Why is Circa 1948 app available on iPod touch but not my Mac?

Unfortunately my iPod Touch does not support the latest OS update, so I cannot download Circa 1948, although it is available via Search. It is not available on my iMac OS X 10.9.2. Am I doing something wrong?

Is there any way to keep apps on my ipod touch but not keep copies of them on my PC? I have space issues on my PC, so I don't want to have to keep copies there. I deleted the apps from my PC, but when I synced my ipod to add some photos, all my apps were deleted from my ipod. Is there any way to be able to just sync photos and music, and not apps? Seems I am able to manually manage music, which allows me to not have to keep my music library stored on my PC, but can't get the photos to sync without the apps syncing too.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I'm new at this.

though purchased apps can be re-downloaded for free, i strongly advise against such a practice !

The Music app on my ipod touch will not open, it loads but the sceen is always blank and then closes the music app and goes back to my list of apps.. what do i do? any ideas?

I have the same problem since a couple days ago, I will try to refrain from swearing or slagging on Apple, got a few questions for you, Gerbrandt, or anyone else who's had this problem and worked around it by means of a 3rd party app:
1-Since using panamp have you used your ipod in any docks successfully? (ex: I have a JVC car deck, a Klipsch dock and the Yamaha dock for my home theatre, all will be worthless if I can't resurrect my iPod as a music player)
2-Has using panamp done anything to help the original Apple music app to work or has it stayed dead?
3-Do you have any smart playlists? Like others with the 64GB model I have many many songs (that's the WHOLE point of the large capacity iPod, isn't it?) and I found that the more smart playlists I had the worse the apple music app behaved back when it was still working.
I'll check out panamp tonight, hopefully that will stop me from curb-stomping my iPod.
Anyone know whether an Apple "genius" has access to any sort of debugging facilities that would make it worth visiting the store for help on this matter? (ex: if they have root access to check for corrupt song database, or debug logs of some sort, or can do any direct manipulation of commands over the dock connector).
It sure would be nice to know why this happens, I have about 14,000 songs locked in iTunes now and many hours of time invested in ripping my CD collection but I don't want to buy a replacement iPod only to have this happen to it too. It's annoying enough the 4 hours it takes to resynch after a system restore (which in the end did nothing to resolve the original issue).

Try going to Settings>Store and sign out and sign back in.
It also could be due to an Apple server problem. and yu will just have to wait and try again.

Why were you never able to sync? You should be reguarly syncing

Windows XP can't import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the files to your computer's hard drive.

the search in safari searches the net, not the 100's of addresses, calendar entries, emails and notes on the iPhone. Any smartphone or phone billed and priced as a smartphone should do this. There should be a sense of urgency to address this one would think. Josh, we have received maybe three software updates now.

I recently got my daughter an iCess RC helicopter. It works via bluetooth and can be used with Apple and Android devices. She has a ipod touch, but when trying to do a search for "iCess" in the app store, nothing comes up. It shows up on my PC in the itunes store, but how do I get it on the ipod touch or its apps store?
Also having the same problem when trying to locate the app with my iPad and its app store. I got it installed on one of my android devices via the Google Play store so I know its there & works. Any ideas or suggestion on what is going on here with the iPod and iPad app stores?

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

Why isn't 4.3 available for Ipod Touch 2nd Generation?

I bought the 8G IPod Touch for my daughter as a Xmas present in November 2009. Now, less than 18 months later, I understand that Apple is refusing to provide the most up to date software version (ios 4.3) for this version of their product.
I would like to know from people who know the right answers:
i) whether this is correct
ii) whether there is any technical constraint in this model that prevents 4.3 running on this model
iii) whether Apple plan to provide any of the features of this upgrade in future software releases, particularly the Home Sharing function.
iv) whether this is simply a blatant attempt to force people to update their hardware?

Apple only keeps iOS updates available to the current and previous generation devices. Part of this is due to older models may not be able to deal with all the features of a new iOS. I believe it is a blatant attempt to get people to upgrade, but wait until the holiday season before upgrading because this is when Apple tends to start sale of the next gen iPods.

My iTunes app on my iPod touch will not open

So, for some odd reason, my iTunes app on my brand new I pod touch will not open.. I just bought an iTunes card and would like to use it, but iTunes is not cooperating.. Any suggestions on how to fix this????

Reset the iPod. No data will be deleted. (Press and hold both the home and the power button till the iPod restarts)
Restore the iPod. (Restore it to Factory Settings --> Make a backup first, all data will be deleted)

App update on iPod touch is not working

I tried updating recently but due to bad wi-fi connection, it failed.
Now, I try and update it and I get a message saying that you have already purchased this, but it had trouble downloading. It then says to connect it to computer and download it there, but I don't have a computer with me!
I just use my iPod, and I need this app update!

Did you try to delete the app on your ipod and download a fresh copy again?
But deleting it on your ipod will also remove the data from this app!
