link that is way out of date. What gives?Thanks for the input. I had been searching the wrong words. I never thought to search for subscriptions.

R. UhleSince no one here can possibly know what you specifically mean by "tried everything that other people are saying", no one can determine what you did wrong. Also, you didn't say what computer OS you use.

Calendar question - not syncing Gmail
I recently created a new Gmail account. My old Gmail account is my Apple ID, so everything was synced to that. I have the Gmail app set up as my new email account now, but it will not sync the calendar. In settings, under Gmail, it shows the correct email, and calendars are turned "on." Why is it not finding my calendar updates though? Is it because my Apple ID is my old email? I've linked the two email accounts, shared calendars with both accounts, but it's still not working

Thanks!Somehow you must be missing a detail, there's no reason for the Calendar app to not see the GMail calendar if the GMail account has been created and Calendar setting is turned on.
In re-reading your posts there are a few fishy things:
1- Your Apple ID has no relation to this. Even if your old GMail address is being used as your Apple ID that will have no effect on your Calendar. The key question is, in Settings do you still have this old e-mail address set up as an account? If so, delete this old GMail account from Settings/Mail if you're not using it. Deleting this account will have no effect on your ability to buy things from the iTunes store. You should only have the GMail account you're using entered into Settings/Mail. Once you do that, make sure that Calendar is turned ON for this account, and make sure that this account is being used as the default Calendar account in Settings/Mail (in the Calendar section).
2- In your first post you said "I have the Gmail app set up as my new email account now" The GMail app is only for mail, it does not provide Calendar support, so if all you did was add the app and sign into your GMail account, that's why your Calendar is not updating. If this is what's going on, you need to add your (new) GMail address as an account in Settings/Mail. If you're sure that you did this, there is no reason for your Calendar app to not see the caldendar associated with this account.
3- In your first post you said "I've linked the two email accounts, shared calendars with both accounts, but it's still not working" I suppose you did this as part of your troubleshooting, but there should be no reason to link two GMail accounts to get your calendars to show up. -
Why does this message pop up on my PC after i start up " (AppleSyncNotifier.exe-Entry Point Not Found ) the procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in dynamic link library SQlite3.dll. ? What can I do to fix this problem ?

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear. -
Tried to update iTunes. After downloading I get this message: Procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in dynamic link library SQLite3.dll ?? What does that mean?!

I have subscribed to US Holidays calendar in iCal. These holidays show up in iCal on my iPhone and on my iPad, but not on iMac. When I "get info" for that calendar, "location" is set to iCloud.

Since switching to Yosemite, I am unable to paste any information into calendar events, instead having to type out all info such as location, notes, etc. This is true both in daily view and weekly/monthly views as well. Help?

all the links in the header of any websites are not working, the cursor is not changing into pointer and no way to click on any link located at the top of any website page. I reinstalled firefox and it s the same. No problem in others browser. the tool bar is working but not the links inside any web page located between the top 300px height.

Tried to upgrade as instructed and after uninstalling and reinstalling (even back to the former iTunes which I was happy with)several times, keep getting message "Procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library" followed by "iTunes was not installed properly" "Error 7". Help, please??
Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Why do Outlook calendar invites appear on my iPod touch calendar but not my iCloud calendar? I use Outlook at work and if I want to add events to the calendar on my iPod Touch which I use as a PDA I simply create the event in outlook select my gmail email address and invite myself. The event appears on my iPod Touch...all well and good...now with the advent of iCloud I would like to see all events on my iPod calendar on the iCloud calendar that I view on my PC. At the moment only events that I have added directly onto the iPod calendar appear on the iCloud calendar.
I have messed around abit syncing and unsyncing, Turning the Calendar on and off in the iCloud setting on the device but nothing is really working. Any easy to follow suggestions or is it a trip to the geniuses in order?Not sure why you'd want to alter an artist name anyway but...
In iTunes, right-click selected track and click "Get Info" then edit the artist field and possibly the album artist too (edit as in... make sure they have a value (the correct artist name)). Delete the faulty track on your iPod and then re-upload the new one.
Another thing is that if you left the music player open on your iPod when you add the new track, sometimes I find that it doesnt find any of the new songs you add until you close and then re-open the app on the iPod.
