The newsgroup server, or WebLogic does not like that address?

I finally stumbled across a fix for this problem, and in case someone else is frustrated at some point by a similar issue I'm posting what finally worked to enable me to bring iTunes up at any time (without rebooting first).
The solution was to go to the preferences to uncheck "search for shared libraries".
I'm glad the problem is fixed, but Apple developers really should include a timeout function on iTunes search for a shared libraries. At least a visual dialog to confirm that the application is in the process of searching for a shared library on the network would help provide clues as to what is causing the spinning beach ball to appear right about the time the application window should pop up.

Why does GarageBand '11 not recognise my MIDI Controller?

My Evolution MK-249 MIDI controller keyboard is recognised as being on the USB 3.0 Hi-Speed Bus in the System Information window, but is not recognised by GarageBand '11 nor does it appear as a device in Audio MIDI Setup. As a test, I plugged in a USB microphone + headset and GarageBand immediately detected the device and it appeared in Audio MIDI Setup.
Evolution are no longer in business, but support has been picked up by M-AUDIO. According to their website the MK-249 is amongst many MIDI devices for which "the class-compliant drivers built into Mac OS X provide full support for all features.".

I have just realised I have put this on the wrong forum - it is not relevant to iOS. I will now post it in the correct forum, please pardon my ignorance!

I have a Iphone 42 and want to transfer my photos to my PC why does my computer not recognise the Iphone when I connect it to the pc?

Can any help. I want to transfer photos on my Iphone 4s to my PC, my computer will not recognise the phone when I connect via the USB port to the PC. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Do you get any response from the computer when you plug the phone in? I'm guessing that you are going into Computer to see if you find the phone? If you go into Device Manager, do you see any errors in the USB area?

Why does my iPod not recognise my passcode on restrictions passcode page

The passcode for my iPod is no longer recognised when I try to open the restrictions page in the Settings app. How can one device have 2 passcodes ? Do I have to wipe the device and start again ? How do I know it will not happen again /

There is the normal Lock Screen passcode and there is a Restrictions passcode. They are each different. We don't know your passcode nor does Apple. If you forget the passcode:

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Why will Netbeans will not recognise any of my added librarys

I have installed the IAIK and BCEL librarys, they are recoginised when I compile using command prompt but Net Beans cannot find them?
So if I compile using command prompt I will get no errors but if I compile using net beans I will get plenty if I use classes or methods form these librarys.
Is there any reason for this? What can I do to solve this?

CLASSPATH environment variable (not so good) to tell
the compiler where to find classes.I use an env variable
IDE's don't use those mechanisms. They usually have a

how it finds classes. But if it can't find them, it's

Two questions, why will Apple support not recognise a uk telephone number and why will the diagnostics button on an e-mail work! It is driving me crazy trying to get through to Apple support!!!!

You shouldn't need to use the DNG converter unless you are using the MAC app version. The D5300 should be supported by Camera Raw 8.3 which should be compatible with Photoshop Elements 12.
In the editor go to Help -> About Plug-in -> Camera Raw to see which version you have loaded. The latest for Photoshop Elements 12 is 8.5. If you have an older one then go to the Help menu and select Updates.
If you are up to date, then you may have use old Nikon software to access the NEF files and that is known to corrupt them so that Photoshop Elements can't read them.

Why does image capture not recognise mac camera

When i go onto image capture, it says there are no camera's or scanners. How do I find the original camera that came with the mac (there is definitely a camera on the mac)? Is this possible?

Image capture is for importing/copying images off a camera memory card or from a scanner. It doesn't activate the built in camera. For that open Photo Booth.

Airport Express not recognised by airport utility

I have the new version airport express. Airport utility says it does not exist ! Despite this iphone says it exists.
I have connected airport express with ethernet cable to router and green light on - great ! But still airport utility will not recognise airport express !
I remove ethernet cable and we're back to flashing amber light.
Unplug the thing no solution back to flashing amber light.
It appears I cannot use the wireless function of airport express ??
Can anyone explain why airport utility will not recognise airport express - it seems you need it to configure the thing right ?

Oh forgot to mention just in case its relevant - using windows 7 and really only want airport express to connect to my stereo at this stage

E65 - Does not recognise a few of my contacts

I recieve a text message from a friend, save the details straight from the txt to contacts and whenever that person contacts me in the future (either via txt or voice call) the contact name does not come up. I know the number is entered in the phone correctly as I use the details to dial out? Why does the phone not recognise the contact when it's correctly entered into the phone?
I have even tried re-entering the phone number from the start, but it will not recognise?

if you have a duplicated the number, either by using another name or even using the same name, it will not be "recognized", the number should only be put once in your contact, then it will show your contact's name...
